Very cool year round horror/Halloween shop! We stopped in while in the area and to waste some time. Being as it is a novelty shop and in the LA area, a lot of items were very pricy so I did not purchase anything, but I still loved the whole vibe of the store. They had lots of animatronics and even a massive Coraline statue. I liked that there were different themed rooms that you could walk in and they even had old timey Halloween decorations which I loved. They even had a whole wall of t-shirts for sale! It's a great place to shop of unique gifts and/or Halloween decorations -- they also have a costume shop a block away. I can't really comment on service since I didn't buy anything, but definitely check this place out if you're ever in the area!

This store has been on my bookmark/collection for quite some time. I hardly am in this area but when I knew I would be somewhat in the area, I decided to make a mandatory stop. The store actually has a new location which is literally a few doors/feet down. You can park on the street or on the side of store but not too many spots. As soon as you step foot into the store, you are transported to Halloween Town, Spooky Town, or your worst nightmare. From classic horror films to pop culture villains, you will find anything your little black heart desires. Prices are a bit high but lots of items to choose from. Definitely a place to check out, especially if you are spooky!

Don't let this guy catch you on your phone lol

Traveled all the way to visit this place to buy a bunch of gifts. They have the worst customer service I've ever had, honestly best thing to do is go on Amazon. really hate to say that, but if you're gonna hire people to treat people like they're stupid ...... watch out for this guy

Bethany lowe sassy cat candy bucket.

I like the place and idea of it. Stopped by while I was in southern California. I noticed that there was a lot of ridiculous rules. No photos, limited browsing, no price checking on your phone, and all sales final. I was happy with my purchase of a bethany lowe candy bucket, but my best friend was beyond pissed after buying 2 super overpriced coraline dolls. I don't blame him, I would have been pissed too. Not sure if I would go back.

It's a big store dedicated to all things Halloween and Christmas, which is a weird mix but whatevers. There's hardly any circulation inside the store and it doesn't help that everything smells musty, which tracks considering how old the costumes are. There's a decent selection of everything you could possibly be looking for, but they're outdated and it feels like someone's trying to offload a bunch of things they've been keeping in storage. Overall if you don't want to shop online and want to look at Halloween things in-person, it might be worth a look. Truth be told though, you'll be able to find everything cheaper and in better quality elsewhere.

Even their website lists this location as Kreepy Halloween... But they updated everything... I get using the same domain name, but there's ways to make it easy to find or navigate... "Kreep Halloween - Sherman Oaks" but use the same everything else. It's a huge emporium of all things costume, cosplay and halloween from awesome wigs and accessories to incredible masks, props, replica weapons and beyond. There's sections and areas for all ages, sizes and genders. Outstanding holiday decor from the moment you cross the threshold and are greeted by their friendly security and/or helpful staff. I wanted to check out the lay of the land, this being the former Joann's (Fabrics, before they went out of business) and often a Spirit Halloween location prior to that. Honestly enjoyed Kreepy Halloween and while it was a little chaotic, over packed with product and the week of all hallow's eve, everyone does their part to assist and keep this store up. A lot of the Joann's signs are still up and/or very visible, which is to be expected with such a short turnaround time. I believe this store physically opened here in August and additionally there is a Kreepy Halloween in Los Feliz as of October, second location. Customer service is personable for sure, however the line was a little confusing with not the best clear signs to guide you or markers to let you know where the line physically starts. They had me go up past the first few registers not in use to just behind a gap where employees enter and exit... I made sure there was room and didn't stand in the way of the opening, but no indicators, marks or instruction for this that I could noticeably see... Other than that, they did have up to four to five registers open and the line moved quickly. Reasonable prices and parking both underground and on the ground level at the Riverside-Woodman plaza on the corner of the streets of the same names - diagonal from Notre Dame High.

My friend said Western is the best and she was absolutely right! Christina worked with me to make sure I had a costume with one days notice for my daughter's school project. She emailed me photos, talked me through what measurements she needed and even recommended an alternative costume shop in case she didn't have what I needed. Not only did she have the perfect costume, but she found the best accessory for the dress and helped fit my daughter as well. And she gave me a great price for the rental! Christina was gracious, deeply knowledgeable, professional and just a joy to work with. Thank you, Christina!!!!

