That fall our next door neighbor had his house painted by a different painting company. While that company was painting they stopped by and asked if we were interested in having our house painted. They gave me a quote, but we decided to hold off until this spring. My wife called Paint It Rite and left my phone number to arrange for them to come over look at the house, and give us a quote. The owner J. (no idea what J. Stands for by the way), called a couple of hours later and came over in the afternoon. We discussed what we wanted, J looked at the house and gave us a quote a thousand dollars less than the one the other company had given us. After coming to agreement he told me his wife would come over later with a contract and a color chart. When she came by she also brought a copy of their insurance, which was nice. The next morning a lone worker came by to power wash the house. He spent a solid day doing this, which I felt was impressive. The next day two workers came by and started caulking every nail hole and seam on the house. The following day the painting started, but because of high winds they were forced to stop for the day. They were back the next day to resume, turns out we had a misunderstanding with J about an shed we wanted painted along with the house. J didn't bat an eye "if you thought it was supposed to be painted then we are going to paint It. I asked him to give me a quote he just smiled said nope and painted it. T& J Painters were referred to us for a condominion renovation we were doing. We were not in town…read moreduring much of the work which included removing popcorn ceilings and painting all interior walls, trim, cabinets and ceilings,for approximately 1K square feet. The job was one of the worst I have experienced. Our property was treated terribly. Cigarette butts thrown throughout the,hard, furniture was not only not covered but they actually walked on the sofa in their boots (i assume rather than get a ladder) before and after the cushions were removed. In,addition, they used our basement bathroom sink and shower to wash their paint brushes without bothering to clean up after themselves. I wish I could post pictures of the shower and toilets. The quality of the painting and attention to detail was horrible and does not appear they did any prep work or bothered to sand before painting the trim. After coming back twice asking for touch up they stopped returning calls. It is still not satisfactory. The household items had been moved to the garage and after arriving we found we were missing a small TV, a new drill and a an unopened bottle of whiskey that was stored on shelves in the garage. And that is just what we are aware of at this point. I would strongly encourage you to ask for and speak to any referrals if they can provide any. We used them based on our contractor giving them a trial run.
