I love working with Europe Express. The agent I work with is very knowledgeable and intelligent and she and I have success together booking many trips. We are using my travel companion's travel agent, who I didn't know in advance doesn't directly book her client's reservations, she uses Europe Express. We had multiple challenges in the planning process, finally landed in an itinerary for which we bought most of the tickets, made most of our own excursion reservations because most what EE proposed was garbage. EE booked one excursion very important to our itinerary. With just a few weeks before our trip we learned they didn't book this important excursion and, to add insult to injury, our travel agent told us it could take 8 weeks for a refund- at least a month. This close to our travel dates it's impossible to secure tickets on our own (one of the most popular sites in Europe). Furthermore, in working with EE you will not receive an itemized statement, just a lump sum, so there's no transparency about what anything costs, including whatever we paid for their miserable service. read more

This company is the worst, they book you on the cheapest and longest flights with so many transfers when there are less expensive flights that have 1 transfer. The hotels are horrible and then if you wish to make any changes they refuse. Their cancellation policy is horrific and should be totally illegal, they were willing to refund $600 dollars on a $4800 trip. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I booked a trip to Switzerland with Europe Express through my travel agent. I always wanted to ride the Bernina Express, a panoramic train, and planned a trip around it. Throughout the process Europe Express was very slow to respond to my travel agent when I had questions or changes. After booking the trip, I happened to go on the Bernina Express' website and saw a notice that the tracks were closed on the dates of my travel and they were bussing people for half of the route. My travel agent called and asked Europe Express to switch the dates of my trip. It took them five days to respond to her that they would change the dates and another seven to actually come up with a new itinerary. I only moved the trip back by two weeks, but their price went up by over $4,000. I went on the internet and priced the same trip with upgraded rooms from what Europe Express offered and It was about half the price that they were charging. I canceled with Europe Express and booked the trip myself. Europe Express agreed to issue a refund for my deposit minus a planning fee on December 14, but it took them until December 18 to "process the refund." It's now December 25 and I still haven't received the refund. Travel agents should be careful about using this company. To begin with, I never felt "listened to ". After my phone conversation with Europe Express, what we discussed was not done. Also the price for tours were very inflated/ almost twice the cost of doing it on your own. After paying, I received a pile of paper work with lots of fine print. Cancellation policies were never explained and ended up being very expensive. There was never any care or concern shown. This company just takes your money and provides you with zero flexibility or accountability for you trip. Felt completely conned. The private transfers were so horrible we did not receive a single one. They were either late, or refused to take our baggage. No part of your trip is insured. They timelines are so tight that any delays could cause missed flights or trains. You can do this on your own. Our travel agent fought for the refund and EE fought tooth and nail to stiff me. It was stressful especially because EE overcharges by at least 10% on the same Hotel room you can book directly, so I had to eat that too. would NOT recommend using Europe Express!! Our travel agent booked our European vacation along with our cruise so we did not have the choice, had we known we would not have used them. Our flight and the first hotel started out ok, except for the fact that they booked us on a red eye flight that landed in Amsterdam at 9:30Am and we could not check into our hotel until 3pm. We tried to see some of the city but ended up nearly sleeping in the hotel lobby after almost being awake for 24 hours, I think the hotel took pity on us and we got into our room at @ 1pm. The next leg of our trip was a train ride from Amsterdam to Southampton via railway. We are still not sure if the issue was with the conductor that said we did not have the correct train tickets or the Europe Express, that booked the tickets, however either way, we were not able to get on the train, therefore we missed our connection and had to spend nearly six hours in the train station in Belgium, having never traveled by rail in Europe we tried to call the toll free number for Europe express that was all over our paperwork, we were told that they were closed and would not be open to help us for several hours. Unable to get any help from them, we figured out that situation and finally arrived at our next hotel that was booked for us after at least 14 hours of travel that day. Upon arrival and meeting our family that was meeting us for the cruise portion of our trip we went into our room to settle in for the night, the hotel was quite old and outdated with very uncomfortable beds and bedding, luckily it was only one night. We then proceeded on a 12 day cruise. When we disembarked from the cruise ship we then continued on to London for a few days before we fly back to the states. The hotel that we have been booked into, Melia White House, London looks beautiful from the outside and in the Lobby, however there are only two working elevators for a hotel full of guests. The first night when I got up to go to the bathroom during the night, I slipped on water on the floor, when I turned on the light to see where the water came from, I realized that we had a leak and water was dripping from the ceiling. Too tired to do anything about it, we just put towels down and alerted the front desk in the morning when we left to go sightseeing. When we returned to our room it appeared to be fixed, however as soon as we came back to the room and used the A/C, the leak has come back. Bottom line, Europe Express does not do any research on the hotels that they are booking for us. This vacation has cost somewhere around 50k and we are sleeping in a hotel with a leaking ceiling!!! Not to mention that my husband and I are traveling with our 16 year old son and every hotel he has had to sleep on a camp bed smaller than a twin bed, because they have booked us into rooms with only one bed for three people. I would NEVER use Europe Express again and we will no longer be recommending our travel agent, because of the fact that he uses their services. If we recommend to our clients that they use a travel agent that utilizes Europe Expresses services, we feel that we would be complicit in our clients receiving services that are sub par, and worth far less than the amount of money that they are paying for a luxurious vacation. I could have done a better job planning the trip myself, by just reading reviews of hotels than this company that you would hope does extensive research before booking hotels and making travel arrangements. read more

