Was stuck with a newly acquired car breaking down on the side of the road with coolant all gone! Called Eurotech and Ken was very easy and upfront talking to me. I towed it over for him that day and he called me next day to update it's not looking good. We worked it out that this job may need a shop with more specialty diagnostic tools so we decided to work it out with another shop as a mutual decision. He was very honest with me and super friendly to work with. As I ordered for another tow to another shop, I asked how much I owe him for the initial diagnostic work, he said don't worry about it! This is a tough review ... I'm a home mechanic who brings project cars to the pros when I get in over my head. Sought these guys out to help with a new-to-me Mercedes C300. They were very friendly and did a great job busting loose stuck ball joint that broke my tool. They gave me a referral to a great tire place that I will definitely use again. I also asked them to check into an electrical problem and a growling noise that I thought might be bearings. $400 later I had no useful info about the electrical problem, nothing definitive about the growling and left with a new check engine light. Traction control and ABS were non functional and was told I'd have to take it to a dealer. Great... Driving was now unsafe. I inadvertently peeled out of the parking lot. $650 later with another Indy Euro garage that specializes in Mercedes... The check engine light is off, car is safe to drive, growling is fixed and so is the electrical problem. Also was made aware of a minor oil leak, and an impending problem with the intake manifold that had a broken lever. Might be back with other cars but probably not my Merc. Sorry, guys... Hands down the best service & prices in the area! I have been a customer for the past 3 years, ever since I moved to Rancho Cordova. I regularly have my Mercedes E350 serviced by Ken - who I wholeheartedly trust with my car. I've had a couple of repairs pop up unexpectedly and have always walked away feeling confident that I made the right decision by taking my car to Eurotech. Just this past weekend, I was on my way to the Bay for my son's birthday party with a car full of decor & essentials and my car started shaking before getting on the freeway. I bought my 2006 Volvo V70R over to Eurotech to have a coolant leak by what I assumed was by the expansion tank investigated. I had met Ken the owner a few months prior at a nearby 7-11 and exchanged pleasantries based on our love for the Volvo R's. He told me to stop by if I ever needed help on mine. I arrived to his shop and was pleasantly greeted, and we spoke about my issue. He had a feeling it was the expansion tank and quoted me the total cost of the job. Very reasonable. Ken happened to have avalibility at that moment to take the car. I glady handed over the keys and let them do the work. Picked up the car some time later that day and was all taken care of. I was very impressed with the level of care, responsiveness, and willingness to help. I really appreciate that Ken didn't try to up sell me on extra parts or service as I have run in with other shops in the area. I know my cars needs more service, and it was just nice not to get a " we can fix that for $1000.00 bucks, approve or disapprove before we work on your car " email or text. My Jag F-Pace needed an O2 sensor replaced. Ken was able to quickly get the job done. There ended up being another issue, however, and Ken referred me to someone that could help solve that problem. When I owned a Volvo, Ken was my guy. But when I bought a Subaru, I first went to the dealership but it was obvious they only cared about people buying cars not those who own them. So I found a local shop close to my work. Initially, oil changes were convenient and quick. But then, something changed and after two incidences of feeling invisible and as if no one cared about me or my car, it was time to look around. I was happy to find that Ken works on Subaru's! I went in for an oil change but asked Ken for a thorough inspection as my previous tech always said, "Yeah, everything looks good" but never offered any details making me doubt that he looked at anything. Ken inspected each system and found my spark plugs and fog lights needed replacing, did the oil change and recommended some additives in the fuel system. He accommodated my time schedule and the work was done as promised. Trust is hard to come by these days, but my return to Ken and his staff gives me hope there are people who take pride in their work, word and reputation. Dropped my Audi S4 off after a weekend at Thunderhill Raceway Park 107 miles away. Well, a day and a half, really; Sunday afternoon was spent waiting patiently for a tow and then riding in the tow truck to Sacramento. Note to the wise: always get the AAA "Elite" towing package with 200 mile tows! Radiator was kaput - a rock or similar had penetrated it at speed, and it drizzled its contents sadly into the paddock at Thunderhill. I don't know how much you know about cars, but of the various fluids you'd not feel safe driving very far without, coolant is right up there with oil, second only to brake fluid. Windshield wiper fluid? Unimportant. Power steering? For weaklings. Coolant? Only if you care about not grenading your engine. The pro tip I got from a rally racer at the track was JB weld, but I had no JB weld (and besides, who wants to wait 6 hours for it to cure and *then* find out that it didn't work). So a tow it had to be. After the Sunday evening drop-off, I spoke to Ken Monday morning and by Tuesday afternoon, the radiator in question was replaced, new coolant added, and a punchlist supplied of other things he'd noted when looking over the car (I declined; I do my own work for the things he cited, and he wasn't grumpy about it). When I'd approved the repair, he had given me a maximum figure for labor and by the time the work was done, the figure dropped as he said it might, depending on difficulty of install. Well done, Ken! Wednesday morning I picked it up and went on my merry way, very happy that Eurotech was out there in the world and available to take my car in for repair on short notice. Bravo! The only other option I considered was somehow towing to my place another 100 miles away, getting parts from FCP Euro, and doing the work myself - but this worked out much better. read more

Hands down, the best service I've ever had from a car repair shop. I just purchased a 2009 Audi A5 from a used car dealership, and I had white smoke coming out of my tail pipe that was a little concerning to me. I needed an inspection immediately because I was on the last day of returning the car if there were any issues. I called around to a few places, and they charged way too much, or they had no availability. I called Eurotech and spoke with Ken, who was awesome, in my opinion! He said if I could come that day, he could perform a very detailed inspection. Ken assured me everything was ok with my car, and the exhaust was fine. I went in and wanted a new radiator as my old one had cracked and they charged me $496.80 for just the part and $898.36 for total installation. which I assumed was a new one as the junkyard ones are available on line for $125 and new ones at auto part stores up to $250 depending on the supplier. I just thought that was typical business upcharge. The worst part I just went and looked at it and it is a junkyard used radiator as it is filled with a bunch of bugs which did not occur on my 3 mile drive home where none were on my windshield. This is total dishonesty. I was not expecting junkyard parts. They say I have a 2year 24,000 mile warranty but only on "new parts". So how does that even apply. This is all done with a smile on their face. If you go there be forewarned and be specific that you do not want junkyard products whose remaining life is questionable. read more

I would give zero stars if I could . Dealing with this shop was a absolute NIGHTMARE. My timing chain went out in my 2013 Mercedes C250 after calling several shops this one seemed to be the one with most availability ...believe me that's for a reason . My husband was quoted a flat price of 3000$ over the phone by the owner Ken which seemed pretty reasonable . He advised him that we could tow the car there anytime but he would need some time to run a diagnostic and work on the car since the timing chain was a BIG job and had several cars in front of us . No problem we were just happy to find someone who could get the job done , we were advised that a $1500 deposit would be required in order for him to take a look at it...again no problem . Couple of days go by we had not heard a single update on the car or any findings on the vehicle as far as a diagnostic ...my husband gives Ken a call to check on the status and at that time we were told to allow a few more days since it "had been raining" which caused him to be backed up on other cars . Mind u the shop is on the inside so I'm not sure what the rain had to do with anything but again not a problem ...the weekend goes by the shop is closed on weekends . We get a call from Ken the following week with news the timing chain was in fact off and needed some additional repairs and now the total cost of the car would now be 5,000$ . We agreed that would be ok and he could proceed with the repairs . He then advised us AGAIN it would be a big job but he could do it and to allow a week or two . Understood ...fast forward about a week later Ken gives my husband a call and tells him he's "not comfortable" fixing the timing chain because he believed that there were metal pieces in the engine and that he could now fix the car by replacing the engine but it would now cost us $12,000-1800... we don't have that kind of money just laying around so he informed us he could go ahead and stop on the repairs and would call us back later with what we owe . This was on a Thursday. Fast forward to Tuesday the next week we still have not heard from Ken or the shop . At this point everything started to seem very sketchy since this man has been giving us the run around for weeks now . My husband calls him to follow up on what we owe and make arrangements to have the car towed , Ken all of sudden did not know who my husband was and then had the audacity to tell him we owe him more money but he can keep our $1500 deposit and call it even . WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME ? $1500 to take the car apart and not do any kind of work is absolutely insane . He proceeds to tell him he spent hours taking the car apart and all the money we put down will go towards labor . This Man is a complete CROOK! How do we even know he took the car apart ? I feel completely taken advantage of I'm a mother of 3 small children and on a fixed income right now and this man literally just robbed us for our money . Also did not put my car together left big pieces in the backseat in plastic with a bunch of screws . For 1500$ you could of least put the car back how u got it and that's if you really took it apart ... Please stay FAR away from this shop and find a mechanic who actually cares about fixing your car and handles business with integrity! read more

