I don't think there is enough space to write how great I think Dr. Ray is. Dr. Ray is one of the…read morebest dentists I've seen. She only has one other dentist for competition, and that is my childhood dentist, who was just as good. Growing up, I thought all dentists were good with patients, knowledgeable and did their best to make you comfortable. After learning this was not the case, finding someone like Dr. Ray is just awesome. I've been seeing her for close to five years now, both at the CSU clinic and her private practice, and I received the same excellent care. She is also very good at what she does- she often does her own cleanings, is thorough and although I don't want to admit my cavity history, awesome at fillings. I had a previous dentist not give me enough Novocaine, causing some anxiety during this process. She was very understanding and kind and worked with me to make sure I was okay during the entire process. To give you an idea of how much I like her as a dentist, I live in Denver and drive 60 miles to see her. Last year, I attempted another dentist due to some unfortunate dental insurance and he tried to replace a lot of stuff that wasn't needed. Dr. Ray is honest about what you need, and will work with you on your schedule and payments. I HIGHLY recommend her as your dentist if you are in the Fort Collins area or surrounding areas, or if you are a die-hard fan, drive up from Denver.

I made an appointment with the front desk (after having already called once to ask about insurance…read moredetails) and mentioned that I needed both a cleaning and one of my teeth looked at. She said, Ok no problem! we can put you in for later this week. I was surprised that they would take me in so early but I didn't question it. Came in and they look at my tooth, then say ok nothing is wrong with it, see you later. What about my cleaning? Oh we thought you just wanted an emergency appointment... So, if you make an appointment here make sure you make it clear what you want to have done and double check to confirm with the front desk before you make the time to actually come in!!

Then later in the week, my husband had his appointment and they tried to sell him the same toothpaste. Even after he told them that I had just bought a tube, they said to buy another one.) We were actually going to look for a new dentist in town, but I got a reminder email that my next cleaning was due. So I thought I'd give Front Range Dental Center one more try - AND I made sure to ask for Dr. Radtke (I had seen Dr. Kollard during my 1st appointment, didn't LOVE her, and thought I should try another doctor in the practice). I had my appointment this morning, and this time, I have no complaints! My hygienist, Kim, was very friendly and made sure to look through my records as she was starting to do my check-up. And Dr. Radtke was also very friendly and knowledgable about some concerns she had with my gums. This time, no one tried to sell me anything!

She is very careful to make sure that her work is both aesthetically and functionally superb. She explains the reasons behind her recommendations. In all cases, she was friendly and professional and treated me like a friend. I trust her judgement and respect her professionalism.

After a disastrous LAST visit with Harbor Dental and the painful Dr. Murphy, I pretty much picked a…read morename off the internet for a periodontist. Dr. Rex Livingston was the guy I picked. In short order he did two "endosteal" dental implants for me. Boy, did I pick well! I had two teeth that needed replacing because I woke up one morning grinding my teeth so hard I KILLED two of them. This grinding is known as bruxism. In spite of having 15 crowns and a number of implants at this time, this was a new phrase to me. The process includes surgically inserting titanium screws into the jawbone. Does that sound solid? You bet it is!! He made the procedure seem simple, and did a great job. When I was able to have teeth attached to the endosteal implants, he recommended Dr. Cory Foster, DDS, who got me in as quickly as he could. Dr. Foster does things a little differently from my last dentist. Instead of making the new teeth in his office, he takes an impression and has a lab in Longmont make them for him. That is all they do, and they are about as good at the job as they can be! I say that because my teeth are PERFECT! Seriously, they could be my old teeth, except, of course, they aren't broken. You've heard the phrase "when one door closes another one opens"? Well, that's true in this case. I am SO happy to have not only a new periodontist, but a new dentist that I can count on to do the job right, and not leave me with months of pain, as "Dr" Murphy did. Dr. Livingston and Foster are both perfectionists, and work to exacting tolerances, which is exactly what this profession calls for. I appreciate the expertise and knowledge they both have, and am happy to show that appreciation for the rest of my life!

After disastrous results and a scummy office with Alpine Dental, I tried Dr. Foster. Their office…read moreis very sanitary, but nothing fancy. They only take a few kinds of dental insurance, but their prices are reasonable. The hygienists I have had so far have done a great job, they are educators as well and as a result I have gone from 3 x per year cleaning to 2 with no dental intervention needed. Dr. Foster comes in after each cleaning and checks, he is quick, efficient and kind. I would mention I have had nothing but the cleanings, but so far I am very satisfied and have trust in this office.
