I didn't want to block the only lane open trying to make a left turn if it wasn't feasible because when traffic backs up sometimes people block the entrance. I was trying to determine if I should go to the right to wait it out or if I could make the left when I proceeded after the firetruck turned around. The guy went directly into a rage and accused me of "telling him what to do" although no words or negative behaviors had transpired. I didn't bother asking the question because he was clearly in no mood to communicate, it was very much akin to a road rage situation coming from him. I wasn't expecting that level of unprofesionalism and was quite taken aback by it. Simply trying to do my part to avoid blocking the road certainly didn't warrant that level of animosity. I don't know what his issue is but determining what is actually happening instead of rushing into a rage would be a better face of the dept. I live here and accidents are a very common occurrence, unfortunately. I know you all know the frequency of these mishaps, I am a 100% disabled veteran and having served I fully understand the need to control a situation and was just trying to do my part in regards to traffic flow. I understand the mission and have a great deal of respect for those who serve, is it too much to ask that such respect is mutual?
