Trains require transferring, and flying would take equally long or longer and is more expensive as well. Hence, you see many travelers travel via ALSA buses within Spain. All types of routes that you can imagine would be covered by the bus including to major locations such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Granada, etc. The Estacion Sur de Autobuses (South Station of Bus) at Madrid is decent. For those that bought ALSA bus premium tickets, you can have access to premium lounge at this location, getting free drinks and place to rest. The station at Madrid is large with many shops and restrooms. The experience here is much better than the station in Granada. ALSA bus boarding area is at the bottom of the station, so you will need to take the escalator down. Boarding starts 15 minutes in advance, so it is advised to arrive by then. Safe travel! read more