I bought a tour to Iceland from my travel agent who used this company. I had to cancel the tour because I had heart surgery and my cardiologist, along with my primary care physician, advised against traveling. My travel agent asked Europe Express to either give me a refund or credit for future travel. My agent advised that Europe Express refused to do either, causing me to lose more than $2,000. I consider them unfair, insensitive to customer needs, and unreasonable, and recommend never using them for travel. read more

Will leave you stranded in a foreign city with no driver because of a delayed flight then not answer you/call back or schedule you a new driver. For a 3 hour drive! Don't bother booking with them, and if you do, don't believe them when they tell you they'll call you back "in 30 minutes," they never will. Booked trip to Ireland. spring of 2022. illness forced cancel. met criteria for refund. was charged for airline flights even though Aer LIngus airline had a no cancel policy in place. Aer LIngus cannot take action as EuExpress booked reservation. I was refunded money to credit card within 6 wks of cancel ,short almost $1000.00 I sent letter US Mail to Wasington office. no response. Sent email ,response was I had to go thru travel agent My travel agent responded to their post. Refund refused. they have $250 pp cx fee which I agreed to pay. I offered to let them keep the airfare amount and give us a credit voucher, for future travel. they refused. . I gave original 3 stars thinking they would be willing to refund or give travel credit. not so !!!so 1 star or zero if possible. a total rip off. I plan to file a complaint thru Asta, Dot or appropriate legal channels. read more

IF there were a Zero I would have rated Europe Express with this rating. This agency was the worst experience we have ever had. They will book you hotels so far away from what you want to see, then you spend so much more money to get cabs and transfers to the good sites. They will call you AFTER you pay for a tour or a transfer, then say its no longer available, then you check on your own, and find plenty available! Then you have to wait 60 days for a credit on your card, CRAZY! The agent even stated she would never work with them again. The only reason this company was used was because my travel agent set it up. I would never use this company again. They book things then tell you how you are to use them instead of asking what your preferences are. Many of the tour companies they use could be eliminated as they did not provide a decent service. We were not consulted about hotels, and whether or not we had any special needs, we don't but others might and may need accommodations that would address those needs. It seems to me they chose the cheapest tour companies they could. They also did not allow enough time between train connections in London so we paid extra to make sure we left on an earlier train so we would not miss the connection. Rather than use them just do your own research and make your own arrangements, that is what I will do in the future. read more

Absolutely the worse experience as a travel agent. First they created their own airport cancellation policy. Then I was entitled to a refund of 3000 and waiting almost three months and neve received it. A chargeback was issued on my card for the amount, it was only then i was contacted by Europe Express claiming they process the refund incorrectly ON THEIR END and that was the reason they did not receive it. Only to an email later from an alledged persons tating that I issued an additional chargeback (which I did not). Turns out the individual had the incorrect card information. He harassed me for three months only to find out he had incorrect account information so we could not get to the bottom of the issue. He then started to stalk my business page and website meanwhile I had asked someone from accounting to give me a call and explain what is happening here. Well Europe Express strikes again. Did you know that they are charging Air Penalty Cancellation fees of $600 per person for a trip to Italy during a world pandemic! We booked air and land with them and gave them a deposit of over $7000 for a trip this September to Northern Italy back in December, but we were not told that if we cancelled, they would charge you penalty fee that is NOT listed in their contract. The contract only says additional penalty fees may apply. We had flights with British Airways and we confirmed with BA that they do not and would NOT charge $600 per person. We cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and who will be traveling to northern Italy or any of Europe this year. We asked many times for our money to be returned, but they said they only deal with Travel Agents. Well they took my credit card and did not have a problem with that. How horrible that they would treat customers like this when our world is in a crisis? They have not responded to any of our requests. Be very careful with this company, they are terrible to their paying customers....... read more

