I felt very comfortable with him and his father working in my home while I was out of town and at work. My only complaint was that there was dust all over my apartment after the demolition. Mike kindly offered a credit for a cleaning service to help remedy that, which I appreciated. The tiling came out great, I would definitely hire Mike again!

I've held off leaving a review until he finished my second project because he's a hidden gem. Once people realize how talented he is, you'll have to join a waiting list to hire him. Mike possesses a true mastery of his craft. I know a lot of people that would do a good job as long as there are no surprises. Mike will do an excellent job no matter the circumstances because he's probably seen it before and knows how to fix it. He has the confidence and knowledge to walk into a room and get to work. He's not going to call his manager or google the next step. He is the manager; he is the go-to guy. Secondly, he has a good eye for design too. For my vestibule, I had an idea of what I want. I explained it in my layman's terms and hazy descriptions and he saw what I was envisioning. I didn't need to over-explain it or draw a picture. He just got it. Also, and more importantly, he's honest. He gave me an estimate and stuck to it. That never happens. Anyone else would have charged extra when they discovered the subfloor was rotted, or when they saw a 10 degree slope in the corner. Mike didn't. He stuck to what he said and even fixed a few wall tiles in the kitchen - no charge. Not to mention, his prices are a bargain. People with half his skill, wanted a whole lot more. Lastly, he's a friendly guy. I know it can feel awkward having a stranger in your home. Not with Mike. He's trustworthy, down to earth, and you'll be friends in no time.

Orlandini Tile Supplies - Just some of the selection

Orlandini was recommended to us by a contractor for our kitchen backsplash…read more The location truly is off the beaten path. We had to cross over this strange little rickety bridge looking thing which isn't even really paved. Thank goodness my husband was in the car with me because it looked very sketch and I definitely would have thought I was in the wrong spot and turned around if I was by myself. He told me to keep going...and I did...and we arrived at Orlandini. The hilarious thing is they actually have a sign saying something to the effect of yes, this is really it! I cracked up when I saw it. The parking lot is humongous. it looks like a warehouse from the outside. It isn't particularly branded. I am just giving you the most detailed account I can so you know what to expect when you approach it because I was not expecting it at all. It's not unsafe or anything, it just wasn't what I anticipated and it threw me off. There is a normal glass door that we walked through to enter. Upon entering we were surrounded by tile. There are a few different sections; a front, a middle and a back. Someone said hello to us and let us know someone would be with us in a moment. We started perusing on our own. We didn't notice any particular organization method to how the tile was arranged in the store. Without any guidance we really didn't know what we were getting into outside of just seeing what we liked. We had four separate choices in our hands before someone was able to help us. We asked some questions and got some answers. He looked at the tile in my hands and immediately told me that we had some of the more expensive tile picked out (of course). I was already pretty attached to my top choices by that point so we asked for prices. We gave him the measurements our contractor took and he told us to give him a minute and then he gave us price points for each tile. What I really appreciated was that we could take the tile with us so we could see it in our home with our lighting and our paint, etc. That was huge! They took our information to ensure that the tile would be returned. If we didn't return it, we would have been charged for it. They told us to have it back in approximately 3-4 days. We wanted to keep one of them longer so we returned the other three and he told us it wasn't a problem to keep the 4th a bit longer. He also gave us a collection of grout samples to choose from. I know nothing about tile so that was unexpected for me. lol When we walked around Home Depot with the winning sample we got lots of compliments on it! One couple asked if we got it at HD. We told them no and referred them to Orlandini and they put it in their phone to head over. They have a much more expansive selection to choose from at Orlandini. Home Depot and Lowe's all have pretty basic stuff to choose from and not much of a selection. If you are looking to go out of the box I would highly recommend Orlandini. When it was time to order our (original) contractor called and gave all of the specs to the employee and then handed the phone off to me. I gave my credit card info and we were good to go! He called the (original) contractor when the tile was in and he went to pick it up for us. We had the perfect amount. There was hardly any waste. We didn't like the "pencil" our (original) contractor ordered (without us seeing it) and they let us return it which we appreciated. We couldn't return the one slab of tile we had leftover because it was a special order. It was on the pricey side but that was my own fault for having expensive taste. I do think it would be a good idea to have the tile arranged by price level so when you are walking around by yourself you have an idea of what you're getting in to. I guess they wouldn't luck out with people like me, then. lol. It would also probably be pretty difficult to keep track of that system with people taking tile in and out on a regular basis. The tile came in pretty quickly, was great quality and looks amazing in our kitchen! We are super happy with the finished product. My husband said it looks even better than he anticipated. Their hours aren't the most convenient for people that are working. They stated their hours are different because of covid. Fortunately I am working from home and my boss let me leave a little early so I was able to get there before they closed. But you will need to plan to get there before 4:00 because that's when they close. Covid protocol: masks are required. Since they aren't a big box store they weren't crowded (at least whenever we were there they weren't) which makes it easy to social distance from other customers. There were only a couple of people in there when we were and they weren't close to us. No temperature checks and I don't recall seeing hand sanitizer but that doesn't mean it wasn't there somewhere and that I just didn't notice. I recommend Orlandini for all of your tile needs. Shop small!

