Great experience! I was able to get in super quick with Maddie for a partial highlight. I've been getting my hair highlighted for many years and this was by far the BEST. My highlights look completely natural! No chunks, no weird placement....just perfection! She also textured my hair to remove some of the weight. I have super thick hair and ALOT of it. I no longer have a lions mane. I will def be returning for additional services. read more

I was being polite when I left this review. But now I'm keeping it at 100. Owner claims to sweep the floors, since when are insects swept away from existence? That's what exterminators are for. When you offered me something to drink, I declined. Why? Same reason, u think I want to drink anything when you have bugs in your salon? Also, you were the first to open the door in the morning, yet YOU clearly stepped over the bugs. I walked in right after you. Secondly, I offered a picture to Jackie of how I wanted my haircut. A haircut I've planned for 8 months. When she asked if I liked it, I clearly responded NO. I wanted it cut at more of an angle. Did she offer to fix it? Absolutely not. No problem, then I proceed to buy $100.00 worth of products. Only to find dead baby roaches under the lid. A tight lid at that. Did I use them? Nope. Then you have the audacity to state I must have roaches. Yeah, probably the ones I brought home with me from your salon. Your products went straight to the trash. I told you I used them cause I was being POLITE. You on the other hand were very rude when I called to let you know of your roach problem. You claim to care so much about your salon and customers and that somehow I'm the liability? Is this why you were VAPING the entire time you sat at the register while hiding your vape below the cash register as if 'we' the customers didn't notice you sitting there under a cloud of smoke? How lovely to be blown smoke at during checkout. The care you have is outstanding, NOT. The American Heart Association states that: "There is evidence to suggest that e-cigarette use is associated with respiratory conditions and cardiovascular diseases,". "As more evidence becomes available, we may see that this association is causal, both for e-cigarette use and for exposure to secondhand vapor." YOU owe it to your customers to offer a clean, safe, healthy environment when entering an establishment for which we are paying for services. Is it me? Nah, it's you. Also, Jackie kept apologizing at how awful she was dressed and laughed that she literally had just rolled out of bed to come to work. Completely unprofessional and so was the way she was dressed. You're right! An apology from you... that's the least of your problem's. read more

Esoterica has very good customer service. They really care that you are satisfied with their services. I left unhappy last time, and made the mistake of not saying anything. They had also forgotten to give me the deep conditioning treatment that was included on the group on because it wasn't booked correctly. They offered for me to come back to get the treatment and blow out with a hot tool (usually $10 upcharge). I returned for an appointment with Mercy. She was courteous, asked me if I wanted a drink (wine, beer, water), and checked with me about water temperature, pressure for the head massage, etc. She was also good at keeping the conversation going. These are all nice things, but what really made me impressed was how good my hair looked with just a blowout with a round brush. A world of difference from my first visit. Then with the use of a curling iron, my hair looked amazing! See my picture for reference (the one without the penguin). Esoterica has a deal for 4 blowouts at $89, which is pretty good. I recommend spending the extra $10 to use a hot tool for extra volume. I highly recommend getting a blowout with Mercy. She's very good with a round brush and making your hairstyle the way you want it. read more

SUMMARY: Overpriced and inexperienced staff who are just starting out. Not recommended for men's styling. STYLISTS: They're all very young (mid twenties) and seem to focus mostly on color. Stylist One performed a Keratin treatment ($60) which did not take at all. Stylist Two was asked for a regular haircut ($50) with emphasis on a tapered fade. There was No taper and now I have to wait for it to grow out in order for my regular stylist to correct it. COMPARISON: Came here looking for something better than the hassle of Floyd's 99 shop and got results on par with Supercuts. I literally booked a flight and am flying back to Costa Mesa, CA in two weeks to get this corrected from an experienced stylist who charges half of what this place does. I'm fortunate enough to be able to do that, but not everyone is - so gents, save your money and do Not come here. read more

I went about a week ago and I went for hair color and a hair cut. I asked for purple in the front of my hair (the whole front bangs part) and I wanted the rest of my hair a purple tint. Although I do have some purple in my hair in the front it's not as much as I would have wanted. And the rest of my has absolutely no tint my hair is fully black (my natural hair color). I basically paid $250 for a cut and a couple of streaks of purple in the front :( very very dissatisfied I could have done this a. Customer service I did not have any issues which is why I am giving 3 stars. Updating because the purple that I did have is now gone and it looks brown & like I only have bleach in my hair. And it has only been about week and 3 days. Sad that I have to spend more money to get my hair fixed :/ I do not recommend this place. read more

Very upset with the results of my granddaughters hair color. Nothing like the picture Cara was shown. Katy had done her hair previously and it was awesome so she showed that picture for the color. It turned out a very bright bluish purple. I complained and told we'd have to wait for someone to try to fix it. Mercy did the best she could to tone it down. To top things off, we were there 5 1/2 hrs and still had to pay for this fiasco. We left with lighter purple hair but still not what we expected. I've been going here about a 1-1/2 yrs and Katy was out and not able to do our hair. My hair turned out ok with Christy but my granddaughter is nervous about being made fun off at school. She's a freshman and kids can be brutal. Her Mom was nice about what it looks like, but she can't believe they charged us. May have to find another salon since management doesn't stand behind the customer read more

