Avoid This Contractor -- Save Yourself the Headache Hiring this tree contractor was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a service provider. What should have been a straightforward job dragged on for 11 months, with him showing up maybe two days a month, and only for a few hours at a time. The only thing he was consistent about was stopping by to collect more payment. Once the full balance was paid, the work stopped completely. His lack of professionalism caused issues far beyond my own trees. He damaged my neighbors' property, left ropes hanging in their trees, and created tension that I ended up paying out of pocket to fix just to preserve the relationship. Even after all that, he never returned to clean up the mess he left on their property -- now I have to hire someone else to finish what he abandoned. Communication was extremely poor. I repeatedly asked him to show up and finish the job, and he either ignored the messages or made excuses. By the end, he claimed he had "underquoted" the job and refused to commit to a completion date unless I paid him more -- after nearly a year of delays and broken promises. Every time he did show up, he left trash, materials, and drink containers scattered around my yard as if he'd be back later that day. Then he wouldn't return for weeks, leaving me to clean up after him. If you're considering hiring him, do yourself a favor and get a quote from literally anyone else.
