this store is being run in a very unprofessional way. the prices have been extremely high for a long, now they have taken all the prices off everything and when you go to the till to pay you find out the price is 3x what it would be anywhere else. there have been many times I have walked away with out buy an item because the price is so ridiculously high. Stopped here today early morning for a quick Bathroom break. Well I think it will be my last as well. The Ladies washroom has graffiti all over the stall walls. The nearly overflowing uncovered garbage can in the stall was completely disgusting and unnecessary and totally avoidable. This was early morning so should be no excuse why the garbage was not taken care of prior to morning rush starting. The only thing decent was the liquid soap was not watered down like most gas stations and the fact that they had a Dyson hand dryer. Other than that, Esso please have your late night/early morning staff spruce up the washroom(s) when the store is empty/ not busy. read more

Solid. I don't know what you want from a gas station. But here's what I want 1. Gas...yup 2. Sells Stuff....this place sells the famous Mundare sausages 3. Open. We were in Mundare at 7pm on Thursday and it seems like the city just shuts down. The grocery store and most of the restaurants were closed . 4. Across from the world's largest sausage! read more

If you are driving through Mundare to get anywhere then this is the place to get gas. It is always pretty busy but they can handle a lot of people. The washrooms I would rate as pretty good. The mens is at least above average for bathroom cleanliness for a gas station. I have had better, but on the most part I have had worse. They have a huge selection of snacks, drinks, and a lot of other stuff too (automotive, videos, some groceries, etc). They have a short order kitchen too. I've only ever had the wedge fries because they are so freaking good. I'm only looking for a small snack anyways and they sure are good. This kitchen is super clean too. You can see most of it from the window and when I have peaked in it has been spic and span clean. read more

Must be new owners, don't expect the loaded up pizzas you used to get. Been going there for 25 years and they just lost a customer. They hide the pizzas in a box so you can't see them and this is what you get. Last stop there for me. You can really tell the owner is a less is more type of guy. read more

Esso - Gas Stations Near Me - Mundare, Alberta

I'm not really writing a review about the gas station even though, yes, it is a nice gas station (as far as Esso's go). But it's whats on the inside...it's like you've uncovered Narnia of homemade pizza and food. So inside this Esso is a little mom and pop owned "fast food" joint. I say "fast food" because it's pizzas, burgers, fried poutines etc only difference is if you order something fresh it takes up to 20 minutes rather than the 5 you would get from McDonalds. This food is the best and worst thing I have ever eaten. I could eat it every day but then I would be the 1 ton woman. They load their pizzas up so much you almost have to eat it with a fork and knife...warning DO NOT eat and drive (unless your eating mozza sticks or plain fries). It's become a little family tradition that we go here on our way home from camping and the owners are so friendly, they talk to you like you're apart of the family. Now from the sounds of it you're thinking I should have given this place 5 stars, from the amazing food and customer service but that would have been last year....I am giving it 3 stars because it might be under new owners or the new staff they hired could care less because the food isn't as loaded up, the people behind the counter could care less about being there, all around the service went down. The food is still good and worth a try but it's just a shame it's not what it use to be. read more

Staff are rude. There are no prices on pretty much everything, aside from the fast food. The soft serve ice cream sounds tempting but when you try to order it off the menu the staff don't understand what I'm asking for, even though its literally the only thing they offer. Definitely a language barrier. It would be nice if the staff were properly trained. Every time I visit for snacks or otherwise I end up wondering how my trip cost double what I anticipated. If you're rolling through town, avoid getting snacks here and head up the street to the grocery store. read more

Returning home from a three week truck driving job through Canada and USAi stopped in my personal vehicle as i needed air in a very low tire. I bought $100 gas coffee and some snacks. I moved to the air pump and it needed a loonie. Went back in to get a loonie clerk said no cash back, i had only 67 cents. Had to use ATM to get out $20 bill and pay $3.95 for the atm fee so my air is now up to $5 except i had only 19.35 left in my account but the machine only dispenses $20 bills. So i had to drive 150 km on a dangerously low tire. Your policies put me and others at risk. Hope youre happy? Esso fail. read more

This rating is for the kitchen staff person at the Esso in Mundare. Just stopped in today and He really puts a negative effect on the experience when the rest of the environment is so pleasant! He is rude and clearly doesn't like his job. It's disappointing when you expect at minimal a pleasant person, FYI you are in the service industry! He did ask to help me, I had to ask twice for what I wanted and there was no commentary returned in any manner expect for a disrespectful glare. read more