I cannot say enough about the staff here at Orlandini's tile…read more We walked in with some pictures for one project and then let the kids pick tile for a second Project. When we had pictures and a clear vision for what we wanted, the staff was able to quickly show us some options and make picking that project quick and easy. For the kids project, they were able to interact with us as well as our kids and figure out what they liked. The staff took time to ask questions and interact with the kids so that they could understand what they wanted. When that was done, they actually gave us some less expensive options to look at since the kids picked some of the most expensive accent tile in the showroom. Please try this supplier. You won't be disappointed

It is clear they work on commission, because I had two people help me because the first salesperson I spoke to was not there when I came in to finish the order. The second salesperson needed to ask manager how handle this when writing up the order. It seemed to matter. I must also note that most of the people I spoke to at the company were nice except for one person that I spoke to at service department in King of Prussia. I called from 8 am until I reached someone at 10:30 on the day they were supposed to come install my backsplash. I expressed my frustration about calling all morning and not reaching anyone until 10:30 for an install that day, and the gentleman that answered the phone corrected me in a clearly annoyed tone that it was still early because it was only 10:30. At this point I am confident that the install that was supposed to happen that day is clearly not going to happen. It has been my experience that installers start earlier than 10:30. Four appointments were made the day of the sale. The template date, the install grant date, the remove backsplash date and the install backspash date. The template date went fine without a hitch. On the install granite day, they came on time and worked quickly but did not bring the sinks that were ordered. The installer told me they would be out the next day with the sinks. The next morning, I was expecting a call giving me a delivery window but didn't get one. I called service department and was told by the service technician that the installers are not authorized to give delivery windows and they would be out the NEXT day. I now have torn up walls, grantite counter tops and no sinks for two days. I should mention here that I used my own plumber to hook up sinks and had to rearrange plumbing hookup according to his schedule. The day of the install for the backsplash came and after not receiving a call for delivery window, I called and got the frustrated service technician. He had Ryan, the new tile manager call me back. Apparently, Ryan was new, and the old tile manger never ordered my tiles. It would now take 5-6 weeks to get the tiles I ordered. Ryan was very apologetic and went into action quickly. He picked another tile for me and long story short, sent me pictures so I could see tiles. I needed for this project to happen quickly and didn't have time to go to showroom. I need to mention Ryan was great. My original install date was Tuesday, and they had the new tiles installed that Friday. I do believe these tiles are smaller than what I originally ordered. I did request a refund of some of what I paid for job because they got all of their money up front, but the installs were problematic. Ryan couldn't help me with that. I knew salesperson wouldn't be any help either, because at this point, they seemed to only yes me, the times I did call them to complain about the issues with the install. Will not use them again.

The overhang on the west edge adjacent to the range counter is 1-1/4" in front and 1-1/2" in the rear. They didn't caulk around the rangetop with uneven gaps on either side which I will fix. Counters had two large chips to be filled with epoxy. The right edge of the sink sticks in beyond the granite, the left is flush. The front counter edge projects forward of the sink on left and is flush on right side. The installers were tugging on the sink to move it and the face frame of the sink cabinet pulled off. Each time they returned I had to set out plywood counters and remove/replace the faucet. The worst part is the template guy said they would get the counter right on the sink edge when I suggested an overhang. He talked us into a straight counter edge instead of the D configuration we wanted and now the edges aren't parallel
