Being of Polish and Hungarian decent and traveling overseas to Russia and Finland it's hard to find authentic foods that I have enjoyed. I stocked up on so many things. The best find though was Pulaski Products. They are a meat market in Linden NJ next to my hometown of Rahway. So wonderful to find a true piece of home.

The best description is to think of the more abundant in number Asian oriented markets in our area and their wide vareity of interesting and unusual foods over a very wide array of varieties and then to imagine if that were a European (Eastern and Western) version of the same. That is what Eurostor is like. Accompanied by a deli case for some prepared options to go. There is no seating area for dining on the premises. This is more of a grocery store. I did not purchase anything due to time and being overwhelmed, but hopefully some photos will help be to research some options to target on a return visit. I would imagine also, if you are from EU and expat here in Greenville, this would be a very exciting store to visit and a reminder of home.

Next time indeed will post pictures, or will try. Truly the aromatic scents of the Chicken Shawarma will capture your senses when you walk in the door of this wonderful merchant. Although I do have an image of my grocery haul while I was there. Bonus there is a Butcher with fresh meat selection if that is your fancy. There is also Lamb and Goat and it is Halal! Service is very professional. The ambiance is that of a locally owned small market. However, there are plenty of international options and fresh produce! An example, my pasta is from both Turkey and France! Do give them a try.

I was slightly nervous about this place when I walked in. It's a grocery store with a small kitchen…read morearea in the back, with a limited menu. I ordered the chicken shawarma with fries. You pay at the register up front. They don't have a dining area. It was very reasonably priced ($10 and change), which is a steal for the portions that they give you. When I got back to my office and opened the box I was shocked at the size of the chicken shawarma, it was a little smaller than a burrito from chipotle. They also give you a good portion of fries, basically filling up the whole to go box. They put some type of seasoning on the fries that is very good, and the sauces and spices they use on the chicken shawarma were amazing. Don't let the location and first impression fool you, the food is amazing. Everything was hot and fresh. The lady that was preparing the food was very kind and polite, and helped me figure everything out since it was my first time eating here. I will definitely be back.

We weren't on the freeway, so your standard snack spots were absent. Time was short and we needed to find a spot quickly. I actually drove by The Old Tyme Country store and The Old Tyme 50's Grill that's connected to it, I didn't think they were open. My friend spotted an open sign though, so I flipped the car around and pulled into the lot. This place is so lovingly out of the ordinary. There's a giant kitchen trailer parked in their lot with those old plastic tables with the chairs connected to them that you used to sit in when your mom forced you to eat food at a Mcdonald's play place. The kitchen is serving up straight up fair food all year round! Fried Oreos Funnel Cakes Those ribbon potatoes on a stick I'm so happy to know that if a friend has a serious need for a funnel cake that I can pop by here and pick one up, post haste! I selected a fish plate, while my friends stuck with burgers. You pay inside, and the inside is just out of control charming. It feels like this place is a natural out growth of the rug and antique store next to it.... Like someone had the idea of selling pickles, fresh sausage, eggs, and local dairy products and the Olde Tyme Country store was born. The woman that was working inside the store was positively the sweetest person I've ever met, a true southern belle. She was even sweet enough to turn on the juke box for us. Our food came out promptly and was exactly what I expected, deep fried wonderfulness. If you're a snooty holier than though everything must be artisanal gourmand, this is not your place. If you celebrate the simpler things in life, you will get a huge kick out of it. This place is stuck in time. Literally. There are little colorful clocks on the walls, but they've long since run out of batteries and ceased their functioning. There's an ice cream service station in the back, where you can get shakes and banana splits too. There's also a weird sort of kitchen/prep area that is just smack dab in the middle of the store. This place captivated me, and I really hope that I have future friends in need of rides to the Greenville Airport so that I can visit this spot again.
