Stopped by here on accident because I drove by and found the place. My brother came into town for work so I was only visiting for a little while to wish him happy birthday and figured since I found the place, we would stop by real quick for picture in front of the ESPN sign. We stopped our car, put our blinkers, and got out to take the pictures. A lady drove by, stopped and told us it was private property and we couldn't be there. I told her we were just visiting and wanted to take a picture and she repeated that we couldn't be there because it was private property. She then drove off. ESPN needs to step up their game and create a spot where it is ok for people to take a picture vice being told to get off the property. So simple to do. We finished taking our pictures and left but it definitely left a bad impression on us, someone who likes watching ESPN and only wanted to get a picture.

I have been a fan since the early days when they hooked me with their College Baseball Game Of The Week every Sunday. Now I can't believe how important they are to me for my tv viewing. If I could get a cable package that just included my local tv stations, ALL of the ESPNs, a few of the other sports channels and the Weather Channel then I would be a pretty happy camper. So many of the announcers have become like good friends. Sportscenter has become as important as the news. I can't imagine a Saturday in the fall without College Gameday to get me excited about that day's games. With the addition of streaming, I can watch college baseball games from all over the country and from conference tournaments through the College World Series I am in heaven. They have come a long way from broadcasting softball tournaments and minor college sports to being the major source for all sports, both professional and amateur and it has been a great ride. Here's to many more years of excellent sports programming.

ESPN used to be a great destination for sports news. They have gone downhill the last few years, but the racism and xenophobia that this network spews and tolerates is really upsetting. Here are a few examples: Steven A. Smith: On the program First Take, Smith goes on to spew racist and xenophobic comments about Shohei Ohtani an all star MLB baseball player that has talent we haven't seen in 100 years. First player to be selected as an All Star as a pitcher and a position player. Currently leads the league for home runs at 33. Only Babe Ruth did this 100 years ago. Background info on Shohei: In the Year of Shohei Ohtani, MLB's Stars Are Celebrating the Greatest of Them All - https://www.si.com/mlb/2021/07/13/shohei-ohtani-all-star-game-daily-cover Here is the First Take segment that aired 7.12.21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB_sZQIbUxQ Some key quotes from the video: Molly: "Is this good for Major League Baseball that Ohtani is the top attraction?" Smith: "Not to me. Even though baseball is an international sport. If you are a star, and you need an interpreter, that might have something to do with your inability to ingratiate yourself to the young demographic." Clearly this was a well thought out question and answer, it wasn't a heat of the moment response. "This brother is special, make no mistake about it. But the fact that you have a foreign player that doesn't speak English, that needs an interpreter believe it or not, I think contributes to harming the game to some degree when that's your box office appeal. It needs to be somebody like Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, those guys, and unfortunately at this moment in time, that's not the case." -Smith. So to understand this, Ohtani is a brother? But in the very next sentence, he's a foreigner and since he is not fluent in English, he harms the game of baseball? Baseball apparently needs a white man as the face of the sport right after Smith emphasized how Major League Baseball's popularity is in trouble and struggling miserably since the fan demographic is getting older right after he says the lack of diversity hurts the game. WTF? The reality is that Smith did not screw up. He did not misspeak. He's very articulate and prepares his commentary before going on the air. This was not a "heat of the moment" comment after losing a game or fight. These were well thought out comments that revealed Smith's racist and xenophobic ideas. He could have summed up his whole piece by saying: "Since Ohtani is Japanese, a foreigner, not a citizen of the US, and most importantly doesn't speak English fluently, he hurts the game of baseball. The MLB needs a white man like Bryce Harper or Mike Trout to be the face of the sport. Not some Asian guy with the name Shohei Ohtani." Lack of allies: Both the host Molly Qerim and co-commentator Max Kellerman didn't object to Smith's racism and xenophobia. Worse, Max says: "Steven A. Smith is not a racist. He's an anti-racist." Uh, ok, but his entire piece was both racist and xenophobic. So can a non racist person make multiple racist statements? This reminds me of when Yao Ming came into the league and Shaq threatened him with racist language and gestures. Phil Jackson quickly said, "Shaq is not a racist." Note that Smith's xenophobia is not limited to Asians. Hear what Smith said about the Nigerian team that beat the USA basketball team. He didn't pronounce their names and doesn't even care to get it right. https://sports.yahoo.com/nigerian-basketball-team-slams-stephen-a-smith-espn-after-butchers-names-first-take-shohei-ohtani-014632034.html Apologies after such a racist statement usually focus on several points: I was quoted out of context I am the victim I am not a racist Comments were accidental or unintentional Several people were offended, and I am sorry they were offended. (note that they are not sorry for what they said or for being racist...) I am a _______ or I have an ________ wife, so I can't be racist. This is playing the race card. Since I'm Black, I can't be racist. Since I have an Asian wife, I can't be racist. Rachel Nichols - An ESPN sportscaster was recorded having a conversation with the Adam Mendelsohn. According to The NY Times, "Nichols discussed her career on a phone call on July 13, 2020, with Adam Mendelsohn, the longtime adviser of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and James's agent, Rich Paul. Nichols was speaking with Mendelsohn to request an interview with James and his Lakers teammate Anthony Davis, whom Paul also represents. During the conversation, she also sought advice from Mendelsohn because she believed her bosses were advancing Taylor at her expense." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/04/sports/basketball/espn-rachel-nichols-maria-taylor.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-tr4X0KhIs Apology https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7T3fUMT4T8 "Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it with me and take my thing away." - Nichols Not watching ESPN anymore.

