The manager is a really nice man, he is older, but will do anything he can to help you. There are a few people that stay here full time. A big complaint is the laundry/shower house, it really needs a face lift and some TLC that place is not inviting to shower in at all. In the laundry/shower house there are 2 washers, 2 dryers, 1 men's restroom with shower and 1 women's restroom with shower. I also wish there were more lighting around here at night. This campground is really jammed packed, you won't have a yard and not much room to park in your spot, luckily I drive a small car. The road right next to the campground is a route that emergency vehicles take every day/night, so you will hear sirens often. There are no bells and whistles to this place but we like the location and the price.

There are really two parts to this park. It's a COE, Corp of Engineer, park and we've been to many…read moreof those. Some are gated and some are not. This one is not. It sits at the base of the dam and has a campground section and a day use section. This review is mainly for the campground section. It's a pretty park but when we first arrived we weren't sure what to make of it. Grass looked like it hadn't been mowed in quite a while but it was mowed while we were there which really improved the appearance. The inner circle of campsites all have full hookups and the outer circle has water and electricity. We were pretty surprised to see so many who "live" within the system. One camper told us folks go between this park and another park every 14 days. A school bus even comes to take the kids who "live" here to school. Our first night we were on the outside loop and next to one group who played the bass music. Ugh. Where was the host? We had no clue. Yes, there is a camp host or volunteer. In the 5 days we were there we saw him once. A couple of times we went looking for him and never could find him. His site needs to be cleaned up. Stuff is stacked all over. We've never seen that in a COE park either. It was a good place to stay though while weather passed over and would stay again. The park area is nice but think a little more oversight is needed and a little clean-up. I would probably rate the park itself a 4 star but the clutter from the host site and lack of his availability, I moved it down a notch.

FIRST: they do not have level parking spots, I am backed all the way up to my neighbors rv and still had to run 30ft if sewer line UP HILL! 30ft is dumb just to reach my drain I can't get closer and I have spent too much money trying to make this work out. SECOND: the water presser is VERY irregular, no problem in the beginning my neighbor said buy a regulator and it will be fine, WRONG. I buy a regulator I still have my hose shooting off my trailer because of the pressure and I hardly Have the water turned on. the Water pressure broke TWO hoses now. The regulator seems To be another Waste of money. THIRD: I paid over $575 to stay here and the laundry room is "Out of Order " no laundry for 16 miles. LAST: I wanted a SAFE place To stay by you have homeless people walking through this park every day. I had some man with a cat in a paper bag screaming outside my trailer while I was trying to sleep. I don't feel safe here with all the extra traffic. If I am going to pay this price you better have level spots and proper water pressure I shouldn't have to blow my damn money trying To fix these issues daily. Fix your damn laundromat. Make this a proper Hall of Fame cause it's been a Week of hell and not worth the month I've paid for to stay here. If you talk to the locals this was always called the hall of shame and it's keeping that name in my book. Damn Rules say you must have a proper working trailer I have a 2020 and your water pressure caused leaks not to mention all the damn bugs I'm picking up living here, most parks spray their lots maybe try that and keep up a better park for people to enjoy rather that collecting pests and new leaks.

The little park is perfect for my boys, they loved jumping out of the car and playing right away after a 6 hour drive. The experience is so cute and was actually sold out when we went. They offer two types of teas, some sandwiches and sweets, and then Prosecco and Pimm's Cup if you opt for the Tea Royale ticket! The venue itself is beautiful and we were able to explore the upstairs and downstairs after we finished our tea. Would absolutely recommend for Mother's Day, a bachelorette activity, or a fun event to do with friends.

The famous Tulsa Cave House was built by Joseph Koberling Sr. and James Purzer during the 1920's…read more Originally this cave like building was designed as a restaurant with outdoor dining. This restaurant served as a front to a speakeasy at night (with possible activity involving mobsters, shady business, etc). A long time ago there were tunnels (that are long gone, as they had collapsed, according to our tour guide and owner of the home) that served as an entrance and exit point. The Fire Department actually came to check and see around the home and had found some of those collapsed tunnels and that it would lead to the back of the home and over the hill. Since then, this home was owned by a few other owners and then was left abandoned for many years until Linda Collier purchased this home in 1997 and eventually repaired and restored the home. She opened this home to the public in 2007 for tours (only $10 per person). According to Linda, the home was in such a disrepair that the realtor she was with refused to enter. But as soon as Linda stepped in, she knew she just had to purchase it. She was going to move in but said that a ghost/ apparition convinced her not to move in. So she used it as a place for her woodwork and a place to write (she still does not live in the home). During that time, locals would ring the doorbell and ask if they could take a peek inside, as they had always known about the cave house but had always wondered what laid inside. Eventually Linda decided to provide tours for locals and tourists. My husband and I came for a visit on a Thursday afternoon (we had contacted Linda earlier that day and said she would be able to give a tour at 2 pm. She was so sweet to let us come in earlier, as we had arrived a bit earlier). We sat in the living room and heard a few stories of the home and looked at the old photos that she had to share of previous owners of the home and of what this home looked like before. She also told us that her home was featured on HGTV's "Home Strange Home" show and also is in the book "Weird Oklahoma." Then she showed us around her home and explained what she had done to the walls or what she had added, etc. Upstairs, there is a fun slide that my husband went down twice (lol, he's such a kid at heart). Linda had said that she added that slide for her daughter (such a cool mom she is. I wish I had a slide in my bedroom when I was kid). It was very interesting to learn about the history that Tulsa had. Also earlier in the week, some locals at a dog event we had gone to with our little girl dog, had told us about the Tulsa Cave House (although I already had this place bookmarked before visiting Oklahoma) and that they had gone on a tour and that it was worth a visit. Our tour was about 50 minutes and thought it was at a good pace and a fun activity to do. If you are looking for something out of box and happen to be visiting Tulsa, you should consider checking out the Tulsa Cave House. It is recommended to make an appointment beforehand. Although you may get lucky to do a walk in, if Linda is home.
