I have very good teeth and have never had a problem. I moved to Okotoks and went to this office for a cleaning. I was told I needed to replace my old fillings. Not that anything was hurting or bothering me but I was told this was important to do. So I went ahead and had them replaced. I have been in terrible pain ever since. I went back to the office so they could take a look. They were great at fitting me in quickly. Dr James Stobbe told me my pain was caused from getting older (im 35) and that I need to use tooth paste for sensitive teeth. Again I have never had any tooth sensitivity or problems. Then the assistant put some cream on my gums that I was charged $80 for. That did nothing. I have now been using the recommended tooth paste and I am still living with a lot of tooth pain. I will not be going back. Will be going to someone else to see what went wrong. I would not recommend this dentist as there are many other dentist in town.

Dr. Stobbe is honest, a people pleaser and not pushy . His orthodontic work has solved my migraine problem. My immune system is much stronger after he has cured my gum infection on my wisdom teeth where I had 9 millimeter bone loss. I was always sick. Thank you, you made my life more livable and enjoyable !!

I recently broke a tooth so needed to get a crown to repair it…read more I needed to wait a bit for my insurance estimate to be approved but I went ahead and booked an appointment with Hometown Dental for a few weeks down the road, and it was perfect timing. The approval came through just a few days prior to my appointment. The office Staff of Beverly, Jericho and Lorraine were very prompt on sending away the X-rays and paperwork to the insurance company quickly. (It needed to go by snail mail as per the insurance companies request). The actual crown was done in one two hour appointment repair which included the time it took to prep the original tooth base, scanning for the crown, production of the crown and placement in my mouth. During the time that they weren't working in my mouth, I was able to relax and watch some excellent television choices. Dr. Brandon Hiang and his assistant Christine were absolutely amazing. I was so comfortable with them both. Their joyful personalities and our "one way" conversations ;) were very enjoyable. They provided the topics and I listened. There was no pain or discomfort and the new tooth felt amazing immediately after a slight touchup while I was still there. I have not to return for any reason or issues. A definite plus in my mind. I could not have asked for a better outcome and strongly recommend any of the dentists in the Hometown Office. In the past I had usually seen Dr Jamison, but as she was booked up, her recommendation to have the work done by Dr Brandon Hiang was very much appreciated. They are both skilled and terrific dentists. A five star review and treatment for sure. Thank you everyone. Kathy Waldron

Let's start with the only positive about this place: Dr…read moreDarren is a fantastic dentist and some of the hygienists are good as well. Now for the nitty gritty: Less than 48 hours after my temporary crown cracked in half and fell out of my mouth at work. I called in to see if they could fit me in on an emergency basis as they wanted me to have this temp crown in my mouth for two/three months. The receptionist was a complete jerk on the phone, placed me on hold for 10 mins and then said "ya sure come at 5:15pm". When I arrived that evening, she wouldn't even acknowledge my existence. However the temp was replaced and they agreed to order me my actual crown as sitting in a temp crown for 2-3 months is not doable. The crown was placed in a week later and I decided to take my business elsewhere as the vibe from the receptionist was really awful. Fast forward to two weeks ago when I was at my new dental office. I asked the administrator (who is lovely btw) to call Drake Landing to get copies of my recent xrays. The receptionist at Drake Landing proceeded to belittle me and telly new dental office how "horrible I was and that I was a trouble maker". She sent over what xrays they had and I ended up apologizing to my new dental office for making them call a chat to such a rude person. Super embarrassing. Anyways, I called Drake Landing to speak to the office manager about his as I had done nothing wrong and I didn't appreciate them slandering my name. I was told "the office manager only works two days, doesn't have an email address and she will call you back". This never happened. Point of the story: If you want to have a terrible customer service experience before your dental apt, if you want the office manager to never call you back or if you feel like over paying for your services....this is your place. HOWEVER, the dentist is very good.
