Earlier yesterday when I called, the guy that I talked to was very curt, dry and barely let me speak. I wanted to know if they sold a black color leotard, and elastic black color pants with some sequins on them that shine bright like diamonds. He said yes, we do. So when I walked in this morning, I was basically on my own. Tried looking for both-- the leotard and the pants. What he didn't tell me is that they had tiny, small leotards for kids. In light blue and pink. I asked someone and he walked away. Every now and then I like to dress up for Halloween and I have a Yelp event coming up soon; and they want us to look as dramatic, spooky as possible. So looking fwd. to it. So I ended up buying a UHU Glue Stick, a pair of round gray earrings, and a cute mask like I am going to a mascquerade or a ballroom event. I also got a nice black wig, with a clip-on comb. Prices are crazy, service is not very helpful nor friendly. They have a parking in the back and on the street. This is a year round store that sells: wigs, costumes, make up for every occasion. They have their sister store one block down that sells: books, toys, props, some art-crafts and gifts. I don't think I will be visiting either one of their stores again. Plenty of other stores that sell almost the same things--if not better with more affordable prices. Good for nothing. I don't know what kind of business do they do, being open year round.

But I cut them out and fixed it) and my friend got a really cute skirt for $8, since it's their final sale everything in there will be under $5, orders over 10lbs are $3/lb so go go go! Nothing is priced until checkout but those are some crazy deals! Parking is a bit tricky but there's some in the neighborhoods around or on the street if you're lucky. Bring your own bags because they don't provide it, there's a shorter line if you pay with cash or I forgot, I think it was Zelle? My friend said Western is the best and she was absolutely right! Christina worked with me to make sure I had a costume with one days notice for my daughter's school project. She emailed me photos, talked me through what measurements she needed and even recommended an alternative costume shop in case she didn't have what I needed. Not only did she have the perfect costume, but she found the best accessory for the dress and helped fit my daughter as well. And she gave me a great price for the rental! I was fortunate enough to chat with Lily! She asked me exactly what I was there to receive, and I told her I needed a fun costume, without spending tons and tons of money. We went through a catalog, and then we took a walk to see what costumes were lurking. I found a cool costume, and also another one. We were both pleased that at least we narrowed it down to just two. We came to the consensus that although one may be a bit more lively, the other would be more comfy for an all-day event. I sent a picture for approval, and I was told everything worked except the Hat. Forunatly, We knew that if we switched the hat, we could still have a great look. She got me two potential Hats from a very high shelf in the back. And I couldn't quite decide, so I ended up purchasing both! I knew that I didn't want to take any more time in analysis paralysis, but Lily was very patient with me, and she knew this was important to me, so she was right by my side the whole time! Once I got home I noticed that there was a stain on one of the hats that we just didn't catch, so I came back to make a note, and Christina, her boss, was kind enough to take some baby wipes and make it looks spick and span. It's funny because once the stain from the silly hat was gone, I said, " ok good, now I feel confident wearing this!" Both Lily and Christina were very kind, pleasant, and helpful. We added numerous items we wanted to use for our daughter's upcoming high school graduation and upcoming birthday. Sure, we could have possibly ordered these items on Amazon and saved a few cents, but I still like to touch and hold the items I wish to buy in my hands and see them up close for myself, instead of simply viewing everything on a computer screen and/or on my cell phone. Call me old-fashioned As we paid for our merchandise, the cashier explained that the reason this store and four other Party City stores still existed in Southern California was that they were independently owned.
