The only thing exceptional about this company is their ability to pass you to voicemail. No warning, you just get passed on through. Two of my purchase contracts fell through waiting to close a 25 day (seller)escrow and it's now two weeks after the escrow date. No one has contacted me whatsoever unless I pester them. We were in The process of purchasing a home as seller chose escrow 321. The deal fell through escrow refuse to give us back our earnest money until we had a judgment, once we got the judgment they still refuse to give us back our earnest money. I would avoid this company. Most of their "good" reviews are old. The biggest problem is that they are dishonest and their communication is terrible. If you're trying to get ahold of anyone on your escrow, good luck. I called multiple times throughout the process to get updates only to be transferred to a voicemail that never returned my calls. They delayed our escrow for a day because they forgot to send paperwork. It was supposed to close Thursday, they promised us it would be done by Friday morning, and I hadn't gotten anything from them by 4pm on Friday. Radio silence! I would assume if you make a mistake you try an rectify it. I had repairmen and painters coming over the weekend, and waiting to give my 30 day notice and couldn't wait until Monday to get confirmation. I had to call them 5 times to speak to a human being familiar with my case (the Secretary kept forwarding me to a voicemail, even when I called back and spoke to the same guy and *specifically* told him I needed to speak to a human being). Finally I got ahold of my escrow assistant, who told me the deed was recorded. I asked her to please send me an email with that information (since I had absolutely nothing in writing yet) and there was this loooong pause and she says "I would have to log back into your account again to do that." Seriously? You messed up, missed your second deadline, given me zero information and I just spent 20 minutes trying to get ahold of you and you don't want to "log back in"?? So she begrudgingly verifies my email and *promises* me she'll send it out. Then, again, nothing. For over a week. Straight up lied to me. Meanwhile I had to pay an extra five days of rent and reschedule the services I had meticulously planned. They added a ton of stress to an already extremely stressful process. While going through closing, they were holding back money over$2300 dollars for property taxes that I had already paid. I sent them an email from my lender stating that the taxes were paid. They said the would hold onto the money and then give me a refund when the county updated the taxes paid on their website. After the website was updated I asked where is my refund. They told me they would work on it. A week later, I called and asked about my refund. They said they would send another email. I asked them to call me back. Well they have not called or emailed me back, the taxes were paid on December 10th, it is now 2 weeks later and they still have not refunded me. I called and waited on hold until a rude lady answered and took my phone number and said she would call and find out what happened and then she hung up on me. read more
