I do not recommend this escape room at all. All our group of 10 agreed that this was the worst escape room we've ever attended (and we've done quite a few). The helper up front gave off a weird, unfriendly vibe as soon as we arrived which set an unpleasant tone. We were a large fun-loving group, and he certainly didn't help set a great mood. Everything looked very cheesy and homemade...not at all like some of the classy, professional rooms I've attended in the past. The room didn't flow and the puzzles didn't make sense as part of an overall theme....but the worst part was that some of the items and locks didn't work even though we correctly figured out what we were supposed to do with an item....like slide a key card through a box to open, but the keycard didn't work. We got out of the room on time, but none of us were the least bit excited about it and couldn't wait to get out of there. I definitely recommend finding a different place in Destin!! read more

We were looking to have a family night out experience with our adult children at 9 p.m. on a Thursday night. There were 5 of us and from the photos that I saw on the website that would have been a good fit for the escape room. But we were grouped with another family of three adults and a very active, assertive child. Everyone was polite and cordial . But overall the experience was aggravating. There were too many live bodies along with a child moving about and adding extraneous energy. Also, we arrived early to prep for the room (as we have at other escape rooms) and there was not a lot of information given. I think that there needs to be more information provided especially for groups who are looking for a fun time of bonding without meeting new people. If we had been told ahead of time that our family of 5 adults would be grouped with a family with a child, we would have foregone the experience until there was an opening that would have accommodated just our group at whatever expense. As I said they were nice people but it was not a good match for our group. Be sure to ask questions before you purchase. Maybe you'll have fun. read more

We (a group on 6 moms) did this as part of a birthday celebration for one. We had a lot of fun. We did the Special Ops room (it was the only one available for the time we needed! I thought the room was pretty difficult. Lots of number clues everywhere. You have to try to figure out which numbers go where... Honesty, I didn't love the room/challenge but we all had so much fun doing it together. The guys up front we're nice and helpful. I definitely want to go back and try a different room. First, let me start out by saying my husband and I have enjoyed many room escape games all over the United States. This particular one was a terrible room escape experience! We were paired with a family of 4 for the Zombie Apocalypse game. When we all arrived, everyone seemed very friendly and talkative. As I said before we have enjoyed many games before with big and small groups but have never had any issues. Once we got into the room, we spent about 20 minutes trying to participate in the escape clues but the other family seemed to want to do it on their own. They weren't including us in any clues and at one point one of the sons pushed me out of the way and continued working on the clue I was trying to solve. After that I pretty much gave up in trying to take part. So we basically ended up spending $56 bucks to stand in a room for an hour while the other family continued with the game. Not a very fun experience and am seriously regretting wasting the money. Update: I am altering my review after being contacted by the owner who provided a full refund even though our experience was no fault of their own. Very much appreciated. read more

This was my first escape room experience, so I did a lot of research on this establishment before we went, including reviews on Trip Advisor. While most reviews are positive, the consistent complaint is poor customer service. My experience was stellar all around. I don't know if we lucked out with an enthusiastic employee, or if the staff has improved. We tried the crime scene room, which we failed miserably at, but still had a fun experience (in large part due to the help provided by our host). Apparently, that's the most difficult escape room and it is recommended that you team up with ten people (there are a lot of clues to try to solve, so the more ppl the better). I would love to come back and try one of the other rooms at a later time. Also, they post your group picture afterward on their Facebook site, which was a nice touch. read more

Our family tried the murder mystery and were disappointed with our experience. This is not a linear game; meaning the clues don't lead to other clues for the most part. Things that don't make sense are clues and things that are irrelevant to the plot are the answers. Overall, this is an escape room that wants to boast about being difficult but utilizes irrelevant information for clues. Spoiler alert!! ***For example: one of the answers to a clue is the investigative officers name, which makes no sense as the back story is we are investigating the murder, so how would that name be a part of the murder plot? *** Additionally the safe didn't work and the majority of the room was haphazardly our together. The entire point of escape rooms in my opinion and experience is to have fun and promote treat work, this did neither. read more

