Every year, Rick Aguilar Studios host a workshop called "Know the Best Angle" with a wedding dresser and make-up artist. Initially a workshop for brides, but I am attending for usage in general media. In Hollywood, stars learn to pose Red Carpet style. I believe the Rick Aguilar Studio workshop is a must to for all of us in the predominant media world we live in. We all want to be perfect in every way right? Yesterday was my second experience with Rick Aguilar Studios for the Adler Planetarium Private Event. All photos look great!

I actually found…read moreher on Yelp originally and she took pictures of my family for a gift for my mom for Mother's Day. She got the pictures back to us super fast and my mom loves them! This last month Meagan took pictures for my engagement and she was available to do it for us very fast and with great communication! I received my pictures yet again before the time she had told me it would take and all of my family that has seen them in the last week tells me how great they are! I can't wait to the next stage in my life and I will definitely be using her again! :)

Our pictures really captured our daughters personality thanks to Meagan's warm personality! She captured our family having fun and enjoying each other rather than stiff posed shots. She also didn't rush the shoot. She wasn't looking at her watch to see if "time was up." She is a true professional that cares about the outcome of her work. We can't wait to work with her again!

Kiki very thoughtfully recommends outfits & colors that will work best in natural lighting and I'm glad I took her advice. Since then, she has done my son's 1 year birthday shoot/cake smash as well as his first birthday party, where we had ~200 guests. All of the photos she chose were beautiful, with vibrant colors & bright lighting (see attached pics!) I have referred her to several friends, who all decided to go with her after seeing her work. I would recommend Kiki for all family photo shoots and events!

I got married abroad and I was looking for a photographer for our second wedding ceremony back…read morehome. I came across Matt's website and knew he would be the perfect fit for us. The ceremony was small and low key with no bridal party/groomsmen. We just mainly wanted group photos with different family members and friends post ceremony, in addition to pictures during the ceremony. Matt was responsive and always easy to get in touch with, not to mention a really kind and nice person. Since this was the second time around, we did not want to do any artsy couples photos around the city or any getting ready pictures, and he was very understanding to what are needs were. Matt was amazing to work with! He was easygoing and laid back. I would definitely book him again for another family event or special occasion in the future. I highly recommend working with him! Thank you Matt for being there to capture our special day!

We knew we wanted videography for our wedding, but had no clue where to start. I watched so many…read morevideos in hopes of finding a theme or style I'd like without much luck. Too many seemed cheesy, had slow music, and seemed forced. After watching several of Kai's videos I knew we had found the right person. His amazing personality burst via email, showing genuine excitement and care about each step of the process. We explained certain aspects of the wedding we definitely wanted captured (first look, bouquet toss, drone footage, dancing during reception) and could not believe it was OUR wedding. The final product was gorgeous! He captured Chicago so perfectly, our special moments, and hilarious scenes we didn't even know happened at the wedding. Our friends instantly felt comfortable with Kai filming, making the entire day so genuine and filled with love. I have watched our video so many times in disbelief he was able to combine some of our favorite songs to our wedding day. Kai's creativity and vision exceeded our expectations. We are eternally grateful to have such a beautiful video to reminisce one of the best days of our lives!

Whether she is photographing weddings…read more(I've recommended her to several friends), events, babies, or pets (like mine), she always seems to perfectly capture the emotion or feeling in that moment. I'm in love with her photos. She's a great person to boot- really a pleasure to work with personally and professionally. Katie took puppy pics of my Boxer, Lucy, a couple months ago. Everyone loves the pics, and I get compliments on them all the time. As my family grows, I know Katie will be my go-to gal to capture all the milestones. I only wish I'd known about her when I got married. I had to add a few pics of my puppy in the review, too! Katie, you can totally reduce the pics if there are too many- you know I think my dog is the cutest ever.

Katie Ryan Photography rocks my socks. Plain and simple…read more I was so hesitant to hire someone to take pictures of my baby because she's such a serious baby when it comes to getting her picture taken. That, and the fact that I'm cheap and didn't think it would be worth spending money on pro pictures that I could "take myself," made me really leery on hiring anyone- which is why it took me nearly a year to do so! Boy was I dumb! From the moment Katie Ryan entered my home, I was not one bit disappointed. Quite the contrary! I remember thinking, almost instantly, how I wished we would've hired Katie Ryan Photography for more photo shoots rather than just our baby's one year photos!! Nevertheless the one year shoot is what was taken and, again, I was not one bit disappointed. Picture after picture after picture, my baby and her personality shined for the camera as she smiled and giggled and had a great time! My husband and I watched in complete awe as an instant connection was formed between our baby and Katie Ryan; it was really incredible! I haven't seen all the photos as this shoot was less than a month ago, but I have seen some teasers and WOW. The pictures are just beautiful and leaves me anxiously waiting to see the rest. (I actually ended up using one of the teasers in our 1st bday party Thank You cards- thanks to Katie Ryan Photography for sending a high res version of one of the teasers I liked!). Bottom line is if you're looking for a photographer who clearly loves what they do, who gives you rights to the images on disc, who travels to you, who catches the essence of the subject so that you're looking at a person rather than just a picture, then you're looking for Katie Ryan Photography!

The photo session took about an hour and a half, and she was great with our 9 month old daughter! In 90 minutes, we had several outfit changes and diaper changes, and still wound up with a great selection of excellent photos to choose from. After the photo session, Kim called us a few weeks later to let us know that the photos were ready to view. We met her at her house, and she projected the photos on the wall so that we could see them nice and big, the size that we would be ordering. She had coffee, tea, and snacks for us, and set the photos to a slideshow for us to enjoy. We were stressed out about having to choose only a few photos from such a great selection, but she helped us through the selection process and we were able to decide on a great grouping of pictures to order. We are currently waiting for our photos to be delivered. Will update review when we receive our final product. Overall, a great experience so far, and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for very high-quality prints to hang in their home!