Basically this is the Mecca of sports. It's like going to the X-Men school for the gifted and the Wonka Factory at the same time. At every turn and down any corridor you can and will run into an athlete or an analyst or someone that is important to getting sports news. Being able to see the actual filming stages was mind blowing. Our guide was good but not great. But the experience was still overwhelming. Only gets 4 stars because the gift shop was closed, and due to the antics of drama queen AB84 the sports center studio was on fire because we were there as the news was unfolding. So we basically heard the news before the world... Any sports fanatic should visit Bristol,CT and for any non sports watching spouses, you should go too and enjoy the faces and pure enjoyment of being in such a historical place.

When I first moved to central CT, I was super excited when I realized how close ESPN was to me, and then I found out if you know someone who works there you can set up a tour! Now I'm not huge into watching ESPN or many sports for the matter besides football, but I had friends who were coming to visit me and they were super excited to get a tour at ESPN. The tour was pretty long and they allowed you to walk through most of the campus. It was cool to see the different sections of the business and all the different tedious jobs people do. They even allowed us to sit in the famous ESPN chairs! They allowed picture taking and everything, it was an awesome experience, thank you ESPN!

I stopped at the ESPN headquarters during my epic cross-country tour (http://KananAcrossAmerica.blogspot.com) and I was hoping there were tours available for fans. Unfortunately the guard told me that wasn't an option. I watch ESPN and listen to ESPNRadio all the time, and there are many shows I enjoy: Around The Horn, PTI, SportsCenter, College Gameday, SportsNation, The Herd, and The Scott Van Pelt Show. Their commercials are also very funny! :) Unfortunately, they happen to have a company-wide bias against my favorite teams, but rather than list the teams ESPN doesn't like, it would be easier to just list the teams ESPN does like: New England Patriots, All New York Teams, Boston Red Sox, LA Lakers, all SEC football teams, and all ACC and Big East basketball teams, LeBron James and Brett Favre. That's it! You like any other team, they'll probably not say anything positive about them, even if they are winning, like the Texas Longhorns, who they constantly lobby against, if I'm to believe ESPN, TCU and Boise State can easily beat them...

