I was a little worried about attending bartending school because when I used to ask bartenders…read moreabout breaking into the industry, they always said, "Don't waste your money on bartending school." Most places want you to have real experience. However, one bartender suggested I do it to get the feel for pouring drinks & learn the basics. He also mentioned they do job placement. Although they didn't help me find a bar job, they provided a long list of places that may be hiring. I loved my experience at bar school! The program is two weeks long. You attend Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 5 or 6 to 9:30 p.m. Jack is a pretty cool instructor, and he knows his stuff. They have 14 stations. I was happy to be part of the afternoon class. It was small, and I still keep in touch with half of my classmates. I started applying for bar jobs the following week after receiving my letter of recommendation & certificate. I landed my 1st bartending job a month later. I also started a mobile bartending business & I have my first gig booked.

However, after spending ample time on the phone with Arienne de Vassal, I was convinced that the cultural care au pair program had highly qualified childcare that would fit my needs. What really stood out to me as a differentiator between cultural care and other au pair agencies was the screening process that both the family and au pair go through to ensure it is a good fit. I highly recommend reading a potential au pair's DISC assessment, which is a good indicator of their personality and how they will integrate into your family dynamic. It's been several months with our au pair, and I am so happy we did it! She fits in perfectly with our family, loves our son, and is a crucial part of the support system that allowed me to return to work. Cannot say enough positive things about Cultural Care and Arienne!

To address the issue: there was a director (who was there about 2 years), and has since been let go (late 2024). She wasn't great. The new director, Kaylen, is fantastic - professional, strives for parental involvement, brings structure. My child attended four years. I can't say enough about the teachers; they give so much of themselves to the students. They work so hard on their curriculum. They love the children. We've found such a sweet little community in this school. I always tell friends that it's a hidden gem, but it shouldn't be! It's centrally located, right by the med center and incredibly convenient for parents who work there. The building has large classrooms, two playgrounds, a gym, a library, a sanctuary, and a large communal area for events. So consider this a review to address the haters. But also one of praise for such a special little place that I would hate to see suffer because people never gave it a chance.

All the teachers were wonderful and supportive. They loved my daughter, and you could really tell were as excited about her growth and learning as we were. The campus is great, and they take full advantage of it. They have two playgrounds, one for big kids and one for younger kids. If it's raining, the kids still get to move around by either going on buggy rides through the building or playing in the big gym. They did tons of arts and crafts, and I cherish all the handprint art. After we moved across town we still drove all the way to FCS for 10 months, that's how you know it's good! I recommend the school to my friends.
