Daniel Kim recently shot my wedding in California and he is AMAZING! I was referred him by a friend…read moreand I really grateful I found such a talented photographer for my wedding and engagement shoot. His work really speaks for itself but here's my review anyway: SHOOTS IN FILM: I honestly didnt know what this meant or why this was good but upon seeing the actual pictures I realized that the film ones' colors really popped and made the pictures that much more beautiful. Apparently most photographers who shoot in film charge a kazillion x the price so I count myself lucky for finding a film photographer in my budget. GIVES GREAT DIRECTION: My now-husband and I were worried we had no idea how to pose and didn't have a list of prepared poses going in but daniel was great at telling us exactly where to stand, where to put our hands, etc. and made us feel super comfortable throughout the session. PROFESSIONAL: He's super accommodating and flexible. He's also very honest-Being the crazy indecisive bridezilla, I of course waited until the last week before I asked him to add more hours to our agreed upon contract for the wedding day (and of course pay a little extra for the additional time). Day of, he tells me he re-read the contract and apparently the hours were already included and I didn't owe him anything! Not only was that a great wedding day surprise but he was super honest about the whole thing and could've easily just accepted the check. So.. on top of being talented and nice, he's just an awesome person all around. :) Sidenote: He lives in AZ but it was still totally worth flying him out for engagement shoot and wedding in the bay area. He's done a lot out here so it felt like he knew the area better than we did when it came to choosing a shoot site!

Got married 09/2025. The day of our wedding it was drizzling on and off all day, followed by…read moreintense heat in between. The staff showed up on time and took decent getting ready pictures. I was excited that they were asking me questions and seemingly getting my responses on video. I liked how I thought they were setting things up with the videography. We took our bridal party photos and SOME photos with family. Prior to the wedding date we had a long phone conversation going over all the pictures my husband and I were wanting, and maybe it was just because we were overwhelmed with the heat, the rush of the day, or something else, but it seems like none of those pictures were taken that we wanted. We brought our dog halfway across town to have pictures with us and it seems like he's only in a couple. The reference pictures I sent to the photographer looked nothing like what was taken. I'm still upset that I don't have pictures with my in laws, my parents individually, my extended family, etc. The rain picked up right after our ceremony and while we were outside taking our landscape pictures. Given that this is a main selling point when they show their galleries, I was disappointed that we had seldom pictures and only one drone shot. Again though, the day was busy. But I wish they pushed us more to get more content, or even candids. Anything to preserve the day. Once dinner was over they asked us if we wanted to go back out and take more pictures but the light was gone and the party was starting. We didn't really want to leave our family waiting so we opted out. They got good footage of the party, and eventually let us know they were heading out for the night. A few days later we received our pictures which were for the most part great, apart from a few blurry and overexposed shots. A few weeks after that we got our videos-which is really where my disappointment sets in. Our compilation wedding video was very nice, no complaints there. The raw video of the ceremony however has major audio issues. The speech videos also have terrible audio, and some are missing. The videographer was kind enough to email me my speech to my mom, but again terrible audio. Given what we invested for the photos and video, I was let down. I still see content made by the company showing their dedication to getting the best for clients and am saddened that we didn't get that treatment. Everyone was incredibly kind but the quality of the pictures and video speaks for itself. Our DJ Tayzen however was incredible, did exactly what we asked, and was very interactive with us, asking questions and keeping us informed. Getting a hold of someone to even book was a pain as well. It took multiple emails and phone calls.

Selecting Skypoint Productions as the videographer our wedding was one of the best decisions we…read morehave made. From the moment we initially met them, Skyler and Kelly Jo had a vision for capturing our special weekend. They took the time to hear what we had in mind and they far exceeded our expectations. We could tell just by talking to them that they were different from all other videographers. The level of professionalism that was put into the editing and the cinematography blew our minds. Skyler and his crew were meticulous with each shot but made everyone feel comfortable. The footage captured was organic and included so many candid moments of our friends and family interacting together. We had a multicultural wedding (Hindu/Buddhist) that took place over an entire weekend. One of the main reasons we went with Skypoint Productions was their knowledge and background in filming Indian weddings. They knew the significance of each event and filmed them perfectly. One of the highlights of the wedding was the same day edit that was shown during our reception. Skyler went above and beyond to film the bridal Mehndi and family religious events days prior to the wedding. Since it was a multicultural wedding there were multiple events, over multiple days, that needed to be filmed. They were able to film our Saturday night Sangeet and both the Hindu and Buddhist ceremonies the day after. Skyler and Kelly Jo used the footage from every event and created the most beautiful wedding video for our guests to view. It was great that everyone attending the reception was able to see every event leading up to the wedding, as well as both of our wedding ceremonies that took place on the same day. We have no idea how they were able to cut and edit all the footage in such a short time to create such a beautiful representation of our wedding weekend. Everyone in attendance for the reception raved about the quality and professional look of our same day edit. Skyler and Kelly Jo are amazing people and we couldn't be happier with our choice using Skypoint Productions.

The price was absolutely reasonable, considering the industry costs in wedding retail. Skyler and his team drove to the destination wedding well ahead of time, scouted the area, and set up the day of the ceremony. They used a drone for amazing high definition aerial footage, and multiple camera angles and microphoned audio for the ceremony! Skyler and his team were able to capture the entire feel and ambience of the event wonderfully and artfully. They began with the wedding day preparation for the bridal party and the groomsmen. They proceeded to capture the ceremony and high definition from multiple angles, and concluded with fantastic footage of the reception dinner and the reception dance that followed. After only a couple weeks following the wedding, the drafted version of the edited completed seven minute video was complete and sent via a YouTube link! We all gathered around to view it and we were blown away at the results... ! The finished product was better than any of us could've dreamed and looked like a professional Hollywood production, complete with fantastic audio/video editing that seamlessly told the amazing story of their special day in 7 minutes! Musical underscores were masterfully added to the sweeping and breathtaking cinematography. Skyler and his team even added rolling clouds reflecting the day's transition from day to night. His use of still photography, aerial drone video, and slow-motion made it all the more wonderful. We will definitely cherish this finished product forever! Skyler and his team are easily worth double the price!