I was fortunate enough to chat with Lily! She asked me exactly what I was there to receive, and I told her I needed a fun costume, without spending tons and tons of money. We went through a catalog, and then we took a walk to see what costumes were lurking. I found a cool costume, and also another one. We were both pleased that at least we narrowed it down to just two. We came to the consensus that although one may be a bit more lively, the other would be more comfy for an all-day event. I sent a picture for approval, and I was told everything worked except the Hat. Forunatly, We knew that if we switched the hat, we could still have a great look. She got me two potential Hats from a very high shelf in the back. And I couldn't quite decide, so I ended up purchasing both! I knew that I didn't want to take any more time in analysis paralysis, but Lily was very patient with me, and she knew this was important to me, so she was right by my side the whole time! Once I got home I noticed that there was a stain on one of the hats that we just didn't catch, so I came back to make a note, and Christina, her boss, was kind enough to take some baby wipes and make it looks spick and span. It's funny because once the stain from the silly hat was gone, I said, " ok good, now I feel confident wearing this!" Both Lily and Christina were very kind, pleasant, and helpful. I highly recommend visiting them for all your costume needs! And I look forward to returning someday. Maybe even Halloween season! Thanks so much for your patience and kindness!!!

I have never in my 20 years of working in this industry encountered the unprofessionalism and…read moreoutright rudeness that I did here today. To say I was treated less than human would be an understatement. I called MPCC at 9:36am and told them myself and a colleague would be coming in today. We have 6 films going into production between Q4 and Q2 2026. We generally film on the east coast but have decided to shoot local so we needed to find new local costume and prop house. I asked them on this call what I needed in order for us to come today. I was told I had to set up an account. No problem. I asked what I needed to submit in order to do that as I know each place is different. I was told all I needed to do was send an email with a One Sheet of our company. That was literally ALL i was told needed to happen for me to come in today. I sent that information immediately (9:47am) and also included a link to our companies IMDB and one of our films which is the one going into production the soonest. My coworker and I drive over (she came from nearly an hour away) and we arrive a few minutes before 11am. We walk up toward the door and a man begins to yell at us to get off the property, we're not welcome there, leave immediately, they don't want us there, etc. I was completely confused. I tried explaining to him that I had called and submitted my paperwork earlier but he continued to yell for another 4-5 minutes. I told him I was happy to show him my call log and email to the company in which I literally said I would be coming in TODAY. He went inside. I then got a phone call from MPCC and the woman said she was the manager. I told her I had sent in my information and told her I would be coming in today. She cut me off, and with just as much politeness as her colleague, said to me that she never gave me permission to come and I was not allowed to be there nor did I say I was coming in (mind you, I have an email to prove I did in fact say this and I also said it on the phone call). Then she said "did I say you had an account? No, I didn't." At that point I was just dumbstruck. In what world would anyone treat a potential client with such disrespect, especially a person who not so much as raised their voice and was not for even a second short or rude in return. I asked her why she didn't inform me earlier that more paperwork needed to be complete and said she only said I needed a one sheet to which she snapped at me that I'm wrong and that she'll tell me when I'm allowed to step foot on their property. At that point I told her thanks but no thanks. I would be bringing my business elsewhere. I went down the street to Western Costumes and then to Universal where they were normal and not jerks for no reason whatsoever. Also where they tell you exactly what you need to fill out ahead of time and not act like you're an idiot for not knowing the procedures at a company you've never been to. Also for those wondering: You only need to give your name and company to go to the Universal lot and for western costumes you submit a credit card authorization. Because god forbid they took the minute and half to allow me to fill out a credit card authorization while there. We all know how hard that would have been. I guess MPCC also needed my firstborn and kidney to step foot through the door. Honestly, I have no idea how this place stays in business when they speak to people the way they did today. But I certainly won't be using them and I will be letting every producer I work alongside know to go elsewhere. This town is small and word of mouth travels. Maybe try speaking to people like they're human beings. It goes a long way.