ESPN and ESPN 2 have been viewed a lot by me during my time living with my daughter. For me it's synonymous with football and other sports and particularly teams I enjoy. If you ask me what games I have watched I don't remember. My Chemo memory is not good except for things that happened a long time ago not recently! All I know is my daughter loves pre game and post game and everything sports. She's teaching me about football too. I'm in favor of the bond ESPN has created for me with her! I'm recommending you watch with someone special! read more

That didn't take long. Four months after launch the ESPN Unlimited streaming package with Disney+ is raising rates by a cool 25%. The package also includes Hulu but Hulu will soon be absorbed into Disney+. I'm glad I waited before pulling the trigger as I had a feeling that tricky Disney rodent might slip a Mickey into my streaming cocktail. Disney's greed never disappoints. read more
I used to watch ESPN religiously when I was a teenager...especially SPORTSCENTER. However, ever since Disney bought this network, they have continuously gone downhill. I miss Jon Miller and Joe Morgan calling Sunday Night Baseball. I miss Stuart Scott; may his soul rest in peace. He was the last of the real OG in sports broadcasting. He was relatable, entertaining and very watchable. I can't say the same for his colleagues now. Most of them are just talking heads regurgitating idiotic nonsense. I can't even watch a whole Sportscenter show now. In fact, I don't even remember that last time I watched one in its entirety. And talk about East Coast Bias. ESPN should stand for the following: E East Coast S Sports P Prejudiced N Network They only care and talk about East Coast sports teams. When it comes to baseball, it's all about Jankees, Red Sox, Phillies, Mets, Braves and when they mention anything about West Coast team, they only talk about the Doyers. They mostly ignored the Giants and have even ranked them lower than the Doyers the entire year even though we've been in first place the majority of the year. I hate it when the Giants are nationally televised on ESPN. Case in point, this Sunday's game against the Doyers. The baseball crew mostly talked about the Doyers, Doyers, Doyers as if they were teenage girls infatuated with them. When the Giants beat the Doyers and interviewed Brandon Crawford, it was obvious that the interviewer did not prepare in advance as he had no idea what to ask and instead asked about what he put in his hair and what he was going to eat in the clubhouse later. Are you f*cking kidding me? Cringe. Annoying. Irritating. Unprofessional. He was probably expecting the Doyers to win and couldn't adjust when the Giants threw a curveball by winning the game....again. While I'm warmed up, I'm going to continue my rant. Baseball Announcer Tony Perez sounds like he's got a phlegm stuck in his throat when he's speaking. Either that or it sounds like he's chewing on marbles. Man, clear that airway up. Who made Mel Kiper an NFL draft expert? We have to listen to his professional opinions and guesses every year and he whiffs most of the time. Well there's whiffs and then there's flat out embarrassment with his takes. Johhnny Manziel? Jimmy Clausen? Should I go on? If he was playing baseball, his batting average will be well below the Mendoza Line. Nick Wright is just a plain idiot. Another so-called expert who spews out anything that comes out of his mouth that he probably thought of while sitting on his porcelain throne in the morning. Yeah...they are sh**! Then there was Booger McFarland on Monday Night Football. Really? Booger? Just search for Booger McFarland memes on google. Then the piece-de-resistance is the most famous talking head of them all is Stephen A. Smith. I can't honestly write what I want to express about him since I might be called a racist. However, he does use that term a lot. However, he didn't think he was being a racist when he was talking about Shohei Ohtani being the face of baseball. Talk about being a hypocrite. He did make a half-ass apology the following day, but still defended his viewpoint. I could go on and on regarding a few more announcers, analysts, talking heads and so-called experts. That would take us back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back.... And as Larry Beil's catchphrase used to say, "Aloha means goodbye!" By the way. LET'S GO GIANTS!!! read more

I am not sure what happened to ESPN after Walt Disney had taken it over, but the customer support is nonexistent. I had emailed them about a forgotten password instance and they sent one support email back wanting information. I then responded to that email and I did not hear back for a while, it has been like 5 days after. Changing the way we watch sports. With the creation of this network back in the late 70's things started to change. A network airing nothing but sports 24/7 will never last, naysayers said. Now there are several channels under this umbrella. Such as ESPN 2 and ESPN U which shows a variety of college sports. Just to name a few. Do like watching or listening to Mike & Mike in the mornings before heading out to start my day. Before... Our only option to catch a out of town baseball game was the 'Game of the week ' on Saturday afternoons on another network. Some may remember that one. College football/ basketball was just the local networks and that was pretty much it. Now there are games on every single day. Over kill to some I get it. Will miss Chris( Boomer) Berman when he leaves later this year. An original member of the on air crew. Football Sundays on ESPN will never be the same. Whether it was mornings or after the games with NFL Primetime. Still the first network I look for when out of town & looking for updates of my hometown teams. read more

