I usually don't leave bad reviews but I really feel that it is necessary. I want to start by saying that I live in Chicago and go regularly to EWC (every 5 weeks) but am on vacation for my wedding. I went to Angel because she had great Yelp reviews. Yes she is very nice but no she is NOT a good waxer. She didn't show me how my face looked while/after waxing which was really bizarre but I thought maybe just with the masks it's different? She left a good chunk of hair on my upper lip, like it looked like she missed half. There was also a ton of hair left in my nose. It was super frustrating because I had to go back and didn't realize it right away while I was there because she didn't show me (which is normal practice in Chicago). I also had a Brazilian done. I felt like she didn't wait for the wax to get tacky and during the waxing process I was kind of like oh that's more sticky than it should be - but didn't say anything. Now I'm actually having hair grow back (and noticed some spots she missed) two days later. This has literally never been a problem before - and like I said I have been a consistent waxer for 2+ years at EWC. I am still a huge fan of EWC but just not the location or maybe just not Angel? I only gave 2 stars because Avery was nice enough to fix the lip/nose wax and did a great job. read more

My first appointment with a different waxer went fairly well. I needed a last minute wax before going out of town. My only option was LaVerne. She's nice enough, but unfortunately I've left my appointment in tears. She pretends like she waxes everything twice and then goes in with the tweezers to be through, but frankly, based on these results it's because she has absolutely no idea what she's doing. She asked if I wanted her to get anything she missed and I had her re-do one part that was awful, but frankly I didn't want to get waxed again for a third time. I should've noticed the red flag when she was the only waxer today and almost every appointment was still available when I looked last night. Incredibly upset and will be looking for a different company from now on. read more

Had a Brazilian wax done by Vern, I believe, and it was pretty early but she didn't wait for the wax to melt all the way first so when I stood up to leave there was wax stuck to my body and she told me that it was cause she didn't let it melt all the way, because they just opened. Additionally she didn't offer anything to help me clean it off or anything and sent me on my merry way. When I got home there was wax stuck to like my jeans and underwear, and I'm very upset because there are not many ways to remove it. They are cheaper than my last wax place, but definitely not up to quality. It still did turn out nice, which is why it's 3 stars, she got all the spots that needed to be hit. But left me with hard sticky wax in some places. read more

I've been to this location a few times (hit or miss). This last trip was my last. My appointment was for 5:30 and I got there 5 minutes early. At 5:45 I asked the women at the desk how much longer; they told me my appointment was actually for 5:45 and it would be a few minutes. At 5:50 my appointment began. After the visit, I checked my email confirmation, and sure enough, my appointment was a 5:30, so they lied to me. The waxing itself was terrible - a bikini and nostril wax. After getting home and seeing it more up close, the tech didn't come close to removing all the hair. And, I got some welts on my skin from where she went over the same spot more than a couple of times. I went somewhere else to get waxed, and the tech showed surprise at how bad the EW wax was. I called to try and talk to a manager Tuesday to share this feedback. It's now Sunday, and the manager never called me back. Another manager from another location called. I left her a message, but she never called back either. Don't bother with this place - find another business or spend a little extra at a spa. It's worth it. read more

Booked an appointment online. Showed up early only to be told the online booking system does not work. I figured they would still honor my appointment as it was an error on their behalf. But instead was turned away. Horrible customer service. Go to Felix Andrew Salon instead! It's in the same plaza, less than 2 minutes away. Angel is the best, hands down! She makes sure that you're comfortable and relaxed and always remembers the conversations. Angel is AMAZING! I only gave 3 stars as you can not communicate with management or get questions answered. Nobody gets back to you. When you're there they won't speak to you, when you call it's "she just stepped out", messages go unreturned. As a retail store manager I truly don't understand how their customer service in this sense is so poor. Not to mention they had cancelled or never scheduled my last appointment? I had the dates written down as I scheduled it on my way out but when I called they had nothing on file. Overall the wax services with Angel are incomparable- you won't find better. But if you have any issues with your account, you're SOL. read more

I've been to several European Wax Centers from Tampa, to Atlanta, and Orlando and I've never bothered to write a review until now. I've been going to Natalia for almost a year and she is the BEST WAXER. I have friends who always ask me question because they've been wanting to get a Brazilian wax and I always tell them to go to Natalia because she takes so much care of her clients from asking of the wax is too hot, making sure they're comfortable, and tries her best to make it as painless as possible! They recently opened a place in fort Myers but I'd rather drive the 30 minutes to get the best care from Natalia and I won't transfer location unless she does! read more

This is our second bad experience here. The first was with my handicapped mother. We called and asked if they had availability for a walk in. They said they did. When we got there they refused us. The second time was today. Both my daughter and I made appointments online only to be told there were no appointments for us when we arrived. We drove from Buckingham for our appointments. They did not make any effort to fit us in. Plus, they knew they have had problems with their online booking system. Totally their fault with no effort to rectify. Go someplace else! read more

