Fred built us beautiful builtins, redid our kitchen and our bedroom, put in a projector for our media room, ran ethernet cables throughout our walls, solved drainage problems in the basement (simply and quickly!), sub-contracted and managed workers to install HVAC in our house and install new garage doors, put in radiant floor heating, pulled a rotting floating dock out of our pond and rebuilt it, and even put together our outdoor hot tub for us. When workers came to replace our gutters and botched the job he got them to come back and address the issue until the gutters worked perfectly. I've yet to find a job he can't do or find the right sub-contractor for (and then manage them to get the job done). His work is beautiful, and he often has thoughts on better ways to do things than what we thought we wanted. Freds availability to manage work is particularly amazing because his work is on our vacation home where we are not frequently present. I wish I could clone Fred so he could work on our city place as well.

After…read morethe hassle of large-scale contractors with endless scheduling problems with their subs, we decided to find a contractor who would be on the job on a daily basis and who had creative cabinetry ideas. Fred Kopilak, with custom cabinet experience and a complete skill set, turned out to be just the kind of contractor we wanted. Fred's work was excellent and well thought out. We ended up with a kitchen that exceeded our expectations. His suggestions provided us with a finished product that is unique and truly outstanding. The work was done on schedule and on budget. A final word on Fred's character. I feel that being able to rely upon a craftsman's work and integrity is critical to a project of this sort. Fred proved time and time again that he could be trusted and relied upon. He didn't cut corners and delivered a first class finished product.

His clever mind and background in engineering came in handy, especially when attaching our existing roof to the new roof. We will be hiring him again for sure as we have a few other smaller construction projects in the near future. Our experience with previous Contractor's has not been good , so of course we were cautious when we contacted Meiso back in April. He strung us along for almost three months by not committing to a start date. When he did finally give us a start date, he wanted us to hold less money on the back end, than what is required (10 -15 % hold money). When I offered to meet him half way, so we can feel comfortable that he would be back to finish the work. The owner stated that ..."he is not feeling this project and best of luck" then ghosted me. Every homeowner knows how hard it is to find a good contractor, but impossible to find one during the summer season. So getting our dormer/ roof fixed, repairing our back porch and remodeling our shower stall will all have to be on hold.