Unfortunately, all the bad reviews on here are true. My husband and I were on an East Coast road trip and decided to swing by the ESPN center to check it out for a few minutes. I was well aware that we weren't allowed to go on a tour unless we knew an employee that worked at the campus. When we arrived, we saw that there was a visitor lot and a welcome center, and we thought "Oh, at least we can check that out!" Lo and behold, the staff sitting at the welcome desk were rude, unprofessional, and unintelligent. (By the way, why do you need two people sitting at the front desk to do one person's job??) I asked if there were any fun facts or information he could tell us about the ESPN center, and all he responded with was "Unfortunately, we're not allowed to let you in." Uh, hellooooo, I wasn't asking to go into the campus, I was asking for information about the place! I clarified what I had asked, and he responded rudely, "Well, what do you want to know??" I mean, what do you usually tell people that walk into a WELCOME CENTER? Anyways, we left and took some pictures with the ESPN sign, and were quickly ushered off the property by security..... Tldr; If you're driving by just to be able to say "Hey, I saw the ESPN center!", I would recommend taking pictures from inside your car and promptly leaving - don't bother getting out of your car or going to the welcome center. read more

10/23/19 My husband and I decided to sign up for ESPN+ August 31st 2019. We were unable to watch the first football game of our favorite college team for the season on regular TV/cable. ESPN+ seemed like an excellent option. Offering not only the game we needed, but also other options such as UFC fights and boxing. When we looked at our sign up options, we saw we could pick between $4.99 a month or $49.99 for a year. The obvious choice on that is to sign up for the year. Let me tell you, that was a BIG mistake. We signed up for the year and proceeded to get ready to watch college football. Unfortunately we still couldn't watch it. Since the game was on a cable network, you have to sign into your provider to be able to watch. Guess what? We do not have a cable provider. I then immediately went to cancel. Unfortunately they do not make it easy to cancel. I was finally able to cancel by sending an email about an hour after we signed up. I wanted to make sure there would be no problems with cancelling, so my husband called the next day. He was told they would review everything and we would hear back from someone in 48 hours and a refund would be processed within 5-10 days. Nothing ever came. So we called again. We were given the same information. We called a total of 6 times over the course of one and a half months getting the same results every time. We continued to tell them we signed up, realized it wasn't going to work for us and we cancelled an hour later. ESPN+ also does offer a 7 day free trial, so obviously we brought that up, again since we cancelled an hour later. Today we finally got a response. They denied any refund. My husband and I are both at the point where we do not want to fight any longer. It really is just the principal. I called today when I got off work to put in an official complaint. I told the gentleman exactly how I felt. I really do not understand a business that will not follow through with what they "offer". Is this not some sort of false advertising when they offer a 7 day free trial but then won't give the money back after cancelling within one hour? They also advertise that you can watch ANY game, which is true, as long as you have cable. The gentleman on the phone informed me that they can not reverse the no refund once that has been decided, but I should go ahead and use ESPN+ since I have paid for a year. Great, thanks! We will keep this in mind for all other ESPN options, including Disney and its affiliates. With this kind of customer service, we would be hard pressed to recommend ESPN and any Disney affiliates to any family, friends, and loved ones. It is kind of sad that it came down to $50 and a 7 day free trial that was not honored. As I told the gentleman on the phone, and all business owners are aware of, a positive review will only reach so many, however a negative review will have long lasting effects that will pass on and on and on. read more

This 5-*-YELP is for ESPN's America's Cup #33 coverage (www.espn360.com) - available via the internet for the past week (February 2010). Positive and accredited commentary by Gary Jobson and Randy Smyth). Thank you ESPN! Thank you, Gary and Randy. Superb! Congratulations to the BMW/Oracle team: one and all. Thank you, Larry Ellison and all ashore and afloat! Perhaps the Cup comes back to California. read more

