From the moment you walk in, you are overtaken by all of the colorful beauty that lines the walls and the shelves of this business. It is really a fun place to shop. There's so much stuff! This business has both a front section and a rear section. Both of which are filled with tons of various types of art. The prices here are all very reasonable. It's not like some shops that you go into and you like a piece of art and then you check the price and you're going OMG. That's not the case here. The artwork, the jewelry, and the everything else are what I would consider very reasonable. Overall, if you want a great piece of local art, this is an ideal business to purchase it from.

First stumbled in after Swamp Dog & Friends consolidated to Le Jardin and I was searching for another print to add to our collection in our dining room and ended up discovering more local artists. Absolutely loved seeing some of the art still drying in the back area and the ability to find a gift (for family and friends or just us) so unique and special to New Orleans. Prices vary but the quality is there if you opt for a painting or other piece opposed to a print.

His lovely art varies from pictures of New Orleans during a hard rainstorm, to St. Louis Cathedral in the fog and the people of New Orleans. What I like about Louis Sahuc's work is that it isn't typical New Orleans photography. Yes, there are pictures of the architecture of the city, but his work seems to contain more heart than some of the other work I've seen. I feel like his pictures are meant not only to appeal to tourists, but to find homes with locals as well. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in and check it out.

I was reminded of how lucky I am because whenever I need something, most recently a bathroom cabinet, I know I can come to Disco and find something beautiful and unique (also very often on sale! 50%!) But it's not just furniture. It's an art warehouse, much of it New Orleans-inspired so I often come here for gifts. I always know I can find something, whether wall art or a funky one of a kind lamp. Knobs for drawers and door handles (OK, probably not gifts). Candles. And cats (those aren't for sale). And the staff is always so helpful. On Friday the awesome gal working there helped us put our large cabinet on a dolly and to our car. I felt bad because it was a scorcher of a day and obviously it's a warehouse so no A/C in the main room. That's great customer service.

With that said, this studio has a spectacular shop filled with glass work from various local artists who have blown the glass on site. You can either take in the breathtaking artwork or admire one of the live classes in the back for free! Now to participate in some of the classes, it does come with a fee, but assuming from the professional artwork around and the kind staff, I could not see how it would not be a win win. I cannot comment on the cost for the classes, as I forgot to ask, but judging from the many reviews, it sounds like they have quite a few. I'd suggest visiting their website and or calling ahead and chatting with some of the wonderful employees behind the counter!