Esoterica is the only place I've gotten my hair done for 15 years and they have always done a wonderful job, I get a women's cut and color every couple months and the stylists are always teaching each other and helping out. My stylist was the absolute best! I followed Mercy on Instagram and knew she did wonderful work. I messaged her on a whim for an appointment the next day. She not only did great a consult, but she listened to my needs and worries. She stayed well over after salon after hours to complete my hair and she didn't seem bothered once. I am amazed at the attention to detail, and it is worth every penny. Thank you so much Mercy, and I will for sure be back! read more

I took my daughter in law for a cut and she got exactly what she wanted! She loved her cut! Shawntana is the best! She knew how to cut thick curly hair and the best thing is she really worked hard to make sure she knew what cut my daughter in law wanted! Seriously you need CHEYENNE in your life. I'm a natural red head and haven't had any bit of color in my hair for 3 years . I decided to do fade to blonde and a cut. I was nervous about how my hair would take color the look, etc. I showed her a few Pinterest photos of what I liked and pretty much left the rest up to her. She is amazing. You feel very welcome in this salon, everyone was so nice. Cheyenne gave me the perfect cut and color. I'm in love with it . You will not be disappointed and I guarantee you will be hooked ;) I have never had my hair lay as good as it does, I know I sound like a broken record but it's ah-mazing!!! I was in terrible need of a correction from an appointment gone bad elsewhere.. I called and made an appointment with Red. She knew exactly what to do and took charge, made me at home and grabbed me a glass of wine. She saved my hair & confidence with a cute bob and corrected the very warm color I came in with. She gave me a good game plan on maintaining everything we had done that day. Will absolutely be back! read more

Found Esoterica Studios on the Yelp project and their response was quick. I needed a haircut for my son immediately and they were able to work around our schedule. Maddie also gave us very good tips on how to style his hair. read more

I had a good experience here. I did have to come back and the owner fixed my hair cut. I have short hair and paid a lot for the keratin which I wasn't happy with as I saw it did nothing for my hair so I wasn't happy with that. Because they were great about fixing my hair I am not too unhappy. The Owner really knows how to do hair. Cost was extreme for me and I wasn't 100% happy with it so I wouldn't come back. But that's not to say that with long hair and hair coloring this might be he place for you. Thanks for fixing the hair cut. Prices were too higher for he keratin, I was very disappointed but they didn't refund or compensate back. I was told it would be better than the flatting hair products I get and it didn't do anything. I still had puffy inflated hair. $$$ read more

This salon has treated me with beyond kindness. Through the pandemic I was aware that being seen by someone to transform my hair would be hard to come by. Luckily, Jacky ( my amazing Stylist) was able to get me in on Friday as her last client. She performed a Keritain treatment, extension removal, hair color, extension color, extension placement, and hair cut. Obviously this took so much effort and her positive fun attitude made my experience so worth while. Not to mention the result. I love my hair, and would recommend anyone to come to this salon. The salon team was helpful to Jacky and I without hesitation. I see this salon going very far in the future due to amazing customer service and pure skill. Thank you for everything! read more

I just had the most wonderful expierence with Mercy today! I'm new to the area & went to a hair stylist a few days prior where I had my hair totally butchered. Then I did some research & walked into Esoterica where Mercy immediately did a consultation. She seemed confident she could fix me up so I scheduled a color correction with her. She got me in quickly, and did an amazing job! She went through each step with me and what we were going to do next, which was comforting to me after the horrible expierence I had a few days ago, elsewhere. I highly recommend her! Thank you again for working a miracle! read more

I've been going to Esoterica (Fort Worth) for years now, and I've never been disappointed. Mercy is hands down the best person to ever touch my hair. Before her I was lost. She has always listened to my #hairgoals and made it happen. She is amazing at color and is always getting more education to improve her technique to be the best she can be, which I respect. Over the years we have done so many fun colors but recently she has gotten my stubborn Latina black hair to nearly white blonde which I never thought was possible without damaging my hair. But it is! Mercy made sure to make steps to get me to my light hair goal without compromising my hair and made me look like a bad bitch every step of the way. I've never been disappointed and I am so thankful for her. I would not trust anyone else to touch my hair... unless they were a hot dude and trying to lull me into a deep restorative sleep. If you are itching for a fun vivid color or just to look fancy for your own damn self go see MERCY! read more

I was a first-time client today at the salon. I arrived at opening and the owner and my stylist made me feel very welcome from the moment I walked through the door. I did have a short wait of about 15 minutes, but that is only because the original stylist I was scheduled with could not make it in for my appointment. Baylee decided to take care of me with no hesitation and she was available. It was very comforting to know that they cared enough to still make me feel special and to take care of my requests under the circumstances. Ale even jumped in when necessary when the time came for Baylee's other clients to have their appointments with her. I never once felt like I was put to the side are not as important as the other clients. That really meant so much to me. They went beyond my expectation and match the hair color that I wanted and the cut and style. I was a little nervous because I'm used to using certain products at other salons......but let me tell you my hair feels so wonderful and looks absolutely amazing! I'm starting to think that I will forever be a client with Esoterica salon. My wedding day is coming up in a little over a month and I can't imagine anyone else transforming my hair for my special day. I snagged an appointment with Mercy when I was visiting my family for Christmas and if I still lived in Texas, I would be going to Esoterica regularly! Mercy did some beautiful baylage and gave me the best haircut I've ever had! My hair is pretty long and very thick, so it gets weighted down and I struggle to get volume. I used to tease my hair to get volume every day since high school but after Mercy cut my hair I haven't done it once! She layered my hair perfectly and gave me so much volume!! i could not be happier with her work! Not only is Mercy an amazing stylist, she is an amazing person!