Half the time, after I've paid, when I login for a UFC fight, the fight doesn't come on. I have to get out of espn+ and then go back into it. A pain in the butt. read more
Okay, pretty much any 24 hour all sports channel will get at least 4 stars. It would have gotten 5 stars, but they are slipping. The good: All Sports, 24 Hours-a-Day. The bad: There's a lot here. - They have tie-ins to specific conferences for broadcasting sports, and they use their pulpit to try and get voters to lean towards those conference schools to get into bigger bowl games, which is purely shameful. - They have the worst in-studio "talent" right now in their 30+ year history. Everyone of them is trying to be the next Dan Patrick or Kenny Mayne. Stuart Scott and his brand of "street" is deplorable and annoying. - The forcing of the spanish ESPN down our throats is ridiculous, but it does give us a few premier league highlights, but that's what Fox Soccer Net is for anyway. - Chris Berman. This guy has long, long, long ago wore out his usefulness. He is such a caricature and is beyond annoying with the forced nicknames, weird sounds and repetitive nature. He's the worst thing about this network. But, like I said, this is a 24-hour all sports network, so it can't be all bad. read more
Going on the ESPN Studios tour was on of the coolest tours I have ever taken - top five to be sure. You need to be sponsored by a friend or family member who works there. It was the best. In the lobby of the tour area they have a panel permitting you to watch every Sportscenter commercial ever made. The tour takes you through the offices, control rooms, by the massive room where dozens of workers monitor events for the highlights and broadcasts, and into the Sportscenter studio-plus many other places. They even have a walkway where, at each end, is a monitor with every division 1 college and university. Touch one of the icons and that team's fight song places as you walk through. They even take you past the storage cabinet where they have helmets of every Div 1 football team and the NFL teams. The tour was a blast. read more
I love you ESPN. I have since you were on channel 3 when I was a kid. Then you grew. ESPN 2, then ESPN Classic, then ESPN Desportes, ESPN News, ESPN The Magazine, ESPN.com, ESPN Zone, even ESPN The Ocho (ok, maybe not yet). This is my default channel. They have everything from Monday Night Football to Scrabble Championships. If anything is a final match, they will show it and I will watch it. And now at work, I can follow the world wide of sports and not miss a beat. Fantasy Football, could I say more? Best station ever! read more

I loved visiting the ESPN campus in Bristol,CT! First of, tours are not open to the public and you can only get in if an Employee signs you up. I am grateful to my friend who is a producer at ESPN for arranging the tour. Though I am not really a sports fan (with the exception of Hockey!), I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the different studios and learning about the different programs. The campus is like a mini city filled with be people passionate about sports coming from all over the world to work there. I got to meet Adnan Virk, the sports reporter, who is also a fellow Canadian. I definitely recommend the tour to anyone who is able to get in! read more

ESPN+ Don't do it. Not reliable. And they won't let you cancel. When you call they just put you on hold and don't come back. The dumbest idea ever. 90$ and and it won't stream. My girlfriend has been hung up on twice. read more

As a former employee , I can say that this place is filled with a lot of ego's and some decent people. Kil-Jae Hong , Bob Ley and Chris Berman were class acts. They have a great deal of knowledge and hearts. However if you were a PA , you were treated like dirt by most of the employees. read more

What would we do without ESPN? When I was a kid, ESPN was mostly a sports news coverage channel. But over the years, they have added more and more live sporting events. Their best live sporting event? College football. They broadcast games morning to night every Saturday, and they feature many top games. It kind of reminds me of January 1st where you can start your day watching the Outback Bowl, then go to the Gator Bowl, then the Capital One Bowl, and then the Rose Bowl. Every Saturday in the fall is January 1st on ESPN. They also do a lot of live NFL, MLB, and NBA games. In terms of their news coverage, I never watch it anymore. With the Internet and smartphones, I just don't find the need to tune into SportsCenter. I do watch NFL Live (it is on my TiVo), and I never miss the NFL draft. If you are a sports fan, ESPN is pretty much a necessity. read more
What will I do with you ESPN, may be Yelp, but you're #1. The BEST Entertainment at 11:00 PM everynight and during CFB. The only channel marked FAVORITE on my remote, the only icon on the first page of my iPhone, and on top of my list on my FAVORITES web links. I'm a sports nut if you can't tell! I follow CFB, MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, Boxing, CB, Prep Sports and WSOP. The ESPN commercials are hilarious and SportCenter is the only show that I can watch over and over! ESPN is the only reason I have cable, if you were on local TV I would cancel my subricpition right away. read more

