Matt's was one of several estimates I sought, and pricing was all over the place. Matt's bid was competitive and fair, and he demonstrated a depth of knowledge and familiarity that made me immediately comfortable hiring him. Due to scheduling conflicts with another contractor installing a deck for me, I threw Matt a few curveballs. At least twice I had to ask him to move his start date, and when his team did arrive, the deck contractors were totally in his way. Throughout, Matt was patient and focused on his work. The guys he brought with him worked tirelessly over four days to excavate, remove old materials, prepare proper drainage missing from the old wall, rebuild the wall with new EP Henry pavers and regrade the area around the new wall - as well as around my driveway. Matt and his crew went above and beyond, doing extra regrading work not included in his estimate at no additional charge. And they cleaned up the work area at the end of the job beautifully. The wall looks so good that the old, shabby brick pavers by my pool now look sad by comparison. I'll be asking Matt Burns to come back to address that issue, and others, in the future. See…read morebefore and after photos - I needed a 7' x 10' area dug up, leveled, and covered with concrete. Larry came the same day I called him and gave me a quote on-the-spot. It was (by far) the most inexpensive quote we received for this project. I honestly feel like I got away with murder for how little I paid and how much Larry and his men busted their asses for us. I hired Larry on May 17th and he finished everything on May 29th. My one and only complaint is that Larry isn't the most consistent communicator. I would have loved a few more texts from him telling me when I could expect him to arrive, what work they planned to do during the day, if he wasn't going to come like he had last told me, etc. BUT, in the end, he slayed this task and I have nothing to bitch about. I'd rather have someone who isn't the best communicator do a job for me accurately and efficiently than have some dude texting me constantly about how he can't finish, can't come, etc. etc. I'd certainly hire Larry again for concrete work.

On site, Luis and crew had our old steps dismantled and removed in less than a day; the replacement steps took only a few more days to build. They perfectly matched the schist stone of my home's foundation for the risers and when a few of my side path flagstones got cracked in the process of moving, they were replaced with new matching pieces. The team cleaned up each day and power washed after the job was complete. The best part? The fair price, which was less than others who wanted to stucco the risers or only wanted to work with brick.
