It really seems to be a place to meet friends for 'koffie en kletzen'. The downstairs area is cozy and makes you feel like you're in a private hideaway. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating as well, even in chilly weather, for those who want to enjoy the great Amsterdam outdoors and tram 10 that passes by a few feet away on the street. The service is friendly, and the coffee is good. I didn't try any of the food because it was all gluten-centric, but it looks good. This isn't as much of a breakfast place as a 'cake and coffee' place, which fits in with the chatting with friends theme.
