Really small store, a few overpriced drinks, big selection of beef jerky, and an even bigger selection of porno mags. The pumps gave been replaced not too long ago but the outside as a whole feels dirty and looks like it is moments away from closing up. The upside...staff is pretty friendly and quick to help. The station does have about the only propane refill spot in North Langley. Bring your BBQ cylinders!

To add insult to injury they have this curb side sign that says "Diesel Here" written on it when they could do what Husky across the street does and put the actual Diesel price on it. (Husky can't afford to put Diesel on their signs either...actually they can't even afford new signs at all but at least they have curb side Diesel pricing sign) Esso is really lucky that Canada is the only country in the world where advertising all the fuel grades isn't mandated. You're open 24 hours, which is a rarity in this neck of the woods. Plus you have that really nice dude working there who likes to pet the dogs & give them treats. But now, I'm moving. Our imminent separation has given me the opportunity to really take a good hard look at your offerings. WestChev, I'm gonna level with you. All too often, you're out of the premium grades of gasoline. With no sign on the pump! Now this may not seem like a big deal to you, but my car likes the expensive crap. Most importantly (and you may want to sit down for this) your pumps are incredibly slow. It's like my car is coupling with a sloth. Pick up the speed, man, we've all got things to do! Finally, your snack selection is the pits. I may see you from time to time, you know, if I'm in the neighborhood. But for now, we're done.

We found this gas station on the island and stopped there to use the air compressor and get help. We both had a hard time trying to figure out how to use the compressor properly. My friend talked to a woman (can't remember her name) who worked at the gas station and she came out to help us. After a short time, we were able to get air into the flat tire and get on our way. Thankfully, the tire remained stable until we could get back home. My friend took her car in to a Bellingham Les Schwab and they found a large screw embedded in the tire. They repaired the tire. We were just so grateful to the kind woman who came out to help us that day. Thank you!
