Chelas is located on Lisbon's Linhas Vermelhas (red line). It is an underground station between Olivais (towards Aeroporto) and Bela Vista (towards São Sebastião). I was not paying attention and looking at other apps on my phone so I miscounted stations and got off early. Thankfully, I only spent about 10 minutes here waiting for the next train.
The station is located in the Marvila neighborhood, at the intersection of Av. Dr. Augusto de Castro and Rua Engenheiro Rodrigues de Carvalho, close to the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa.
The station has two tracks with two side platforms. The doors open on the left. The station does have a visible illuminated sign indicating how long until the next train is due to arrive.
It is handicapped accessible. There is some limited seating.
