My friends and I wanted to try the murder mystery train after seeing some of their billboard…read moreadvertisements along 75. We were able to get individual tickets online but still make note that we wanted to sit together, and that all worked out really well. The tickets are expensive (makes sense...you're getting a show, a 5-course meal, and riding a train) and being able to buy separately was really helpful for us. Everything the night of the event ran like clockwork. Boarding the train was easy and fun. We had a table in the Gasparilla train car with lovely servers who took care of us all night. Drinks are pretty reasonable (ice tea and water are included, but you can purchase soda, beer, wine, cocktails) and you can even get a full bottle of wine for your table which you can take home if you don't finish onboard. The meal was better than I expected. It started with a fruit and cheese plate, then we had hot pretzel rolls an butter, a delicious potato leek soup, a salad, and then the appetizer. Our choices were prime rib (friends said it was delicious), chicken francese (I loved it) and salmon. Dessert was a cheesecake. The performers were very animated and enthusiastic. These murder mystery shows are always hard for me to actually follow and figure out. I appreciate all that goes into it, but I wish I was a better sleuth. My only issue is that the train ride itself is VERY long at 3 - 3.5 hours. I love a nice train ride, but I wonder if they could shave a little time off the ride.

The food was fair, had the salmon, husband had the prime rib.. salad was sparse. The wait-staff/…read moregirls worked very hard but service was slow. I'm empathetic on "the construction" of service from one cart to another. Suggest putting kitchen/food cart in the middle!! All things considered, there "system " worked. Pretty incredible actually; the Valentines Train was Packed. Loved the Actors and Actresses, they were quite good! Ambiance was pleasant... Train ride was long but had a fun time. Once again...well done weight staff, sure did work it!! Lovely little show.

This is my favorite restaurant in Ft.Myers.. it's small, cozy, hip, and just perfect. The food is absolutely and without a doubt the best food I've had in Ft Myers. This is a niche tapas restaurant catering to those individuals that enjoy expertly prepared food without any pretense. The restaurant itself is very unassuming with seats for 10 at the bar overlooking the kitchen and booths as well as some awkward seating as you first enter the restaurant that can accommodate up to 20 more people. What impressed me as much as the quality of the food was the quality of our server, RAIZA, who on a scale of one to 10 was a 15. She not only knew the food but her expertise with the wine pairings was superb and I think my son really appreciated her input and selections after he had laid out some of his criteria. We ordered eight items for the three of us and they were all unique, wonderfully tasteful and beautifully presented. Each selection is paired with a different wine and you have ample time between selections to chat and talk about how good the next selection will be. Hopefully my pictures will present an accurate account of how wonderful everything was. This is not the kind of restaurant that I would personally return to on a regular basis but I would welcome the opportunity to come here once a year just to be reminded of how food/dining can be a joyous occasion. It was clear from our visit that liberty has a devout following. It was interesting that there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table and this was for the obvious reason that the food came to the table properly seasoned with no extras required. I would have to say our eight selections were ample but on the light side. We arrived at our reservation time at 5:45 and departed at 7:45, a very leisure dining experience. To summarize, liberty will continue to thrive as long as they are able to maintain their high standards of food and service, kudos to ownership and staff for providing such a unique experience in Fort Myers. The medium rare chocolate chip cookies were good but the cinnamon toast crunch ice cream was beyond compare and I certainly could've used a man's size portion of that as it was so delicious.

The holiday drink specials were fun and tasty with different combos of alcohol and ingredients. The Dip, Dip Hurray was very good as well as the Chichen and The Egg deviled eggs. The smash burger was so good resting in Guoda sauce. The staff is friendly and fun and eager to please your tastes, they stressed that everything is prepared fresh and they can accommodate anything. One last thing that is not food/drink related is this, the bathrooms had signs that said "inclusive". I cannot stress how important and compassionate this is, especially during this time in our society. This shows that you as a company, value everyone who comes in to dine here regardless of who they are. The only negative for this place, and it really isn't a negative, is that you don't have another location in Winter Garden/Orlando Florida. If you did,we would be regulars.

Took refuge at the bar and met with Celines who provided us info on some popular sandwiches. The condiments were stuffed into used beer 6-pack cartons which was a nice custom touch that did not go unnoticed. Ordered a 3D Vagabond Hazy 6.9% and the 10 Twenty Five Double Smash Burger with caramelized onions smothered in smoked gouda cheese and a side of green onion slaw. Holy Crap, it was an easy top three burger. Hard to eat though with a constant smile on my face. The gender assigned bathroom was clean and decorated with beer company placards on the walls and cracked cement industrial flooring. Perfect addition to the rest of the pub.

After the races, we decided to go to Escondido, which is the speakeasy in Taco Works, in Cape Coral. We were two couples having a great time hanging at the bar. We ordered four drinks (old fashions- not cheap, BTW) and after about 30 minutes we PAID our bill!!! Due to the fact that the drinks weren't completely finished, we stayed a little bit longer. After a bit, one of the bartenders gave us the bill AGAIN !! Thankfully, the receipt of payment was sent to my phone and when I showed it to the bartender, she said "oh" and another bartender stepped up behind her to say that he didn't know either; HE was the one who gave us the electronic receipt for payment only minutes before, how could he forget? The bar wasn't busy, not even 10 people with two bartenders sitting at the bar (and we were four of the 10); so they cannot claim that they were overrun with customers! Neither offered an apology nor any acknowledgment of their error/oversight! Hence, our "RED FLAG" was alerted because in ANY establishment, isn't it the job of a BARTENDER/SERVER to KNOW if a bill has been paid, and if they honestly didn't, shouldn't they acknowledge with an apology rather than simply "oh". We were sitting RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!! We will NOT go back because it seems they have a "game" going on where they try to take advantage of people, or they're entirely incompetent at their job. Either way, bad business!

We were just visiting and randomly ended up here, and honestly... I'm still thinking about that meal like it was a past relationship I'm not over yet. First, the Alfredo pasta with mushrooms. I don't know what they put in that sauce, but I'm convinced there was some kind of Italian wizard involved. Creamy, rich, perfectly cooked -- the kind of pasta that makes you pause mid-bite and question why you ever eat anywhere else. Then came the truffle mushroom pizza, which basically ruined all other pizzas for me moving forward. Crispy coal-fired crust, loaded with flavor, and enough truffle goodness to make you feel slightly fancy while still eating like you haven't seen food in three days. The vibe was awesome -- lively but relaxed, the kind of place where you want to hang out longer than you planned. And the service? Super friendly and on point. No hovering, no disappearing act... just perfect timing. We walked in as visitors and left emotionally attached to the menu. 10/10 would travel back to Fort Myers just to eat here again.

We ordered meatballs, garlic bread, baked ziti, and sausage with peppers. The food was good and honestly way too much, so we ended up having dinner from the leftovers later that evening. So why did we pick this restaurant? Well, during renovations they discovered a secret vault under the building that is now covered by a large piece of glass so guests can see it. The building previously operated as a bank, and since Al Capone lived in Miami but spent significant time in Fort Myers, there's speculation that the vault may have been connected to him. Whether that's true or not, it's certainly an interesting quirk that drew me in.
