The food was so good and the service was pretty fast. If you're in the Marlow area I highly recommend. It's family owned so it's like somewhat authentic it was really Mexican. There wasn't really authentic, there was no music but that's okay.Very much recommended 9.3/10. read more

Best Mexican food around. If you're in Marlow Oklahoma it's a must visit! The service is great and it nice and clean. Can't beat it !

I always see this restaurant as we drive through Marlow. I've always wanted to stop, but it's always been either early morning or after hours. However I was driving through at lunchtime the other day and saw the parking lot full of work trucks. I had a feeling it was probably going to be pretty good. Thankfully I was not disappointed. The restaurant is clean and decorated very festively. They have a nice little buffet for lunch. I don't know if this is a all day buffet or just a lunchtime occurrence. I tried the buffet and it was very good. Quite a few selections for such a small town in Oklahoma. Everything seemed very authentic and everything tasted great. The staff was very helpful. read more

Had dinner at Esperanza's for the first time last night. Staff were attentive when we arrived, but after that, we had to get their attention and ask for refills, chips, and parts of our order we didn't get. My order, when received, was not as described on the menu. Wife had fajitas and said they were ok. Very expensive for what you get. read more

Well this is a small town in Oklahoma that I knew wasnt gonna have alot of options but when you pass a place and there is a full lot of different work trucks you know this is it. Let's all imagine what a stereo typical construction mans figure is. As I park out comes a young man in cowboy hat and Carhartt jacket to his horse trailer with horses in it and he tips his hat in conversation to folks inside saying see y'all next time. Oh hell yes I want some. Overwhelmed and in need of my fix I am unable to decide so I ask Luis the nice man who greeted me to suggest. He was unsure at first but as I muttered Spanish to him he realized this gabacho is hip to it. I made it safe when I asked if the had chili Verde and he said yes in chicken beef and pork. Huh.... Anyways we all know people don't crowd a shitty place and my stop was a smart one . I'm not saying Mexican food in Oklahoma isn't good but I am saying that esperanzas is the best I've had yet. Thanks Luis for being cool and bringing it out to my car as I did emails.He took the time to bag up chips ,salsa, chili,and queso cheese. The food is always fresh and tasty! I have never ordered anything bad. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and if high quality because it is not just soaked in grease like many of the Mexican restaurants around here. We enjoy dining in and carry out. This place is a bit old and outdated on the inside. Some of the booths are torn and need repair. It's a family run restaurant and the service is okay. Sometimes better than others depending on how busy they are. The food is what I would call an Oklahoma version of Tex/Mex. I always order the spinach enchiladas. For the location this place is pretty decent, especially if you know what to order. Southern Oklahoma has absolutely garbage food especially chickasha up the hiway a bit.. Duncan/Marlow is a bit better, but even the fast food options are not up to standards in the area. This Tex/MeX place has a huge menu and many of the items are better to order than your run of the mill ground beef enchiladas and tacos. I suggest you branch out here. Mexican food is supposed to have shredded meat in my opinion, but I get it.. the locals in this area are simple (and hateful). These guys here were great tho! Better than average, however the salsa and queso was bland, and the beans were runny, but with adding my rice to it I thought they tasted good. All in all I would be back, better than most options within a 15 mile radius. Obviously in OKC, or Down in Texas the options would be better, I rated them according to other options in the area.. would have given five stars had the salsa, queso, and rice not been bland. Remember to try new menu items folks! The gamble sometimes pays off! read more

My family and I have dined at this restaurant for over 10 years. I first was introduced when we would visit from California several times a year. Now I am from Southern California so I am kind of picky on my authentic Mexican cuisine :) Overall I really enjoy the carne asada tacos, you get three per plate...meat is seasoned and grilled perfectly topped with your cilantro and onions and chile sauce if you like, oh and I always ask for fresh avocado on top, YUM. Also the beer selection is limited but you can have it served in a chilled giant glass with lime and salt on the rim....I mean I can just taste it right now as I am typing! So refreshing. Chips and salsa are good, pretty standard and it comes with queso. We usually get the sopapilla for desert with butter and honey...they taste homemade to me. Overall I just love this place its a smaller restaurant with a casual small town homey vibe.....basically when we lived there they new my name :0) read more

Excellent Mexican food! I've traveled all over the place and generally the best TexMex is in Texas. But, this place makes outstanding entrees- tasty and fresh! My favorite is the Chicken poblano. You will not be disappointed at Esperanza's! read more

Great service,great food, and great staff. I enjoy their quesadilla.with a side of rice and pico.oh and the salsa. I could eat that all day. I definitely recommend this place if your passing through. Because there is not a whole lot here in Marlow. read more
