Now, mind you my primary GP is also a Cardiologist and has never brought to my attention that my BP has ever been a concern on ANY of my doctors visits for almost 10 years but now, the Heart Group with Jagroop Basraon has after a phone conversation a week ago decided that it is of a concern for them!?? Really strange especially since they had NO CLUE that my primary is a Cardiologist!?

Every visit begins with an apathetic stare from the front desk. I've arrived to be told I don't have an appointment, accompanied again by a blank stare. I can't seem to get an issue dealt with despite being told on three separate occasions that someone would call me right back. I've left a couple messages never to receive a return call. My needs are basic, and I'm not getting them met. I tried to tell someone at the front desk about a problem once and the response was, "OK..." I'd recommend steering clear of here if you have another option.

I was repeatedly told someone would follow up, but that never happened. Because of this lack of communication, his sinusitis worsened and went untreated. After I called multiple times and faxed over the report, I was then told that Dr. Demera wanted to obtain the actual images. The office contacted me asking me to pick up the images on a disc because they did not know how to retrieve them. I had to explain that they should be contacting radiology, not medical records, to obtain the images. Even after they received the images, I still did not get a call back despite several more attempts to follow up. At one point, I was even told they didn't know the doctor wanted to review the images, which made no sense since I had already been told the images would be placed on his desk and that he would call me. That was in late February, and now it is April with still no communication. I was also told during his visit that his breathing was fine, which was not accurate. His condition became so severe that we had to go to urgent care, where he needed two breathing treatments and was ultimately sent to the ER. My son's allergies are not mild--his numbers are extremely high and require attentive, responsive care. This experience has been heartbreaking and incredibly frustrating as a parent. Due to these issues, I have found a new allergist. I truly hope this office improves communication and follow-through so other families do not go through the same experience.

My multitudious doctor adventures began when I got paralytic polio in 1953. Just before the…read morevaccine was ready. My mom was an RN who taught in a school of nursing, my dad was a conscientious objector in WW Ii. He wound up serving as a medic. In the years of early. childhood there I was, in several rehab type facilities! Learning to walk with long leg braces and crutches. And in those years as I grew into adolescence I met scores of them. It felt like platoons of doctor soldiers marching in on me. To say such things as, "We'll. be seeing you in surgery tomorrow at 7 a.m." After that I interacted with countless physicians, and possibly scarred a bunch of doctorly egos. I was an awful patient because I so much wanted to be back home, exploring the field, the stream, the small forest on the hill behind our house. For a couple of years it was nothing but swarms of white jackets, PTs and exercise gear. With the occasional visit to the OR again. Hardly ever more outdoors other than getting from one building to another. Now I think of myself as a capable doctor critic. So to me Dr. Samrao is an ok physician. I didn't get a warm sense of caring from him, and maybe that's just him pulling away from his practice as he retires. That will be quite a change for him, in which I wish him well.

Personally I have found that Dr. Samrao does not respect your privacy rights. As your doctor you should be able to discuss your medical conditions openly and candidly and it should be between you and the doctor (only). Unfortunately this is not the case. I Medical (mis) diagnosis and treatments have often been prescribed for conditions I don't have and not prescribed for medical conditions I did have. As such I, as the patient, have suffered the consequences--some have taken weeks to recover from and most recently months. A simple requested X-ray would have sent me back to work several months ago. Obtain copies of all your records when you go and review them very carefully. You will be months (maybe even years) attempting to correct errors. His quackery may have cost me my job. Also, don't expect him to inform you of any possible side effects of prescriptions. Either ask or READ the paperwork with the medications. I have gone to him for 10 years. It is only in the past 3 or 4 that I have noticed the decline in the care I receive--but then in Chowchilla/Madera what do you have to compare it to? If you are a "frequent flyer" you will like him.

When we arrived, the door was locked, there were no other patients, and we still waited another 30 minutes before being taken into a dirty exam room. We only saw a nurse practitioner who offered two options: medication or laser treatment. She couldn't provide the proper name of the medication and couldn't answer our questions about the laser, other than telling us it wasn't covered by insurance. This was particularly frustrating since insurance coverage was what their advertising led us to expect. We were told another employee would come in to explain the laser treatment, but after waiting and no one coming, we left. This employee was talking with the front desk staff and only offered to help when he saw us walking out. He then beat us to the parking lot to take what appeared to be a personal call. The entire experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and more focused on getting us in the door than actually providing care. We will not be returning.

From the X-rays, to scheduling the MRI, to scheduling the surgery, and all of the appointments in between and after surgery. The office staff is very nice and helpful and the office itself is very clean. They have AMI in the same office which is very convenient for X-rays; they get them back in literally minutes. Simonian's PA's are also great, especially Nate. I had surgery 12/03/19, almost 6 months ago, and my knee is doing great. Dr. Simonian is very experienced and a great doctor/surgeon.
