So far so good. From setting up the appointment to check in, everyone here has been great to deal…read morewith. While waiting for Keeley to be seen, I've listened to the ladies answer the phones with pleasant voices and patience in answering questions. What I find really cool, though, is that they are calling pet parents who have appointments later today to let them know about openings and seeing if they would like an earlier time. I don't recall any other vet office that I've been to doing that. Maybe they did and I was just never lucky enough to get the call...I don't know. I think it's great customer service, and great customer service is what keeps clients happy. We were called back about 15 minutes after the appointment time, which is not too bad. I really liked the vet. She was friendly, informative, and exuded a love for animals. She not only gave me tips on training, she actually started working with Keeley. I'm glad I chose Access.

I had made appointments for their annual vaccines and checkup. Since I made the appointment on the same day, I had to pay a fee to hold that appointment. I was also given sedatives for one of my dogs who has really bad anxiety, and they require that she takes it before being seen. On the day of my appointments, I took my first dog in, paid hundreds of dollars as usual for his shots and his appointment. And then when it came time for the second appointment, I had gotten my times mixed up. I thought it was at 3:30 p.m., when really it was 3 p.m. My phone rang, and the vet was calling me at 3:08 p.m. to ask if I was still coming. I had acknowledged that I made a mistake and told them that I thought it was at 3:30. I asked if I could just come in right away, I would head there right then and there to get my dog seen. I was put on a hold and the receptionist came back and said she spoke with the tech and the answer was no. I explained to her that I was desperate and it created a huge problem for me because as a doodle owner, many people probably can relate to the fact that grooming appointments are a necessity with doodles. It isn't optional. And I had a grooming appointment for my doodle coming up within the next week and a half. And if she does not have her shots, they'll refuse her. And I explained my dilemma to the receptionist and all she did was continually remind me that my appointment was at three o'clock, which I had already acknowledged I made that mistake, but I was pleading with them to help me out. She then told me she would check the calendar at both the Jeff and New Albany locations for anything available before that grooming date. But unfortunately, she told me there was nothing available until weeks later. I asked her if she could please make an accommodation for me, that I'd been going there for quite some time, and that I'd already given my dog sedatives that she was feeling the effects from. And ultimately, all the receptionist did was she continued to remind me that my appointment was at 3, and that she unable to help me out in any way. Also she said I would more than likely lose my fee I paid to hold the appointments. This is upsetting considering you go to a place like Access where you commit to spending hundreds of dollars on a regular basis, and that the fact that she called me to ask me if I was on my way, because I guarantee if I would have said, yes, I'm on my way, she probably would have let me continue to go there and be seen. Otherwise, why else would she have called me to ask? But because I said I would leave my house right then and there, for some reason that changed things, and she said no, and then on top of that, was unwilling to make any kind of compromise for me. I feel like this is poor treatment of customers that spend a lot of money at their office. I was treated in a cold, harsh manner of constantly being reminded that I made a mistake, which I had already admitted to, but she was unwilling to move past that and work with me. I will no longer be returning to this office, and I will definitely not refer this vet office to any of my friends or family.

When I went in the exam room, the Dr was standing at a table in the corner & reading. He was fully engaged & ignored me a bit. We finally started talking & the entire time he read. During the exam, he stayed at that table reading. I was telling him my dog had a cough that got worse & it sounded serious. I wanted a hw test bc it sounded like it could be her heart or lungs. I was also there for vaccines (my entry paperwork confirms all of this). He didn't come to the table to look at my dog, didn't touch her, no poking, no pinching. Never asked for a fecal. They didn't have her former vet records at the ofc either. He ignored me mostly as I talked bc he was engaged & seemed agitated with whatever he was reading. At one point I said, "I'll just keep talking & you just keep ignoring me." He ignored that too. He came to the table & checked her heart. He said she has a slight heart murmur, but what is concerning is her breathing is a bit labored (not sure the exact words he used). Then he took her to have blood drawn. He told me the cough was her trachea collapsing & there is nothing that can be done. He said he didn't feel it was an emergency. He never heard her cough, no xrays, no EKG, no tests. He said labs would be back in 24-48 hrs. I called & checked daily & FINALLY on the 5th day he called & said he didn't get enough blood for any results. He offered to re-draw blood at no charge but we didn't go back bc he doesn't know how much blood to draw so why have him do again what he doesn't know how to do. He didn't give her vaccines like I also wanted. 3 months later she DIED bc it was actually her HEART. Two of the ER vets told me her trachea was, "perfectly fine!" Exact words from one vet. I believed this dr, when he said "trachea & nothing can be done. So she suffered w/no meds & died.

I thought she needed immediate attention because I thought she had a UTI, if I had known she didn't need immediate attention, I would of crated her and took her to the vet the next day, I also didn't have the funds at the moment, but everyone has to work to get those funds! They came and got the Yorkie and now are telling me I have to apply to get her back! The whole time I talked to the lady at the shelter, she assured me I would get her back if she wasn't chipped or claimed. First come first served. I am the first one to want that baby girl! I guess someone has a family member who wants her! Do not trust these people. If You find an abandoned animal, you take it to get scanned for a chip and post on Facebook about it. Do not turn them over to these people! I will never trust them again! Shame on the A holes working down there!

We had an emergency last week where he was choking on some food, me being a helicopter mom freaked out after a solid ten mins of hacking and choking. We drove down the street quickly to Urban Village, the women was SO SWEET and came running out to check him as soon as pulled up. She acted as if it were her own pup and that's the care I love to see! He ended up being fine and did not have to be seen. We booked his gland express apt for here two weeks later simply because the customer service was great and they seem very attentive to care. Took him today & we were in and out within 15 mins! Rawling wasn't scared and was a happy boy when he came back outside. We will definitely be back!

The space itself and really cute and clean - I've never been to a vet clinic that was so design-y and pretty! When I brought my cat in for an initial visit (to have a bump looked at on her side), I was even offered water or coffee while I waited! I don't know about you, but that's never been the case at other vet clinics I've visited. The vet tech was very helpful and efficient. They used a laptop to get my information in the system, so I didn't have to sit there and fill out a bunch of paperwork, which was nice. Dr. Fruit was kind and attentive to my cat. I've had experiences with vets before where they kind of brush off your concerns, but that was definitely not the case with Dr. Fruit - she was great. We decided to go ahead with surgery to remove the bump, which I was nervous about because I've never had a pet need surgery before. But they answered all my questions and made me feel better about it. Dr. Rudwell actually did the surgery on my cat and she gave me the debrief after the surgery. I know vets always say to call with questions or concerns, but I really do feel comfortable calling them or sending them a picture of the stitches if I need to. Anyway, if you're like me and you're doing research to find the right vet for your pet, definitely add Urban Village to your list!
