Would that I could, I'd walk in and make it rain SO hard, but I do manage to treat my self! Eryngium is a bleeping WONDERLAND!! One of my dearest longtime friends introduced me to Eryngium when I first moved to Portland last summer. Since then, I'm always scheming for reasons to visit from SW Portland. The shop is *exquisitely* appointed with an incredible variety of paper, ephemera, rubber stamps, a plethora of writing instruments (swoon fountain pens), inks, copious stationery, stickers, {takes a shuddering breath}, washi tape, vintage postage stamps, journals, stunning jewelry, and itty bitty heart-adored paperclips for crying out loud! {dabs sweat from brow} If you are a stationery aficionado, get thyself to Eryngium Papeterie. Aside from the beautiful space and luscious stationery finery, the owner, Crystal, is an adorable marvel-- warm, welcoming, hilarious, helpful, and clearly loves her work. The entire team is lovely and kind. This is hands-down the best stationery wonderland I've had the delight to visit and shop in my lifetime. Love this store! What a great selection of stationary, stickers, wax seals, rubber stamps, paper products, wrap, ephemera, writing materials, postcards, envelopes, I could go on! If you need it to write, Eryngium has it! I went in one day to look for postcards since I got into penpalling and this was the closest store, having seen the instagram page from a recommendation on yelp I was very interested to see what was inside, I was very happy to see what else was there! Now I've come in and found other lovely things to buy and have stepped up my penpal game 10 fold and found other wonderful small businesses that Eryngium stocks like Portland Stamp Co! Postcards and my main love but I also keep coming back for the stickers and tiny cards as little goodies to add to bigger packages I send to international penpals. I find the cost for the quality very reasonable, as much if not all of the items are hard to find or specialty, and I don't see any price gouging or mark ups! I highly recommend you come in and take a look at all the amazing things in this store, you could get lost looking in every tiny drawer and all the small ephemera in them. Such a lovely new shop in Vancouver! especially because it has a cute drawing corner for the kiddos - meaning I could shop peacefully while my kiddo drew a lion! the store has a wide variety of options as well as price ranges, which I appreciated. Hello, my name is Lori and I love papier. I love stationary, I love wrapping paper, I love cards, I love notecards, I love notepads... I love it all, which means I also love pens, markers, writing implements, stamps, tapes, which alllll boils down to I love all Papeteries. The shop owner is super kind and friendly and chats with all of her customers and makes them feel welcome and appreciated. Her dog is also a sweet soul. I found the perfect card here for my husband. My one and only wish for this store (selfishly) would be for it to be larger and more spacious and have more items so we could all walk around and have more to look at... HA! This is a beautiful shop and you are not going to want to leave. you're going to want to sit at the adorable table in the window and spend hours there! if there were more tables and a coffee or tea stand, I'd have to be evicted out of here and I'm sure I'm not alone in having that sentiment. read more

This place is amazing. You end up finding more things you didn't know you wanted. The amount of stationary mind blowing. The owner is so helpful, yes there's usually a number of people in the store but she takes the time to talk to you and help you find what you need. Everyone if she doesn't have the paper or stamps or wax you are looking for, she's more than happy to get you going in the right direction. I've spent house just looking and trying different things to write with. Now that my family has moved to DC, I'm having a hard time finding a place that is as inspiring.
