A wonderful little niche in Chattanooga. It's in a cozy house with chairs, sofas, and tables and…read moreshelves and shelves of books. They have a coffee shop there where I had the best London Fog ever. They had a great selection of newer and classic books for adults and kids. I came in with my four children and everyone found something they liked. We will be coming again when we have more time!

We were the only ones in there and then two others joined us. I would NEVER suggest this but what I thought was random became really uncomfortable as a worker seemed to follow us in each room. My son was in one room, my little one in the kids section with me and my husband looking around. She just kept popping in and not asking if we needed help but just watching us. I didn't have a purse or a bag with me. I am darker and my husband and kids are lighter. I was going to brush it off when my little one went to pay for us books and then sat in the front room in the couch. It was just us and here she came again but sat down her laptop across from us. Now I am a mix of annoyed and pissed off. Would you like for us to spend money there or make us so uncomfortable we leave? My oldest picked up on it and asked what the deal was. I finally said out loud to my husband "why does she keep following us in every room?" I didn't want to make a scene so we went across the street and enjoyed some yummy goodies. I have no idea what that was about but that was the worst experience I've ever had in Chattanooga and we were from NYC. Please do better!'n

Tons of books--older ones, not a lot of current. But the place stinks of cigarettes. If you're not…read morea smoker and don't want to come out of there smelling like an ashtray, don't go. Or be very prepared. I found two books I've been looking for so that's a plus.

On a road trip from Nashville to Knoxville, my husband and I decided to take a detour here because we saw the signs from the freeway. Being the avid reader that I am, I was intrigued. This store is pretty big what a lot of books that are organized by genre or type and in alphabetical order. But some books are also just randomly placed that doesn't make any sense. Books are priced very cheaply, only being a few dollars (most of the books I saw was priced $4 or less) and some are in fairly good condition. But just as previous Yelp members had written in their review, the restroom in the back does not have any soap but had hand sanitizer. Also only the cold water side was working and came out slow (as nerdy as it sounds, this is one of the reasons I like to travel with pocket soap sheets). I ended up purchasing 2 books but probably could have purchased more and spend more time here browsing. But only have limited space to bring back with us on the plane and also we still had to drive to our final destination. I do want to mention that when I first came in here, the employees did not greet me, which is fine. But they did greet the woman who came in after me. There were 3 older employees at the register and only asked the woman if she needed any help but not me. But later on when I did pay for my items, a sweet girl was friendly and had asked if I found everything that I was looking for. Customer service can be a hit or miss. And this store is best for those who enjoy browsing and looking for hidden gems (reminds me of the clothing racks at Ross and Marshalls where you have to search for items).