Stephen A smith (SAS for rest of this writing) was not as smart or intellectual as Max Kellerman. Max stood behind black athletes re: racism. TO was right, Max is more black than SAS. You give a black man like SAS millions of dollars in raises, he becomes UPPITY and thinks he calls the shots. I will not watch first take any longer and neither will my family/friends who agree with what I am saying. Swagu as a co host is annoying due to he mugs his facial expressions like a juvenile kid. Dan Orlovski was a terrible pro QB and is full of himself like he actually won something as a pro. Disney has screwed it up and I have also cancelled my Disney +. I am not going to keep watching SAS or any show with SAS to watch his hair turn more into George Jefferson. Molly is also getting fat and contributes nothing to the show. Charly is better looking and has a better TV presence than Molly. SAS should have a more appropriate initials. Put the first S in his name and put it after the last S. That stands for what he is. Karma is a mother, and SAS will say something stupid and racist again like he did with OHTANI and fans will not forgive or forget and hopefully ESPN will let him go and not hear from him again. read more

Was disappointed to see talking heads all across ESPN all week equivocating on the NBA-China story, calling it a "political disagreement" and making it seem like one side is totally legitimate and not a dictatorial regime using Orwell's 1984 as a playbook. It's just like Coke vs Pepsi guys, lol. If Pepsi is always watching you and sends a goon squad to beat you and harvest your organs if you say anything it doesn't like. Turned to being infuriated and a hard boycott of all programming when they started actively disseminating propaganda for the Chinese government on-air: https://www.reuters.com/article/china-basketball-nba-espn/espn-criticised-over-china-nba-coverage-for-using-nine-dash-line-map-idUSL3N26U2HE Beijing clearly has a hand directly up Disney / ESPN executive ass. Oh poor Disney and your $60 billion in annual revenue. I know baby, how can we expect you to survive without that yuan. You might have to live off a meager $50 billion a year. You would be reduced to rags and ramen noodles. Poor world-straddling multinational. ESPN: The World Leader In Licking Chinese Boot read more

I no longer will watch or listen to ESPN, as they continue to allow Dominique Foxworth to be on TV and the radio and allows him to say very racist things about white people, they are cowards to confront him about this issue, if it was a white host they would be fired immediately. I will not go back to ESPN until he is fired from ESPN He sits back and sits on his ass and says words don't mean anything inaction that count but his hypocrite ass has done no action and says only white people have to do everything. He just talks and spews racism so he needs to go, he doesn't go to protests or donate money to the cause and communities. He also said on the Dan Lebatard show that white people say stupid things, please fire him as i am taking this issue as far as I need to to get this racist off the air and fired. read more

Since ESPN was sold to a corporate interest the quality of the product (Sports Center) has gotten ridiculous. A bunch of corporate bone-heads who fabricate their worth and protect their turf trying to put their signature on the once great Sports Center, have ruined a great institution in America's sports culture. At one time ESPN was a must have when choosing cable packages. What Johnny Carson was to late night television ESPN was to sports television....and while ESPN may be the undisputed sports leader in the most the important category (advertising $) it's just a matter of time before a David Letterman (metaphor) comes along to hold those clowns accountable for the crap they are broadcasting. read more

Go woke and go broke. I've cancelled ESPN+, deleted their app on all three of my phones and don't watch their trash network anymore. Bloody disgusting. I want sports that doesn't tailor to woke idiots and bring politics into any sector of sports. Joke of a network. ABC is too and Disney is gonna bankrupt when DeSantis shuts down DisneyWorld. read more

Why do you block espn.com videos from Puerto Rico viewers? Puerto Rico is a US Territory with Commonwealth Status. We have been part of the US since 1898. We are all US Citizens. If we are good to have our men and women in the US Military fighting for the US then I think we deserve to see videos at espn.com. read more
