Let me share with you an awesome experience with the founder and owner of The Device Lab, Austin,…read morewho is calm, cool, collected, down to earth, and who impressed me so much that I feel compelled to share my story here. I would like to express my appreciation of Austin's professional ingenuity and get the word out that he is head and shoulder above Genius Bar in what he does-- device repair. Price is reasonable. Here is the quick story: Last Saturday (08-15-2026) I took my 2016 Apple MacBook Pro to Apple Genius Bar for diagnostic and repair, where I was received with utmost courtesy, waited there patiently for 1.5 hours, witnessed my computer given all kinds of diagnostic tactics by the receptionist, who did with all her earnest effort to revive it. Unfortunately I had to leave Genius Bar with the announcement that my MacBook Pro is "beyond repair." Unconvinced, I tried my luck on another store from online search and found The Device Lab, and Austin fixed it! Well, an old computer is an old computer and there is no need for much fuss or excitement about this triviality. But Austin left me with another impression: his sincerity and ability to do what he sets out to do, which is to repair. What can be cooler than a man who delivers his promise by doing what he likes and is good at? I spoke to Austin and found his business philosophy reasonable and truthful: doing what he likes, helping people, figuring out the cause of problem, getting things fixed without having to resort to replacement ( a favorite recommendation from big companies...). Behind this work ethic and principle is another guideline that directs his work: trust from his customers. I like that! O, by the way, there is another reason that urged me to write this review for Austin. He told me he started this company over a year ago, and I see in him what I had to go through back in 2004, when I started having my own tutoring center. I understand how a small business like his lives on word of mouth among customers, as it was with my own company. I also understand how negative comments tend to travel ten times faster than good, appreciative feedback. I think it is fair and natural that I share my thoughts with those who may be viewing his website for selection. One more thing: I live locally, and I love supporting local small business! What really stood out to me was that they actually had the screen in stock, every other place I called had to order it and told me it would take a couple of days, plus they were quoting me $20-$40 more. Not only was The Device Lab able to do the repair the same day but their pricing was super fair. On top of that, the vibe of the shop is honestly amazing. The moment I walked in, I noticed how warm and welcoming everything felt. I even complimented the owner because it's so different from the typical plain, white-wall repair shops. It felt chic, cozy, and thoughtfully put together. Love how he immediately gave the credit to his wife, you can tell he is extremely proud of her work and rightfully so because I would hire her to make my business look as cute as The Device Lab. Great service, great pricing, and a beautiful space. highly recommend! Thank you again, I know my Daughter needs an upgrade but the IPhone 11 will do for now.

I was helping my wife plan some custom stickers for her 30th Birthday party favours. I agreed to submit the design before the end of the day to try and get the order completed in time so there wouldn't be any rush fees. Unfortunately (my fault) although we got the designs sent over at 4:50pm, we ran in to some issues with their website not allowing us to proceed with adding the order to the basket and paying for it as the box was greyed out and it wasn't clear why this was the case. My wife (who happens to be a UX designer) tried and tried to complete the order and even after calling bezign and speaking to a colleague of Joes she wasn't able to get it done in time and eventually gave up in frustration as the time was past 5pm and had other things to sort out. I managed to get to it myself later on and figured out how to bypass the issue and submitted the order by 5:35pm, with a note explaining the issue we had with their website ordering process, hoping they might understand. I called the following morning as I hadn't received any confirmation email and spoke to the colleague who explained that on this occasion although we were a bit late, they would still fulfill the order without a rush fee, for which I was grateful - I wouldn't have minded paying extra - as they had been helpful up until this point and I apologised for the late submission. That's when things turned sour. Around 30 minutes later Joe called accusing me of trying to avoid paying a rush fee and in effect explained how this small order was not worth his time and wanted to refund the order unless I paid more. All the while I was trying to explain myself, what had happened and what his colleague and I had already agreed on. Joe was abrupt, unwilling to listen and would not allow me to speak without interruption. I was completely shocked and felt belittled as he insisted on going through the website ordering process interrogating me on what I had done, insisting there shouldn't be any issues with his website and how it was my fault for not doing it correctly. We agreed to disagree and refund the order. Although we haven't managed to get the stickers in time now for our event which is disappointing, Bezign has also lost a future customer from a fellow business owner who lives down the road in Moorpark. In my opinion this is not how business should be done, even if the customer has made a mistake. I won't be considering Bezign for any promotional products for my own business in the future. Good luck and hope you improve the website
