Took the little people who I babysit out for a day of fun…read more We love parks and had never been here before so decided to check it out. There is foam matting to break falls (because we know they will happen), there's bench tables as well as other places to sit. I liked that the park was set up for different ages and was inclusive, however we apparently went on a day when most kids were out of school so there were times that the big kids were running around and almost knocking over the little kids or big kids playing in areas that are intended for smaller kids. Would we go back? The kids loved it and said they had fun and want to go back so that's what really matters.

This park has almost everything a child would want in a playground. Safe surfaces, safe equipment…read more However, this is not the kind of park where you can take your eyes off a child under the age of 10. My then-7 y/o son was able to climb 8 feet up a structure for its intended use and jump off "on a dare" by other kids and ended up in the ER. I've also assisted with autistic children that elope and get separated due to the multiple exits. There are also multiple places to have a party, first come first served. This also makes things extra crowded. I haven't been there in a while since the heat, but I am hoping they will maintain a good-sized field because independent play (soccer, football, kite flying, etc.) are just as important as playground structures.

First time camping!! Had no idea what to expect. I reserved my spot the day before online. I love…read morehow "private" our campsite was. You are only allowed two cars. Definitely appreciate the picnic table, covering and running water. We brought our own potty but a few minutes away there were bathrooms. As far as privacy, our campsite was directly across another which wasn't super private. I'm not sure about noise rules, but at 9 am someone was driving blasting country music. There were many trails and Joe Pool where you could go swimming and boating. The day pass spot was great for picnics and gatherings. I would definitely bring more tables to put things on. Also seating... chairs and lounging options like a hammock are needed. Bring bikes, games, wood, and other activities. People do drive crazy so just be careful. There are many options for your campsite... there are beach front options and in the sticks. Space to have 2 maybe even three tents... there were RVs as well. The stars at night were amazing and our alarm, the birds gave it a great ambiance. I will definitely be more prepared next time.

The park itself is huge! It sits along Joe Pool Lake. We rode our bikes around the first night -…read more6.6 miles and probably only saw half of it! There are lots of places to picnic, swim, launch your boat and more. As for the campsites themselves, they could really use some TLC. The pavement where you park is crumbling (saw this on all the sites), roads coming in are rough and bumpy so go slow. It looks like they haven't cut the grass in ages. For our site, the grass is mid-shin high and you have to "wade" through it to get to the picnic table. Our site is just wide enough and long enough for our 40' RV and Jeep. The sites are pretty private with trees in between each site.
