It was embarassing daily when she barked and lunged at people for no apparent reason. I had my first 2 hour lesson with Jason last night, and the difference I can see in my Teeka already has made me enjoy our walk this evening, instead of me feeling uneasy of her reactions towards people we pass on our walks. I would highly recommend Jason as he was able to assess my dog's unwanted bullying behaviour as "guarding me" in my house and in public. He showed me how to take control at home, and and on our walks. I look forward to our next 3 sessions and a calmer and socially graceful pup.

Jason is the puppy whisperer. It's as simple as that. He understands dogs and dogs understand him…read more My puppy is my first dog and I had no idea what I was doing. My fear of doing the wrong thing was affecting my dog and was making me an ineffective dog owner. Jason corrected my behaviour so that we could correct my puppy's behaviour. She's 6 months old right now and is a very relaxed and well adjusted pup. Nobody ever tells you just how much work having a puppy is and Jason put my mind at ease and gave me the confidence to take her out and not over react to situations because now I KNOW that she will come when called. With Jason's help I learned to enjoy my puppy and everything that comes with being a puppy. I realize that her puppyhood is short lived and I am enjoying every minute of it. Within my first meeting with Jason I learned the basics of what to do and what not to do, what dogs need in order to thrive, (and no, it's not just bones and love) and how to properly communicate with my dog to let her know what I want from her. Trust is key in a relationship with your pet and I wouldn't have learned that without Jason's help. No amount of reading puppy books or talking to other dog owners will give you the in depth knowledge and hands on experience that Jason will provide. If you're doing something wrong, Jason will tell you and understand that this is what's best for your pet. Mango and I both love Jason and would highly recommend him to any old or new pet owners. Thanks Jason, see you at the dog park!

From Yogi I wasn't…read morealways this proud 150-pound brindle Akita you see today. I was a scared, reactive dog when my human found me. I'd been abused, and later, after finally finding a safe home, someone broke in... and I was beaten again. I don't trust easily. I bark when I feel unsafe. I protect my space fiercely. I need distance from other dogs--not because I don't care, but because I care too deeply and don't know how to show it safely. But my human understood. They walk me on a 6' lead, often shortened to 2'. They sit on the ground beside me when I'm overwhelmed. They give me time, space, and safety to choose connection. That's how I learned how to say: "If I turn sideways and offer my shoulders or my butt... you can touch me." It's not much, but it's my way of saying "I trust you." And Justine listened. On October 4, 2023, Justine became my personal walker once a week. My human told her the truth--every challenge, every warning. She had every reason to walk away. But she didn't. She stayed. She followed my signals. She gave me 15 minutes. Now we do 30-minute walks once a week. She must really love me. Then, on January 2, 2024, I met Laura--and fate stepped in again. I didn't know she worked with Justine. Now I have two amazing humans who take me out twice a week. They get me. They give me time. And I give them my trust. To the anxious pups, the misunderstood cats, the shy reptiles, the quiet rodents hiding under blankets: You are NOT broken You are NOT too much You just need the right people who will wait for you to feel safe I'm Yogi. I'm a 150-pound Protection Fluff with a gentle heart and a rough past. I don't take love lightly--but once I give it, it's forever. Sloppy kisses and steady eyes, --Yogi From Yogi's Human: Yogi came into my life with scars--some I could see, many I couldn't. And while I helped him find safety... he helped me survive too. Watching him grow from panic to patience, from tension to trust, has been the most powerful journey of my life. We have good days, tough ones, and breakthroughs. But we keep going. To Justine and Laura--thank you for stepping into our lives. You didn't just help my dog. You made it possible for me to breathe a little easier too. Do not send your dog here!…read more The new owner is completely incompetent, unprofessional, immature, inexperienced and treats his staff horribly. He has no experience with dogs and does nothing to help care for them. He will leave 50+ dogs alone in the pen and is not even watching them properly when he is in the pen. His lack of knowledge and experience is very apparent and he does not listen to his employees, who on the other hand most have years of experience. He is getting rid of really good staff without cause and having to care for the dogs on his own. Which can't lead to anything good considering he has no idea how to read dog body language, cues or break up a dog fight if one occurs. He is constantly on his phone and taking personal calls to the point where he doesn't even notice a fight about to break out right in front of him. Your dog will not be safely or properly cared for with this man. He is not to be trusted and I would strongly advise you to take your dog elsewhere.

The trainers were knowledgeable, interested, and gave us some really personalized tips and tricks for how to deal with the most stubborn dog I know! We are planning on continuing with their obedience training in Port Credit - in just 4 weeks of puppy foundations, we really noticed a difference in his behaviour. In addition to training, our dog LOVES daycare here at the Port Credit location. The staff say that he never lies down, and is just in seventh heaven the entire time. He comes home EXHAUSTED every time (full days and half days). I like that the staff is involved with the play time as well - they get in there and really get to know all of the dogs. I also trust that they will keep my dog safe and supervise all activities. They know all of the dogs well, and really understand how to handle all of their personalities. Only slight downsides: No play sessions during the summer! Closed on Sundays (everyone deserves a day off) Price - The price of daycare is pretty much on par with most of the other places in the area (so, not cheap), but I did pay $30 for just a bath.. not sure I'll do that again. They do a really good job with grooming though; actually listened to what we wanted. Sometimes the web cams aren't working, and all I want to do is pretend to be doing work while I watch our guy scamper around! All-in-all - such a fabulous place, with great staff and great doggy friends to be made!