I worked with a travel agent at another company to book accommodations and excursions for a 3 week trip in Europe with my daughter. Midway through the trip it became apparent we could not complete the rest of the trip due to pain caused by my daughter's preexisting back problems. We consulted a doctor and made the decision to come home. Europe Express took our trip funds well in advance of any trip but apparently doesn't refund for any reason once the trip starts- even if plans are cancelled within the refund window allowed by the subcontracted companies providing the services. We were told we had to apply for the trip insurance reimbursement. So I did. However, I simply need an itemized list from Europe Express of the charges for the trip THAT THEY INVOICED ME FOR. One month later I can still not get this simple piece of information sitting in their computer system. After one month and many requests still no assistance. One excursion we attempted to attend was overbooked and we were kicked off the tour just as it was departing. We booked the tour months in advance and paid in advance. No company involved has refunded us yet as promised. They each claim the other company is the one to issue the refund. And which company should refund the price? You guessed it. Europe Express. Run if anyone tries to get you to book through this company. It is a scam. They book tours you can get yourself on Trip Advisor. They don't provide customer service once they have your payment nor do they help you to recoup costs if anything goes wrong. read more

I have used them before and it was fine however my experience cancelling my trip to Italy in the middle of a pandemic was disappointing. My travel insurance did not cover a pandemic and they charged me a fee to cancel even though the country itself is closed! I was offered a voucher but friends we were traveling with but booked elsewhere were able to get refunded 100%. This company is fine if nothing happens but don't expect them to be helpful if you really need them. Love my travel agent but will ask not to use this company again in the future. read more

Our trusted travel agent used Europe Express for three tours and excursions in Italy in summer 2019. Each one was a disappointment for different reasons. The first was a private castle and wine tour with car and driver in Chianti. Instead of being picked up at or near our hotel as has happened every time for private tours, we had to travel 30 minutes to Florence. A taxi would have been less than 160 euros to and from. They quoted almost $700 for the transfers which we wisely declined. The driver spoke very limited English, "no" was his favorite word, he was gruff, and had no bottles of water in the car. The car was clean. The tours and wines were so-so, and we were served the same foods at each tasting. The second tour was a yacht tour off Cinque Terre. The evening before, we we notified that the tour was cancelled because they had only 4 guests and needed 6 to make money. We were offered a shorter ride on a small boat from a different village. We'd prepaid for our train tickets so we lost that value. The dinghy ride was underwhelming and the boat was dirty. The final tour was to be a walking tour of Como, ferry ride across the lake, lunch and olive oil tasting. We got a walk around the area by our hotel, a ferry ride with some narration, and a ride back. No lunch, no tasting. We're waiting over a month for a partial refund on this. For a company in the hospitality business, their customer care is atrocious. It was fine for them to make changes, but when we inquired about a different pick up location, they gave us the "go to Hell" exorbitant quote. Our advice, for a good time, do not use this company. read more

If I could rate this a zero star, I would. We have been trying to contact this company to book a group tour with them and, after being left on hold for 5 minutes each time we were sent to a recorded message asking us to leave a message (no live person ever picked up the phone). We left several messages, none of which have been returned. Additionally, we have tried to register our company on their website in order to receive an e-quote, and after filling in all of the forms and attempting to submit, their site gives us an error message with no explanation as to why. Very frustrating. If their customer service is this bad when we're trying to hire them, I can only imagine what it might be like if we did hire them. read more

I am only giving them 1 star because lower ratings aren't possible. They have been the worst. I have had to rebook multiple items in my trip. First they had my family and I flying into London with no way to get to our final destination in Northern England. Our return flight to the US gave us a 5 hour layover in nyc, when there were multiple earlier flights available. They booked us a rental car we couldn't possibly pick up at the agency which would be closed by the time we arrived and the next day. Their alternative was for us to either drive 7 hours from London (after flying all night) or after traveling with kids for 24 hours get a taxi 25 miles away to a different agency and then drive almost an hour to our rental house. when I made alternate arrangements with the agency to drop the car off for us, Europe Express CANCELLED our reservation. They did not secure seats on our flights and I had to spend almost an hour with one airline and my family and I can't get seats together. I still have to call another airline to get seats home. Every mistake and inconvenience has been blamed on me. My travel documents just arrived on Friday for a trip this Friday. Never Again! I have always arranged our own travel and thought I'd give myself a break this time. It has been more work, more money and taken more time with very disappointing results. Do not book with Europe Express! They use misleading wording and then blame you for not finding their shady ways of handling bookings. We booked a trip to Rome and Paris. My paper work clearly states that all passengers have a luggage allowance for 1 checked bag so I was very surprised when I was told at one check in counter that we did not have a luggage allowance and would have to pay $212! I contacted Europe Express about this and they tried to say it was my fault for not checking the flight ahead of time because then I would have seen I didn't have a luggage allowance for that flight. What? My paper work says valid for all arrival flights. Is flying into Paris not an arrival flight? I should have been told at the time of booking that they weren't giving me a luggage allowance! I want to work with a company that is up front, honest and cares about their customers. Unfortunately I found out the hard way the Europe Express is the exact opposite! Shame on them read more