We did the Spec Op room. It was fun and it had some cool puzzles to solve. We felt it had a few too many red herrings for the room but that's our opinions. A fairly price experience that's good for the entire family. Tip: Finding the place is not easy. Give yourself extra time to find the building which is behind one of those Alvin's beach store. read more

I always do escape games when I travel since I've done all the ones in my hometown. I did the Mummy's Tomb. This one was very well designed. The sets and props were well crafted, and there were puzzles I hadn't done before. The owners designed them themselves instead of buying from a third party. I'd definitely recommend it. If you've not done escape rooms before this one wasn't so hard that it would be frustrating for you. If you have done them before, it's challenging enough that you won't be bored. read more

This place was cool. Though the rooms are too complex to do with children. The room was very challenging even for the adults. We still had a good time once we just decided that we didn't have the crew we needed to get out, we accepted that we were going to die and unfortunately not make it out. I think the experience would have been better had there been rooms geared towards families with children with lower level puzzles and then the normal rooms for adults. Just a thought read more

I went with a group of 4 people. We didn't have any expectations going into it. We where all disappointed with the turn out. The challenges weren't very interactive and for the first 20 minutes nothing was achieved. We all left feeling disappointed. I wonder if other franchises are better. We did the zombie apocalypse and as far as the game goes it was fun and interactive. We were a little loss to begin with but you are allowed 3 clues throughout the game so that helps. The lack of the additional 2 stars was related to room design and customer service. The people working there didn't seem overly excited to talk about the establishment or the games, most of the other places I've been too ask if you ever done an escape room, are talkative, and smile a lot, didn't get much of that here. Room rules was explained and they have a key on the back of door in the escape room for any emergency or you need to stop so that you can get out. Also they have lock boxes that you have to put your phone in during the game, you are responsible for Keeping up with the key. The waiting area was a hodge podge of little mind games/toys and props. They had a table with props to and signs to take pictures of after you did a room. I thought the signs could of been done a little better vs looking like it was hand made. The room wasn't overly done, don't expect anything too realistic (I'm just basing this off my other experiences where rooms resembled jail cells, computer rooms with switchboards, or you had to go through several rooms in one escape, etc). This was a single room escape. I thought it was very interactive and the clues kind of flowed together which I like. We did hit a few road blocks here and there. Fortunately for us we escaped with about 7 mins left. Overall we had fun. The price was $30 a person and they did offer military discounts. We did the zombie apocalypse one and the guys "clue" in the beginning played a tricky on us. All in all great way to make you think as a team. Would not recommend.... *The first strike is we were told to be 15 min. early for our scheduled time, which we were only to find no one there and the doors locked, 15 mins. later someone arrives and lets us in. *Second strike... The room was small and un-interactive. just a bunch of lockboxes you had to find the key to unlock. When unlocked nothing of importance to the game was found just a piece a childes puzzle map... not very entertaining *Third strike... The cost was $30.00 a person which is understandable if you are going to be entertained. It was a very dole and boring experience. Will NOT be back! read more

On spring break, we had a large group that did two different rooms. Going in, I had very high expectations from "The Escape Game" in Nashville. Overall, I was not impressed. It was just one single room instead of a connection of rooms like I've seen in the past. Getting there, we arrived the suggested 15 mins early and there was no one there. We had to wait about 10 minutes before someone showed up. Then, we were left in the waiting room for 15 minutes while the rooms were being prepared and the game guide had no idea which rooms we were doing. The design of the room was not anything great and a lot of the clues included riddles in cheap picture frames pictured around the rooms and some random puzzles that did not follow the theme. The games guides were not as excited and enthusiastic as I've seen in the past. The room itself was quite challenging because a lot of the clues didn't flow together. There were so many locks that looked the same and it was quite difficult to go from lock to lock. If you've never done an escape room before, this would probably be a fun experience but I would highly recommend waiting until you're in a city with "The Escape Game". read more
