A man by the name of Bridger in their fraud department, though I was informed by a specialist in their organization just yesterday that they would not withhold the stimulus money because they recognize how important it is, said he was going to override that and not give it to me. I insisted that was not correct and they asked me to come to the branch and they should honor that since I tried to avoid this even before it was deposited and they wouldn't let me close the account. BRIDGER THEN HANGS UP ON ME AND WHEN I CALL BACK TO REPORT HIS BEHAVIOR TO HIS SUPERVISOR HE ANSWERS THE CALL AND THREATENS MY FREEDOM BY STATING THAT IF I COME BACK TO ANY BRANCH AGAIN I WILL BE ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING. HE THEN HANGS UP ON ME AGAIN. Because he was acting inappropriately with me I was insisting to speak with his supervisor in a more animated fashion and then the branch manager comes down to the lobby where only I was and threatens me with police as well if I don't leave. I clearly told her I was on the phone with members of her organization that were wronging me and instead of offering help, she threatened my liberty as well if I did not leave. Five stars to this whole branch, and 50 stars to Tyrell!…read more I came in today to talk about doing a balance transfer from my US Bank credit card (which has been a money pit with an interest rate of 22%). Tyrell walked me through all sorts of different options for balance transfers and explained that he could get me a credit card with an interest rate of 8.99%. After giving me the deets about all the different cards, I said, "With your knowledge of how balance transfers work, how your credit is affected by them, and knowing that my goal is to get this bad boy paid off as quickly as possible--what do you suggest I do?" To which he replied, "Hold on. There is another option. Let me see if I can work my magic." And that is exactly what he did. I walked in with a credit card that had an interest rate of 22%, and a car loan with an interest rate of about 5%. I left with both of those consolidated (refinanced) into one loan with an even lower interest rate (around 4.35% I believe)! So amazing. Also, these payments combined into one will now be saving me about $100/month, while only lengthening the life of my loan by a few months. All of that said, I am a very happy camper. I cannot say how nice it feels to know that I will no longer be throwing away a ridiculous amount of money each month on interest. Beyond saving me money, I feel like I learned so much about finances today--credit scores, how to improve them, etc. Tyrell didn't just try to get me in and out of there, he really listened to what I was looking for, educated me, and helped me come up with a solution that was perfect for my situation. Not that I'm mad about the 1500 I owed, but they never told me the interest would go at the end. Zero trust and deceiving practice. All about money and profit than people's interests.
