Convenient, cheap, and extremely friendly service. Simple menu to choose from also. Will definitely choose this over Starbucks.

It always seems like some new discovery awaits for this category here and it's always delicious. Coffee drinks remain amazing, creative and unique especially for the area that doesn't delve into the specifics that this place does. On our latest visit we had some amazing sweets that involved pistachio and once again it doesn't disappoint. So very delicious. Still five stars all of the way and I don't see that changing anytime soon!

I used to visit the Sacramento location, so it was a nice surprise seeing one nearby. My review is mainly for the desserts since I still haven't tried the coffee yet (though I'm sure it's probably great too since they're known for their Yemeni coffee). The menu seems very similar to the Sacramento location, but I'm giving 4 stars because they don't carry the one dessert I've been seriously craving: Turkish delight! The Sacramento location has it and I was definitely hoping to grab some here but I didn't see any on display or on the menu :( The milk cakes were thankfully just as good and super consistent between locations. We ordered the pistachio milk cake and the caramel milk cake (different pricing, depending on flavor probably). Both were incredibly moist, flavorful, and just really delicious. If you've never tried the milk cakes here, I definitely recommend them. They taste high quality, for sure, and a perfect treat for a sweet tooth. I had my husband try one for the first time since he likes caramel, and he immediately said it tasted so fancy he felt like he should be sticking his pinky out while eating it lol. I told him it *is* around $10 a slice, after all. We stopped by on a weekday afternoon and the parking lot was busy and the café itself was packed, so it definitely seems like a popular spot. They also have a points rewards program you can sign up for with just your phone number. I'll definitely be back for sweets again.

They make their syrups inhouse, and you can tell, even a basic caramel latte tasted like the most delicate, handcrafted drink. They have fun seasonals, they're a hit or miss obviously based on your preferences, but I love them all so far. My go to drink pairing is a cardamon and ginger latte. The inside is SO HOMEY. It's rare to find coffee shops that haven't succumbed to the hospital white aesthetic, so this is so refreshing on the head. It is the ideal shop to study in. The cups and plates are my favorite thing about this place. The cups are handmade and just so stinking cute. The baristas are so welcoming every single time I come in, they look like they just love their job and love to chat with the customers. The outside of the shop is a mint green which really throws me off because the inside is so cute. The parking situation is a little limited as well, there's a few parking spots near the shop and the rest is street parking. They have a large selection of pastries and some food but know that if you come in the afternoon there probably won't be much left, they go pretty quick. Amazing shop, it's a different aesthetic than what most shops are but it feeds that "homey" craving that I have when I want to study at a coffee shop.

The wait is a little long and I feel that is because they take their time with each cup they make. Seating is scarce so if you plan to enjoy your cup inside, do come in when they open because it fills up really quick. My only recommendation if they look into the reviews is to remove the center table and put 2 more 2 seater tables if it still allows within capacity. Never change. Your coffee is great.

The raisin and walnut bread was especially good when toasted with some butter--just as the owner recommended. It was delicious. I usually enjoy the salt bread on its own, but this time I tried the salt bread with red bean. The buttery, salty bread paired with the sweet red bean created a really nice balance. The owner always kind and welcoming. I arrived a bit late on this visit, so I didn't order coffee. But next time I'll definitely come earlier to try their new ube latte.

Instead of using syrup like most places, they blend it with real strawberry purée, and you can absolutely taste the difference. It's fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The shop has a cozy, inviting vibe, and the owner was super friendly and quick. You can tell they take pride in their drinks and ingredients. If you're a matcha lover (or just love a good strawberry moment), do yourself a favor and try their strawberry matcha. They have different desserts and sandwiches available as well which I can't wait to try soon! Coffee Kitchen just jumped to the top of my Tacoma favorites!
