Our little boy is under one but has lots of teeth, so we got him checked out too. He wasn't a fan of the dentist/hygienists but they were quick and no tears were shed. From scheduling his appointment to our visit, we received excellent service. The staff and dentist made him feel comfortable. There are iPads and games to keep kiddos occupied and at ease. There are TVs at the cleaning stations. Our little guy has a small cavity and we were able to schedule an appointment quickly to have it filled and get sealant on other teeth. I also received a quote on what our insurance doesn't cover, the same day. Our little guy has an appointment coming up and he has some complex health care needs. She answered all of my questions with patience and helped ease my nerves. Unfortunately, my experience changed dramatically once Dr. Patel came in. His approach was judgmental, dismissive, and unprofessional. I was made to feel inadequate simply because I did not know the difference between certain types of x-rays. I had already taken the time to confirm everything with my insurance company before this appointment, but even if there was miscommunication, there is no reason for a patient to be spoken to with such negativity. What was most telling is that another employee felt the need to apologize to me afterward. That alone speaks volumes. As a result, I canceled the appointments I had scheduled for my children later in the day because I would not subject them to that type of treatment. It is disheartening to have such an experience, especially after working up the courage to return to dental care following previous negative experiences.
