This place is slightly different to most of the places in the mountains, as it is located in a valley and, is a farm and biergarten put together. The valley is full of wild flowers and other farms near by. As you descend from the Wank this is part way down and a good place to stop for a meal or drink.
I had the Wurstsalat and it was well made and portion was quite big. They also serve a really nice Weißbier and, one that I have not tried before (see my photo).
Service is nice and friendly and English is barely spoken. If you are not sure what to order, you can always point to other dishes and say Bitte and, magic usually happens ;-)
There are lots of cows and horses around here so you will hear the bells ringing in the background while you eat and it's actually quite pleasant and calming.
I would happily come back here for a stop. A great way to break up a long walk and in flat terrain which is quite rare in these parts :-) Don't be fooled by the sound of the bells as it travels great distances in the mountains and you might think you are quite close by and end up walking for an hour trying to get there ;-) read more
