HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! SEVERE BURNS AFTER LASER HAIR REMOVAL AT SEMPER LASER HALLANDALE BEACH!…read moreI want to share my extremely painful and traumatic experience at SEMPER LASER in Hallandale Beach, Florida, to warn other customers about what happened to me.I had been a loyal customer of SEMPER LASER for more than two and a half years. Throughout that time, I trusted this company and its technicians, regularly received laser hair removal treatments, and expected professional and safe service. Unfortunately, on October 12, 2026, that trust was completely destroyed.
On that day, I arrived for my scheduled laser hair removal appointment. The procedure was performed by a technician who I had sessions with in the past.From the very beginning of the treatment, I experienced extremely intense, burning pain that was completely different from anything I had felt during my previous sessions.
I repeatedly told the technician that I was in severe pain, that my skin felt like it was burning, and that these sensations were not normal.Instead of immediately stopping the procedure, examining my skin, and checking whether the laser settings were appropriate, the technician continued the treatment. When I complained about the pain, I was told that it was normal, that I needed to tolerate it, and that I should apply aloe vera afterward.What is most disturbing is that while I was repeatedly complaining about severe pain during the procedure, The pain eventually became so unbearable, I started to experience chills and sweat together with goose bumps like feelings and at the same time and at some point; when half of my second lower leg was done, I asked to stop.
I was scheduled to treat multiple areas on that day but I simply could not tolerate the pain anymore. During the procedure, I was positioned in a way that prevented me from seeing the areas being treated, and I was wearing protective eyewear. I was completely dependent on the technician's attention, judgment, and professionalism to monitor my skin's reaction.
When I stood up from the stretch bed and removed my eyewear protection glasses, I asked the technician why the reaction was that severe and my lower legs very completely red, she reassured me that this is normal and the redness would go away in a couple of hours. While leaving the premises, I informed the supervisor that the procedure had been unusually way too painful and that I could not tolerate continuing it, so I asked to reschedule my remaining areas for some other day.The redness did not go away, instead I started to experience chills and fever and extreme itching.
Approximately four hours later, I returned to SEMPER LASER because I was extremely concerned about the condition of my legs.
I again spoke with the supervisor and complained about my leg's condition.When she saw my legs, she exclaimed, "OH MY GOD!"She then asked another technician to examine my legs and review the laser treatment settings recorded in the computer system.According to my recollection, another technician came to the front desk and I showed my legs. She also expressed regret that the procedure had not been stopped after the visible burn marks appeared.I was absolutely shocked.If another technician could immediately question whether the laser was appropriate for my skin type, why did the technician performing my treatment continue despite my repeated complaints of unbearable pain?
As a result of this incident, I had to seek medical attention at an independent dermatologist, where I was diagnosed with multiple skin burns, according to the medical evaluation.
I came to SEMPER LASER for a cosmetic procedure that I had undergone many times before. Instead of the results I expected, I was left with multiple second-degree burns, the need for medical treatment, physical pain, and serious concerns about possible permanent damage to my skin.
Be careful who you are dealing with, instead of a hair removal, you may be severely burned with your legs destroyed.
