So if you're looking to be a nurse or CNA at this facility.. DO NOT. The current administration will force you to jeopardize your license for their bottom dollar. They enforce an unsafe work ratio and do not, in their own words, care about whether we stay or go. The nursing staff and disposable and undervalued. I had to quit before I compromised my license or got fired for not being in six places at once. Bottom line: veterans, welcome. I am a veteran and would love the care they receive. Nurses, steer clear of this facility. Just don't.

The staff( from custodial, maintenance, activities, kitchen, nursing to administrative) has demonstrated a genuine concern for his medical(24/7 nursing access) and physical (meals, laundry, personal hygiene, a clean room) needs. The three meals per day he has thoroughly enjoyed, as he has put on fifteen pounds in his three months there ( served at his bedside instead of the spacious community dining room; he has been spoiled.) Our sister-in-law(Eloise G. -a nurse of 45yrs., retired) after visiting commended the facility and personnel for their cleanliness, lack of odors and professionalism-their caring attitude was exemplary. Elmcroft is a very adequate assisted-living facility for people who need just a little help to get…read morealong. The home is clean and in good repair, and there are plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied. Unfortunately, Elmcroft's memory care (Alzheimer's) unit leaves much to be desired. The staff does administer medications, but they have no capability to actually manage dementia care. Family members are required to arrange all medical treatment. Elmcroft can handle Alzheimer's patients who have been drugged into oblivion, but they are either unwilling or unable to deal with patients who suffer from dementia with behavioral disturbance. We had a loved one who spent just five days at Elmcroft before they gave up on him and kicked him out. Of course, they kept the money we had given them. Elmcroft is one of the less expensive options for Alzheimer's/memory-care living. But you definitely get what you pay for. If you're looking around for a place for a family member, I suggest you look elsewhere.

I explained to this attendent details about my husband's serious heart condition. He ignored me. At supper my husband was taken into the cafeteria where he got sick, He was taken to his room. He was very cold and blankets were put on him. He refused to take any of his medicine. A doctor for the facility was not called. When I asked the male attendant why a doctor was not called after I had given this attendant detailed information about the seriousness of my husband's heart condition. The attendant replied, "He had me." My husband went into cardiac arrest. The EMTs were called and tried to revive him for awhile, but my husband died. In my opinion, this is gross negligence on the part of this attendant at Rosewood. I am grateful for the kindness and help I received from the women who worked at Rosewood. One helped me find a funeral home. For this I am thankful. However, I can not recommend this facility to anyone.

She likes almost everything they serve her to eat, and Lisa Marie makes sure there's plenty of activities to keep her occupied. My mother is 98 years old, but still very social and has so much to look forward to. She does not just stay in her room. She joins in on activities and looks forward to her days. I also appreciate how thoughtful the aides can be with her. They showed her attention and care, and all of it is so important to me.

No staff was there to greet her or give her any guidance out her stay. She wound up having to urinate while lying in her bed and there for two hours until someone finally came in. During the week she was there she was unable to take a shower as her bathroom had no hot water. Several times her meals never showed up so she had to continually ask for food. When it came, it was cold. It was obvious it had been sitting for quite awhile. during the week she was there, she was given physical therapy only twice for thirty minutes each. The staff was all very unfriendly and apathetic. Unfortunately, I don't have one good thing to say about this institution. My friend left AMA...against medical advice...though not one person advised her that she should stay. and, if they did, why would she?
