Kudos Hair is a small hairdresser right near the entertainment centre. Hairdressers are hard to get…read moreright, they are a very personal choice. However, the resident hairdresser at Kudos, David, is definitely a good choice. He used to work at SAX along Unley Rd until he recently opened up his own place. The interior of Kudos is very appealing. It is black and white, with minimal decorations and a red couch. Oh and the chairs. When you are having your hair washed you get to sit in chairs that give the rest of your body a massage. I didn't think there was anything better than a head massage at the hairdressers, but this is it. David always gives a good haircut. He is also amazing at dying. Once I decided my pink hair needed to be blonde. I proceeded to sit at the hairdressers for three hours until I had an amazing white blonde colour! Another lady works out of the hairdresser, doing manicures, spray tans and waxing. This means you don't even need to leave the shop to have the works!

I paid $150 to have crap quality (heavy, plastic, matte black - way too long, asked for natural, these were NOT natural looking at all), massive lashes put on. To try and get them removed was such a hassle and I wasn't offered a refund or to replace them with natural looking lashes. The lady who put them on was so surly. So rude. If she had spent 5 minutes asking me questions before the appointment just asking what I wanted none of this would have happened. She saw I was pregnant and couldn't even be bothered offering me a knee pillow. I paid $140 for lash lift and tint. Afterwards my lashes were the same colour and my lashes were as straight as when I went in. Bitterly disappointed. I did these things as a luxury for myself. Lift and tints for birthday. Extensions for pregnancy (and being pregnant means you have so little options to do nice things for yourself).

I have taken many of my girlfriends here for their birthdays, and I have been suprised a few times myself with spontaneous trips. With an inner city location, this Endota is smaller and a little noiser than others, just from sheer building size and traffic. But they have decked the place out with soothing music and equipment and try their best to make the place quiet and serene. Endota Rundle is 3 stories tall, with the reception and entry on the middle level. There is a tea/waiting room downstairs along with some treatment rooms and larger group rooms upstairs. The therapists are amazing, as expected, and they know their stuff, tailoring each treatment to suit the client. Sometimes I have had nice chats with them, or a laugh, or a silent treatment where I have almost fallen asleep. If you want something a little different, get Alex the male therapist, he is pretty cool.

There is little waiting time to get an appointment and you can usually get in within a few days. Unfortunately, they do only offer a hair service and don't do any of the extras that some salons do including nails and/or waxing. However, the staff are lovely and make the experience worthwhile. Ask for Kat or Tracey especially, they are knowledgeable and very friendly. Having said this, perhaps watch out for the apprentices, as they seemed sort of useless when I was there but am unsure whether they are still employed at the business. I decided I wanted a colour change but didn't know what sort so I had a colour consultation with one of the girls and this really helped me to understand which colours and sorts of highlights would suit my original colour and skin tone best. They also sell a range of products and hair styling tools, including GHD products.

And downstairs is a hair salon (which I haven't tried). Always make an appointment, as it is a popular place! And yes, they will recommend products for your skin, but are not overtly pushy about them. And I can highly recommend Jess, my current beauty therapist, she is very friendly and spends time looking at my skin and adjusting the treatment where needed.