Kim is amazing and is the only person I trust in the area with all of my waxing needs. She's personable, and does a great job! I've been going to her for two years now and don't plan on ever changing. She shapes eyebrows perfectly! Their wax is so much better for you than wax at traditional salons, more gentle and NO double dipping (ew)! I got a full bikini wax with Hannah today and I am very disappointed. While she was friendly, the patch of hair i told her to leave aka the "landing strip" is more than an inch off center and looks *completely* ridiculous I didn't even notice because i didn't check before i left but I'm shocked they'd let someone walk out of there looking so ridiculous. I'm gonna have to tweeze all of the hairs out to make it look even remotely normal. I'd expect more for a $45 service. read more

In terms of waxing and wax products, EWC is the way to go. They have the best wax for hair removal that is minimally painful. However, I could not get in to my regular location with my regular girl and called this location and asked for their recommended esthetician for an eyebrow wax within a 2 hour window and was excited to be squeezed in on such short notice. I was in the room for all of 3 minutes and the experience was absolutely terrible. From start to finish, it felt rushed and when I pointed out that my eyebrows are naturally misshapen just to give her a heads up, she denied being able to see it. That should've been my red flag to get up and walk out of there. I highly recommend European wax center. I don't recommend Kwa. read more

I have been waxing with EWC for eight or nine years in five different states. Natalia at the Estero location is literally the best wax specialist I've ever had. She used some ninja techniques to make my Brazilian absolutely perfect and the least painful I've had. To top it off I was 15 minutes late due to some beach traffic and they were gracious enough to still fit me in. I will be back in three weeks. I would attach pictures if I could. ;) read more

Ive been going to this location for about a year to see Angel for a Brazilian. Shes a great waxer and easy to talk. Very sweet! I have also seen Savannah i believe her name is. I do wait a while when I check in but thats because of CDC guidelines. Theres never more than 2 customers in there and only one may wait in the waiting area. Consider the two specialists I mentioned for a good wax! The 2 ladies are great listeners too and will accommodate any issue or request your have :) read more

I've written a review about this EWC in Coconut Point before but somehow it's no longer here. Not sure if that's Yelp or what but.... this EWC is extremely unprofessional as others have reviewed. Even if you have an appointment be prepared to sit in the traffic comfortable waiting room for atleast 15-25 minutes AFTER your "appointment" time. Affordable for the quality of wax and detail they do. Very clean area. The only downside is that the front desk really pushes for you to sign up for a package. Such a great experience as it was my first time getting a Brazilian wax. The staff at the front was very friendly and welcoming. My waxer Natalya was amazing, I was nervous and scared being that it was my first time and she made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Received my 2nd brazilian from Latica 2 days ago. She is very thorough, quick and knowledgable. She does a perfect job. The second time I went in, it had been 2 and a half months since the first brazilian and I had shaved so the hair was at all different lengths. Letica said I could come back in a week or she would remove as much as possible but some hairs were too short. She ended up getting every single hair! She's awesome! And she knows her stuff. Bought the ingrown hair serum the first time and it keeps the skin perfect. You gotta get it. All their products are wonderful. They will give you sample packets which have lasted for me to the second waxing! Next on my wish list is the soap. Everything smells so good and fresh. Love everything here. It was my first time ever getting waxed. I'm 6 months pregnant with twins and we'll, I couldn't groom myself anymore so a friend told me about EWC. I called and made an appointment. Which was extremely easy. I decided to go all out and get a Brazilian. Of course I was apprehensive because I'm pregnant and my doctor warned me about high sensitivity. Either way, something had to be done. I went in and my appointment was with Kayla who great and talked to me the whole time. It honestly was a great experience. I'm not going to lie, it hurt but it's over seconds after it's done. And I swear I feel more pain when I get my eyebrows threaded. I highly recommend EWC. This places is the epitome of cleanliness, professionalism and attention to detail. Your first wax is free! They have a few programs that allow you to get waxed more frequently at a discounted price. Angel was my waxer and she is friendly, comfortable to be around and open to talk or to stay quiet. My first visit I was getting a full Brazilian and was very nervous so I told her straight away and she walked me through each step. While the technicians are great I have to say the customer service and late policy are awful. They have a 10 min late policy. I arrived exactly on the 10th min and the computer wouldn't allow me to keep my appt as the nasty girl said I needed to be there within 9 min. It was pouring rain and traffic was a nightmare which delayed my arrival. They take no exceptions. I will never recommend this business and am cancelling my contract. My experience, was very different than many of the reviews. My appointment was very rushed. It was the most painful Brazilian, that I have ever had! The finished result was absolutely awful. I'm a member in Texas and was in Florida for a while so needed to get my bikini done while here. When I arrived there was no wipes in the restroom, no drinks offered. So I went next door to pick up a drink which was within the timeline of arrival. When the Esthetician came and called me to the back I told her what I wanted. Clearly she went at it and then her pager went off. In the middle of my service she started telling me she couldn't finish cause her next appt was here and I'd have to come back. But I was almost done. Who does that!!! I convinced her it's not conducive to get customers dressed and undressed for this sort of thing. I pay damn good money to be billed for their services monthly and now I'm being scooted out like a kid in class??!! Really??? When I got home I found left over wax in my private area to add insult to injury. Not cool EWC! I gave three stars as I would be cautious using such unprofessional staff. read more
