Eryl Surgery was my local GP practice when I was a temporary resident of Llantwit Major, and my first experience dealing with the NHS.
And I'm pleased to say it was a positive one. Everyone, from the receptionist to the GPs, possesses the kind and gentle manner akin to what I'd seen in black and white movies from the Golden Era. It's too bad my move to the Big Smoke marked the end of my visits to Eryl Surgery.
Comprised of a six-doctor practice covering a large area of the Vale of Glamorgan, with branches in Rhoose and St Athan, the surgery is actually a training practice where medically qualified registrars, who are doctors in training for general practice, work out of the office for six month periods.
Eryl's Surgery also offers a range of specialist clinics, including family planning, heart disease and antenatal care. read more
