This was the first place we stopped on our visit to Menorca and the view alone would make it…read moreworthwhile but we had delicious Tapas and wines as well.
Overlooking the Harbor, we sipped the house tinto vino and let the delicious Menorcan breeze brush over our faces while warmed by the Spanish sun.
We had the selection of cheeses and meats (local Menorcan cheese, chorizo, and sausage) sooo good! perfect compliment to the wines. We also enjoyed the mussels whihc were fresh, juicy, and very impressive. Generally, mussels are usually only act ass a vessel for which to consume whatever delicious broth they come in...and though the broth was tasty, it was deceptively simple. It was just a standard creamy buttery garlic sauce, which really allowed the plump, juicy mussels to shine. Delicate flavors, but warm and wonderful...we were really surprised at how much the mussels took on the flavor and texture of the creamy broth.
Another simple yet fantastic treat we had was the tomato bread which is exactly what it sounds like: toasted bread topped with diced tomatoes. The tomatoes were seasoned simply with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Overall, very tasty and picturesque spot.