Excellent customer service and down to earth folks at Eurotech. I've been using them for a few years now based on a friend's recommendation and have been very happy here. Ken is very approachable, has a great sense of humor, and treats all his customers like old friends. After any servicing, they provide a list of recommended servicing based on your cars condition, and explain why it matters. They've even pointed out what I could take care of myself to save a bit of money. There's no high-pressure sales efforts here, and I appreciate that a lot. I'm finally getting around to writing this review because they recently went above and beyond. On a Friday afternoon, Ken called to let me know that my car was ready for pick up, but due to really poor planning on my part, I was unable to get to the shop before closing for the holiday weekend. The guys at Eurotech were amazing. I called and told ken about some concerns I had about my vacuum pump on my Audi. We set up an appointment 2 days later and when I arrived he already had a new vaccine pump in the store if needed. A couple hours after dropping it off I got a call saying it was ready. When I picked it up he showed me the old part where it was cracked and leaking. I left very happy; they were honest, fairly priced, fast, and even did a courtesy inspection that notified me of other future repairs (which they weren't pushy about fixing which is always nice). While driving home my coil pack went out (it was 11 years old) and I called ken who told me to bring it back right away. They stayed after hours to pick up the correct coil pack from another shop and fix it for me. Overall amazing customer service! read more

I'm a first timed car buyer that went for a 2007 Volvo. While a fun and safe drive, Volvo's can be expensive when maintenance is required. I'm obviously no mechanic and always get nervous when I get the dreaded "service required" message. But every time I have tried going to a new place, I always regret it. Both Peter and Ken give A+ customer service while providing expert knowledge and opinion. There were two times I was quoted for services/parts that were extremely expensive or unnecessary. I have never felt I was being conned, or that I was putting an exuberant amount of money into my car. I love Eurotech and would literally recommend them to anyone! Ibe never men so disappointed and felt taken advantage of. I had to take my car in 2 time. 1st time for an oil leak and I wrote a list of things I wanted checked out. When I pick my car up. They all said they never got and of my concerns. So I had to take it back I second time. Which took forever to get my car back. The PDC WAS MALFUNCTIONING JUST 2 on the sensors also one of the many things that REALLY BORTHERED ME WAS WHEN THEY WERE CHECKING FOR OIL LEAKS. THEY SAID NOTHING ABOUT A MAJOR power steeling leak. Which you would of thought they would of notice. One of the employees stated it was one of the worst power sterling leaking he had seen????? Why not fix both both at the same thing. Also the PDC SENSORS WERE MALFUNCTIONING ONLY 2. Which still isnt working as it suppose to, to get more money. After waiting to get my car. I paid first then as I turnened on my car the sos was malfunctioning which had NEVER HAPPENED NOT EVEN 2 days before I took it in. He tried to play me for a fool and say it had always been on there and I just did not notice it. I've had 3 of the same car. So I know that's BS. AND THEY WEEE CLOSING. ALSO. NOW MY RADIO DOES NOT WORK. NO AM. FM. AUX AND MORE. WHY DID I SPEND OVER 5000.00$. They car came out in worse shape than when I took it in. I would find another place to take your car. They do. Here's an objective review and what I noticed: -Over 90% of their cars are old Volvos, don't be fooled by the name, they mainly work on volvos -I have a newer Audi S5 and the check engine light came on around 36k miles, I had to get it checked out. The mechanic took 2 hours to look at my car and even after going on google to print out specifics about the car, he still couldn't figure out what was wrong. -One of the codes was for a faulty engine mount, they quoted me about 1100 -The other code they needed more time and money to continue diagnosing -When the mechanic parked my car, he opened the driver's door and slammed it against another car next to it. Are you kidding me dude?? This is a very expensive German car not your crap old Volvos you guys are used to working on. Well I had a feeling they were inexperienced and left.They at least turned off the check engine light. About a month later I went to a different mechanic. He said since the light did not come back again and the computer did not show any codes that the car reset and it was a random/ faulty light to begin with. No problems with the car. Well here I am months later at 41k miles and still no check engine light. Car runs great. If you have a newer German car go elsewhere, If you have an old crap Volvo go here. read more
