nice place to stay, I don't think I would call it a hotel...., not sure correct name for this type of establishment; why not a "hotel", well this is just a building with whatever number of rooms they have (8, 10.. or a bit more, probably not) and a check-in happens across the street in a cafe/bar place, at one of the tables with a laptop on it. Parking situation is even worse; you can't park on a street because it is a residential neighborhood and have to have a permit, fee for not having one is €50, "hotel" has few invisible parking spots in front of one of the buildings that people have to park as close as posible to the building and most likely most that can fit is 3 cars..., then there are three more parking spots in back of a building that is down the street (spots being rented by hotel from some other homeowner..., but those spots are extremely difficult to get in as the width of the driveway is slightly wider then regular car and parking spots are barely same and there is barely any room to maneuver.. building is brick so if you touch a car (rental assumed) there will definitely be a damage (scrape)... all these parking issues can be resolved if you drive a mini copper or something similar. There is paid parking in town that's about 10 minutes away (walking) for a hefty price
Rooms are very small but very cute...; king size bed, good size refrigerator, microwave, desk, air conditioner....TV (cable), internet in room...
as mentioned earlier, town (Oxford) about 10 minutes away walking, nice beautiful walk... there are at least 2 grocery stores (Testo, Salisbury), and bunch of cafes and other establishments... grocery stores stay open till 10 or 11 pm, others close at 9 or before 10pm
streets do drive to hotel are super small and on few streets cars parked on left and right and barely one car can fit in between but somehow it is a 2-way street...
this reminds me more of a "bed-and-breakfast" rather than hotel... breakfast they have in cafe building for €12, which is I think is a bit high but for area that's normal I guess.
in room I got there was no bathtub but a shower (that's ok); bathroom reminds of "motel-6" though.... but mini kitchen area and desk are nice!!! there's even an ironing board... walls seem to be very thin as can hear easily neighbor
Overall me and wife liked this place and probably will come back!!! read more
