First, before the room even begins, the staff is brilliant with their customer service, genuine enthusiasm and easy laughter. Then we get to the rooms! They are perfectly laid out for maximum comfort of small and large groups, the puzzles aren't easy but also aren't impossible and the themes are mastered. Hints, nudges, suggestions and directions, all freely given with the push of a button. The game master is in tune with you and your direction throughout the game, offering gentle hints or big hints if you need them. We found the gold in Gold Rush (escaped) and set time straight (escaped) in Timeliner. We would have loved to do a few others but had to hit the road. We'll be back for sure and will seek other Escape Game locations along the way!

It was $31.99 per person ages 11 & up. There was only four of us (ages 38,30,14, & 13), so with a larger group it may not be as tricky. This was our third time playing escape games here, and they have yet to disappoint. We did Diamond Heist first and then the Haunting (which I highly recommend especially for teens and up). The employees here are awesome!! They are friendly, down to Earth, and welcoming. The games here are also much more affordable than those at the Escape Games at the Island. They are currently working on creating two more games as of July 2021, and we are super excited for those to be ready. We enjoyed it so much we're going back again before our trip is over! They have the best / most helpful clues I've seen yet. I saw some complaints in reviews about people saying clues didn't necessarily help them and one of my teammates said the same thing however if you read closely they're probably pointing out a detail you're doing wrong if you think you're already doing what the clue says, just pay closer attention! Although the weather wasn't ideal--light rain and chilly temperatures--it didn't take away from the experience. We started by walking around and taking everything in. There are so many cute shops, unique stores, and plenty of great photo opportunities throughout the area. We did a little shopping, sampled some food, and purchased tickets to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, which was a highlight. Before heading out, we made one last stop at Ole Smoky Moonshine, which is always a fun experience. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, we still had a great time and really enjoyed our visit. The Island has a fun, lively atmosphere and offers something for everyone--we'd definitely go back!

With that being said, we found it a bit of a tourist trap and pricey, but that was to be expected for the area and kind of place this is. There are tons of alcohol tasting places and food places through out here. I still think if you want more authentic tastings and food, to go to downtown Gatlinburg instead (it's all similar enough though). We also did a wine tasting here and all the wines were so sweet for my palette. I did enjoy the shops and pursuing around this beautiful area. A great spot to get some steps in. Many places also offer free samples of food to (like the candy store) so don't be afraid to go in and try.

There's also a candy store inside, and soft serve, and lots of sweets. It's a candy-lover's dream in here. It's like being in Candy Land, with golf clubs. So, there are two 18-hole golf courses here: one indoor, one outdoor. You can play one or the other, or both for slightly more. I personally liked the outdoor course the best because I like fresh air, but the indoor one is fun too, with dim lighting and fun music playing. As we were leaving, I noticed that there's also a miniature bowling alley here, as well as an escape room. Lots of fun to be had.

We had to switch to another lane since the pins were not coming all down or it was malfunctioning at times. The 5 year old was scared during some of the lights out portions of the game, but afterwards said The Tomb was her favorite part of our trip. The 11 year old was super engaged and all 6 of us got to play a part in solving the puzzles to get through the levels of this Indiana Jones inspired riddle course.
