Everyone that works here has such a deep and compassionate love for animals and what they do. If you're seeking a veterinary hospital that goes above and beyond by offering exceptional boarding and grooming services, look no further. As someone with four dogs, we have been to Eastside for more visits than I care to share, especially with our two accident prone pups. However, my heart always settles when we get in the lobby because I know we're in the right place for them, and the doctors are some true professionals who come to work every day ready to deliver compassion, empathy, and a heck of a lot of knowledge in every case. Whether our visit is for a check-up, emergency, or surgery, this team has been top-notch every time. We have also used Eastside for our boarding and dog bathing needs, and they've always come home looking like fresh happy campers with adorable bandanas. The peace of mind that I get from having my dogs board somewhere with medically trained staff so close is unbelievable and worth the money. The staff has sent us pictures, called or texted with updates when we were missing our little family, and let us know when one of our pickier dogs wasn't eating her food and offered solutions. While we do just take part in the baths which is run through the kennel staff, Eastside also offers grooming services. So, whether you need a safe and nurturing place for your pet during your absence or desire professional grooming services, you can trust this veterinary hospital to exceed your expectations. In summary, this veterinary hospital offering boarding and grooming services is a true gem for pet owners seeking the utmost care and pampering for their furry companions.

We had an emergency last week where he was choking on some food, me being a helicopter mom freaked out after a solid ten mins of hacking and choking. We drove down the street quickly to Urban Village, the women was SO SWEET and came running out to check him as soon as pulled up. She acted as if it were her own pup and that's the care I love to see! He ended up being fine and did not have to be seen. We booked his gland express apt for here two weeks later simply because the customer service was great and they seem very attentive to care. Took him today & we were in and out within 15 mins! Rawling wasn't scared and was a happy boy when he came back outside. We will definitely be back!

The space itself and really cute and clean - I've never been to a vet clinic that was so design-y and pretty! When I brought my cat in for an initial visit (to have a bump looked at on her side), I was even offered water or coffee while I waited! I don't know about you, but that's never been the case at other vet clinics I've visited. The vet tech was very helpful and efficient. They used a laptop to get my information in the system, so I didn't have to sit there and fill out a bunch of paperwork, which was nice. Dr. Fruit was kind and attentive to my cat. I've had experiences with vets before where they kind of brush off your concerns, but that was definitely not the case with Dr. Fruit - she was great. We decided to go ahead with surgery to remove the bump, which I was nervous about because I've never had a pet need surgery before. But they answered all my questions and made me feel better about it. Dr. Rudwell actually did the surgery on my cat and she gave me the debrief after the surgery. I know vets always say to call with questions or concerns, but I really do feel comfortable calling them or sending them a picture of the stitches if I need to. Anyway, if you're like me and you're doing research to find the right vet for your pet, definitely add Urban Village to your list!

When I went in the exam room, the Dr was standing at a table in the corner & reading. He was fully engaged & ignored me a bit. We finally started talking & the entire time he read. During the exam, he stayed at that table reading. I was telling him my dog had a cough that got worse & it sounded serious. I wanted a hw test bc it sounded like it could be her heart or lungs. I was also there for vaccines (my entry paperwork confirms all of this). He didn't come to the table to look at my dog, didn't touch her, no poking, no pinching. Never asked for a fecal. They didn't have her former vet records at the ofc either. He ignored me mostly as I talked bc he was engaged & seemed agitated with whatever he was reading. At one point I said, "I'll just keep talking & you just keep ignoring me." He ignored that too. He came to the table & checked her heart. He said she has a slight heart murmur, but what is concerning is her breathing is a bit labored (not sure the exact words he used). Then he took her to have blood drawn. He told me the cough was her trachea collapsing & there is nothing that can be done. He said he didn't feel it was an emergency. He never heard her cough, no xrays, no EKG, no tests. He said labs would be back in 24-48 hrs. I called & checked daily & FINALLY on the 5th day he called & said he didn't get enough blood for any results. He offered to re-draw blood at no charge but we didn't go back bc he doesn't know how much blood to draw so why have him do again what he doesn't know how to do. He didn't give her vaccines like I also wanted. 3 months later she DIED bc it was actually her HEART. Two of the ER vets told me her trachea was, "perfectly fine!" Exact words from one vet. I believed this dr, when he said "trachea & nothing can be done. So she suffered w/no meds & died.
