It features recipes, cooking tips, travel information, restaurant reviews, chefs, wine pairings and seasonal/holiday content. The premier event for the magazine is the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado. The Classic features wine tasting, cooking demonstrations, featured speakers, as well as a cooking competition. Held annually in June, the event is considered the kickoff to the Aspen summer season and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023. If you can afford to attend you will hobnob with the rich and famous of the food and wine set. Magazines that aren't just for the recycling bin . . . magazines that you keep around for the beauty, or for your coffee table, or to keep in your guest room to wow your guests. Things I had never heard of before, yet couldn't wait to read. Would also be a great place to find Is Casa expensive? By the everyday standard, yes. Do they carry exotic and imported magazines that you might not find elsewhere? Yes. Do they have that neighborhood vibe, where you feel like the owners are going to invest in you and get to know you? Where, if you have a special request, they will try to accommodate? Yes. Another thing people don't realize about New York is how capitalism and investment firms are ruining small businesses, attempting to wipe all of the character and grittiness from Manhattan. Casa Magazines is a well-known village magazine Mecca, most recently sold by its owner of 30 years, thankfully to what appears to be local people. I am glad they are helping keep that local flavor. I automatically felt at home upon entering Casa Magazines. The owners made sure to help me throughout my shopping spree. In fact, I got so carried away and spent so much money that they asked that I take a free pack of gum of my choice upon checkout haha. They also interacted with other patrons as if they were old friends. They knew what magazines each person was looking for and could tell them if any new volumes had arrived. I had been meaning to get to Casa for a long while, partially because I was interested and partially because in New York, you shouldn't procrastinate doing or seeing something that matters to you . . . you never know when it will suddenly be gone. I am glad I made it out here. I will gladly spend my money to keep this business alive and hopefully thriving and will definitely be back.

Two days later I received a notification saying that my subscription was canceled and I asked for a refund they gave me the steps to cancel. I followed the steps exactly . Three weeks later. I got a notification saying that I took too long to request a cancellation. The cancellation was made in time. It was all their fault in not reviewing my request in a timely manner. And then the people are so slow getting back with you. I believe They deliberately do this to charge you money. This is a fraudulent charge. I've been fighting for it to get it taken off of my account for three months without any support from anyone, do not do any business with New York Sun they will rob you blind. That's my opinion.

Real-world news has become so unhinged that in some cases The Onion's satire has predicted the future. In 2000, they ran a headline, " Man Consults Internet About Everything ". With AI, etc, it's safe to say that their satire successfully predicted the future. They also ran a satirical headline that said a chocolate company had been ordered to pay "obese Americans" a settlement of $135 Billion. A few years later Nutella was ordered to pay for misleading marketing that made people think Nutella was healthy for them. I personally get a kick out of satire...that is until it becomes reality!
